    The best part of this story was where Daredevil confronts Spider-Man, he says "If you want him, you'll have to go through me".

      To elaborate for those curious but unable to read for yourself: Eddie Brock jumped on the first "fake" Sin Eater story before Det. Carter was revealed to be the real one. The backlash afterwards was the source of Brock's resentment.

    • @Oceanman90
      @Oceanman90 Před 3 lety +6

      @@grifftastic2745 That always felt weird to me because if you look at it, a reporter learns that a mentally ill man attempted to kill JJJ and confessed to being a serial killer. He then writes these facts and gets them published only for spider-man to reveal that actually it was the schizophrenic next door who was doing the murders and this schizophrenic only almost did a murder. Upon learning this fact the journalistic community decides that he is the most inept reporter and he is utterly disgraced. All because he was very quick to report what no one without an an insane level of omniscience could possibly see as even a little bit suspicious.

      @@Oceanman90 Yeah but Brock was way dumber in that scenario. He basically blamed Spidey for just doing his damn job in catching a maniac as opposed to blaming that psycho Gregg. He even says "if you hadn't caught the real one, no one would've known that Gregg wasn't the Sin-eater and maybe Carter would've stopped his killing Spree knowing he got away scott free".
      Which is dumb on so many levels and makes his "Spider-Man is a villain who doesn't care about the innocent" even stupider than it already is.

    Huh. Weird. I was just thinking about Jean DeWolfe this morning and how she would be a cool addition to the movies and video games.

      She was also in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game. Well her voice anyway. She was of a side quest that involved police recordings and Dewolff was the voice in the recordings.

    Guys, great review as always. Not sure if you've heard of a book called Huck by Mark Millar & Rafael Albuquerque. I'm sure all of you would dig it & would make a great back issues.

    Question: Why didn't Peter's spider-sense go off when Mr. Popchic was getting beaten? He was literally feet away

      He wasn't in danger. Only like MJ or Aunt May in danger can set his sense off it they're close.

    The more I watch Back Issues the more I realized I missed when I read comics in this era. This was because I skipped all the Peter Parker portions and flipped to the pages with Spider-Man on them.
