जलवायु विज्ञान वायुमंडल के भौतिक तथा गतिक प्रकृति का अध्ययन करने वाला एक विज्ञान है । यह एक अंतरानुनासिक विज्ञान है । जो प्राकृतिक तथा मानवीय विज्ञानों की सभी शाखाओं से संबंधित है । जलवायु विज्ञान एक अनुप्रयुक्त तथा व्यवहारिक विज्ञान है, जिसका प्रयोग कृषि, नियोजन, वानिकी, उड्डयन, परिवहन तथा उद्योग में किया जाता है ।
जलवायु परिवर्तन तथा पार्थिव उष्मन आज सभी से संबंधित है । यह विज्ञान आज मौसम दशाओं के नियमन तथा रूपांतरण का प्रयास कर रहा है आज दुनिया के सभी लोग मौसम पूर्वानुमान में रुचि रखते हैं ।
Climatology
Climatology is a science dealing with the physical and dynamic nature of atmosphere. It is an inter disciplinary Science related with all the branches of natural and human Sciences. Climatology is an applied and behavioural science used for Welfare of farming, planning, Forestry, aviation, transport, industry etc.
Climate change and global warming is concern of all today. science is making effort in regulating and modifying Weatne conditions. Today all people of word show interest in weather forecasting.

Sc physics ka student hu. Physics ko bahut ache se samgh pata hu. Is vajha se mughe nature ko samghna hamesa hi romaanchit sa lagta tha. Physics ka numerical slove karte time bahut garv fell karta tha. Lakin apko physical geography geomorphology climatology ke cheptar ko lecture ko dekh ke apka kayal ho gaya. Dhanyavaad sir app jaise vidvaan or gental person ko mera ak shisya ka charan sparsh. Vaise mughe apne intrest ki vajha se barc me scientific assistant ke taur pe kam karne ka mauka mila. Distribution of temperature across the latitudes over the surface of the earth is called its horizontal distribution.
On maps, the horizontal distribution of temperature is commonly shown by isotherms.
Isotherms are line connecting points that have an equal temperature.
The factors responsible for the uneven horizontal distribution of temperature are:
1. LATITUDE
In the previous article, we have studied that the angle of incidence of sun’s rays goes on decreasing from the equator towards the poles.
Higher the angle of incidence, higher is the temperature. Similarly, lower the angle of incidence, lower is the temperature.
This is why the temperature is higher near the tropical regions and decreases towards the poles.
2. ALTITUDE
As we all know, the temperature in the troposphere goes on decreasing with increase in height.
Temperature decreases at an average rate of nearly 6 degree Celsius per 1000 m altitude, which is known as Normal Lapse Rate
