hi im planning to take BS IT specialized in technical services and management sa TSU… gusto ko po sana malaman aninng mga subjects or ung syllabus nilaa
Hi po sir, grade 11 student po ako ngayon kaso GAS ang strand na kinuha ko kasi wala pong ICT sa lugar namin. Okay lang po ba na mag IT ako kahit na wala akong alam about sa mga computer. At ano pong mai-rerecommend niyong aralin kong programming language habang wala pa po ako sa college?
Pede ka pa rin mag IT kahit GAS ang natapos mo. Maganda ang naiisip mo na habang wala ka pa sa college ay gusto mo na mag advance study sa programming language in preparation sa college. I suggest you start with basic programming using C, C++ or Java just to be familiarized the concepts in programming. Good luck sa studies. :-)

Since may background ka na sa Java, better mag start ka sa Java. Kapag naging familiar ka na sa isang programming language (PG), madali ka makakapag migrate from one PG to other PG dahil alam mo na ang buong concept na ginagamit sa programming. :-)
Depende yan sa school nyo. Ano ba language inaaral nyo? Kung ano gamit sa subject at school mo un ang i focus mo muna. Mag aral ka nalang ng ibang language pag graduate ka na or nag trabaho ka na. Madali lang naman mag transfer from language to language.
Pero wag ka mangolekta. Mag master ka lang ng isa. Nakapag Java, C++ at C# ka na. Yan ang aralin mo.
Pag panlahatan = Phyton
Game development = C#, C++
Web development = HTML, CSS, Javascript
Magandang base yang java, aralin mo lang ng aralin.

Hello po, gusto kumuha ng computer related course pero di talaga ako mahilig mag math and science anong strand po ang pwede kong kunin?. STEM or TVL-ICT(paki specific po like css, ccs or technical drafting) yung lang po kasi ang ino-offer ng school namin. Im considering STEM po kasi dahil mas priority siya ngayon sa mga college universities but meron ding part sa akin na gusto mag ICT under TVL track. Need advice po thank you ❤
Kung gusto mo talaga ng IT, Mag STEM ka. Di pa polished ang ICT sa atin. Saka kahit naman ano strand mo pde ka sa kahit anong major sa college.
Kung di ka mahilig sa math at science wag ka mag IT or STEM. Mag Humms ka or ABM. Ako di ako magaling sa math at science, ayaw ko din sa kanila pero nag IT ako at natuto ako. Sipagan at butihin mo lang mag aral gagaling ka din sa math at science. Ang STEM kasi puro science at math yan. Ang IT kailangan mo din ng math. Ung math naman sa IT madali lang basta aralin mo. Di naman sya Computer Science na puro math talaga. Sa IT puro Calculus (Pre at Basic), Linear Algebra, Discrete math at Combinatorics Theory. Di ko naman sila nagamit sa trabaho pero its nice knowing them.

Sir good day po! Thank you po sa tips niyo! Regarding tip #3, actually, we had an intership in our school as early as SHS. The one I chose (merely because it sounds cool hahaha) specializes in Robotics, Computer Vision, and Augmented Reality. I really liked the part where I get to analyze various data, image labeling, test the quality of different parameters, and a bit of programming too (arduino). Given these, should I take BSIT for college? or BSCS is a better choice? or maybe other courses that I don't know? hehe
Both BSCS and BSIT will surely fit to your interest. However, you need to determine first what career do you aim or want after you graduate so that you can choose easily between these courses since they have different purpose in the IT industry. I suggest you watch our videos about BSCS curriculum and BSIT curriculum to differentiate the two. We also have videos of other IT course that you might be interested. 🙂

IT ay hardware at software, CS ay pure coding, softwares at math heavy. Depende sayo yan. Parehong maganda, parehong versatile at parehong broad. Pero sa CS mas may pera at mas may success at mas mahirap. May mga schoolmates ako before na IT pero drop out ng CS lool. You can't go wrong with both.
Ung mga CS ay nakakapagtrabaho din sa IT Jobs. IT in CS jobs is rare pero nangyayari yan. Meron ding Information Systems (IS). Technology course din sya pero may Business Elements.

In my opinion, hindi ka mahihirapan since IT will be your second course. Ibig sabihin ay magstart ka naman sa basics kaya mapapagaralan mo lahat ang dapat mo malaman sa IT. If interested at gusto mo talaga ang course, maeenjoy mo yung course. :-)

Kahit wala akong kahit anong experience sa IT field at hindi rin naman related sa IT yung OJT ko?.. Oo nman. Pede ka mag apply pa din sa IT industry. Marami company ang nag aaccept ng mga fresh graduates at entry level(beginners) sa industry. May mga company nga n nagttrain muna ng mga employees. Wag mawalan ng pagasa. Try k lng ng try and keep learning.

Depende kung anong SHS strand ang natapos mo. Kung hindi align ang strand kaya wala masyado knowledge sa computer ay pede naman mag undergo ng bridging program para mabigyan ka ng foundation subjects ma kailangan para makatuloy sa computer course na itatake mo.
