    These videos just get better and better! Your music is always so nice, and most often apropos for the scene. Chris is SUCH a rockstar!!! Aaron too, taking care of the video to make it fun and engaging, the electrical and internet so you can share. I so enjoy watching these videos.
    Being a trucker, I can tell you what you went through is just a start. Nice to have a spotter, but I've been in situations where I had to back a 45' trailer, behind a conventional tractor with a sleeper (so no looking out the rear window for backing) through an entire condo complex in Wyoming because the guys I was delivering sod for told me I could get out the back of the complex. There was NO way out the back (I coulda killed 'em!) and then wouldn't guide me out. Cars and overhangs everywhere, no line-of-sight in the mirror; just the tiny bullet spots for blind corners. Spotters are golden. You are a great team.
    14 days of relaxation (minus defrag time and whatever planning time on leaving), and I hope you enjoy every second of it! Great video! Happy relax time!

    I love watching you two. I live in Hesperia so not far from Big Bear. I use to have to drive hwy 18 through Lucerne to Big Bear for work. When I seen you were taking that way, I thought your in for a white knuckle drive. Totally doable but those switchbacks and sometimes the other drivers on the road can really add to the stress. Once I was stuck there on the switchback for 1hr because a big rig couldn’t do the turn, Inch by inch and back and forth he finally got it. But worth the location and weather that’s for sure. Don’t know if I would want to do a bumper pull going that way. But I’m still new to rving and towing a trailer.

    My old trailer has Jalousie windows that crank open. Great for airflow, but a weak point for insulation. I have an exhaust fan in the bathroom to create a breeze if there isn’t one. Eventually I will put an AC unit on the other roof vent since a lot of places are getting too warm now.
    I like Walmart for veggies. I vaguely remember that they try to source from nearby instead of bringing them from the other side of the world and a lot of veggies are grown in California. Some farms are moving into Mexico if they can’t get labor into the US, but it’s still not too far away.

    @paulheindselman2014 Před rokem

    We have been pulling our 36' 5th wheel all over Idaho mountain roads and boondocking on BLM and forest service land for the last 4 years. Do yourself a favor and invest in some leveling wedges (Anderson are great but there are other cheaper options). Also the LevelMate Pro wireless sensor makes it much easier to see where you need to add blocks, etc. The auto-level systems are great but you do need to be pretty close to level before you set them loose or you will run out of jack length. I keep 8 4"x6", 4 8"x8" and several 2"x6" wood blocks in the trailer so I have lots of options for leveling.Also, on those dirt roads, keep it slow especially over dips and potholes as it is very easy to hit the bed rails on the under side of the trailer. If you are going slow it is less likely to cause any major damage.

  • @djpWilson
    @djpWilson Před rokem

    I didn't freeze frame your govee charts, but.... remember that humidity is actually a (complicated) ratio of air temperature and dew point. The higher the temp for the same dew point, the lower the humidity %. So if you leave your sensor outside, you'll almost always see the humidity rise overnight because the temp goes down quicker than the dew point (not always, and not quite that simple, but broad-brush, that's it). So, it makes sense that the humidity % is higher in the fridge than the rv. The fridge probably has the same air as the rv, just cooler. Clear as mud, right? ;)

    • @IreneIronTravels
      @IreneIronTravels  Před rokem +1

      Hello! Yes, definitely clear as mud! 🤣 I guess in simple terms, for us, our new fridge has a higher humidity ( 70’s vs 30’s avg), water dripping down the back wall and spoils our veg/food faster than our old fridge. More to come! 😊

    Hi kiddos! It’s Mark, Gail & Diesel Dog. Love following your travels! So proud of y’all, too!!! You’re doing fantastic with EVERYTHING! Give Louie & JuneBug hugs from DDog! Ps: Don’t know if you know but D has cancer 😢now. We’re just trying to make him happy and comfortable in the cool “hills” of Colorado this month. Hope to see y’all again somewhere! ❤ (Gail)

      Hey Gail! Thanks so much for the kind words and we loved meeting you and your family this spring. We hope D has a comfortable and happy journey into the next life. Our time is short… and precious. 🙏

    LOL! Really, you drive from Mesquite, Nv, and are about to enter a range with 11,000 foot peaks, and you are just now getting the "DV/Desert Vibe"... BTW, all the roads to Big Bear are horribly narrow and windy. We were once stuck in a road closure due to a single trailer semi getting wedged into a particularly tight turn...

    I always enjoy your travels and despite being a long time Outdoors RV fan and owner, it is great to see you with the new brand. I am curious if you considered one of ORV's 5th wheel models before deciding on the Alliance? Thanks for sharing your adventures!

    • @IreneIronTravels
      @IreneIronTravels  Před rokem +1

      Thanks! We love ORV's of course! But, there was only one ORV 5th wheel floor plan we liked... F27KVS. Our Alliance 295MK is the same length, but has bigger tanks, bigger windows, bigger storage, taller ceilings, lighter interior, 3800lbs more CCC, bigger 12volt fridge, 3 AC/s, No carpet, and just a better overall layout and feel for us.
