"There are no words." That 9/11 issue from ASM is one of the saddest comics I've ever read because it portrayed it in such a real light.

Der_Benson honestly confused to why they picked doom, he's not American and tried to destroy New York multiple times. If anything doom would have used it to make Latveria look better. Magneto should have been chosen
Ike of Pyke I’m still baffled at that. Out of ALL the villains in Marvel, they chose Dr. fucking a Doom to cry over 9/11. That ruined the issue for me, tbh. It was such a silly ass moment in such a serious story.

My favorite part of the JMS run was when Uncle Ben turned out to be a massive badass by fighting Peter's bullies.
Doom weeping makes no sense, Kingpin doing it would have been spot on with some interpretations of the character.
I kind of see a way to interpret Doom's weeping: He may be a ruthless monarch, but even HE has reasons or things to gain from what he does. Maybe this made him feel sadness- to cause such destruction for nothing but to instill fear. Doom weeps
My preferred choice to replace Doctor Doom in that story would have been Frank Castle.

I really liked adult Peter that wasn't a photographer, but a teacher, lived on his own and acted more like an adult even with his own struggles in terms of his life.
I read this when I was 11 and I felt more of a connection with this Spiderman over Ultimate Spidey that was geared towards me as it was released, as much as JMS wrote arguably some of the worst arcs of Spiderman, I love Peter Parker in this run more than any other. He doesn't seem like he is struggling to make ends meet, he is on his way to becoming a functioning adult and not a 20 something that looks like he barely has shit together.
They killed Ben? Doesn't Sal have a Black Lantern ring? Dead doesn't mean dead at ComicPOP.
Sadly, Ben Todd was beaten to death with a crowbar by The Jawiin

Another HILARIOUS episode. Ben and Ethan ask ALL the right questions, like always. An sal sensei dropping knowledge again. After my crap day of work ComicPOP brought me to life again. This volume of JMS run has agreeably the best stories of his entire run.
So what you're saying is that all this time Aunt May was in the dark about Peter being Spiderman. But now he has ended that. So Spiderman ..... *Turned Off the Dark!*

No it exists but instead of them being married they were just dating seriously. So some of the emotional impact and maturity is taken away

To be fair, as I remember it, One More Day was forced on JMS by Quesada. I believe he quit shortly after because of it, after building their relationship over his run.
He was willing to write it, but he had this big timeline of how Peter and his world would develop since him and MJ didn't get married. But Quesada was like: "The fuck? No, no, no, no, no. It all HAPPENED (Except for the parts I wanted to retcon). But they were just super serious Boyfriend and Girlfriend the whole time."
That's when JMS was like: "Yeah no, I don't wanna be associated with this."
The part about being creative being linked to insecurity just made a large portion of my life make more sense than it did before watching this episode.
Quarantined & laid off from Chrysler for weeks now in Michigan waiting on my unemployment. Really needed this as a welcome entertaining distraction. Thanks you guys. 💯👊🏾❤

The best 'nuff said issue was in New X-Men when Grant Morrison made Jean Grey and White Queen dive into Professor X's psyche, and they're just sniping at each other in silence the entire time. It's great.

Probably the best story of Joe Stazynski's stories I've read so far, can't wait to pick it back up. I really enjoy the moments where Pete's doing his job as a teacher & helping his students, really brings out the everyman hero quality I love in Spidey. Why can't we have that again?

I would LOVE for Ed Helms to play Doctor Octopus whenever they bring him into the MCU. I feel that his role in the very under rated Ted Kennedy flick proved that he could play emotionally vulnerable characters and he seems like an all around nice dude which would make the origin more tragic. I feel that he'd also be age appropriate for being a mentor to Peter and a potential love interest for hot aunt may.
