Chris, this has to be the best economic discussion channel for Australian audiences one can listen to, and mr joye is spot on with he's modelling and predictions. I do like his (although high level) educational conversation, he just need to get into how he got to where he was thinking to make the allocations he did

Really enjoy when Joye is on. My views resonate more with Juddy’s point. People are so leveraged, that we will be so sensitive to rate hikes that it will kill demand and create a deflationary bust. The Fed Put occurs, rates go to zero again leading to stagflation. I have tried and failed at picking the top of the treasury bond market in the US and Aus but i think we are close, and closer to a recession then Joye is predicting.

"Can you imagine a 300 basis point increase in mortgage rates?" We won't need to imagine it if it becomes necessary for it to happen. If inflation gets severe enough, it's going to have to happen, woe betide anyone who didn't prepare accordingly.
