It looks like a demo for a TMNT fan game. But man, aren't I glad to be blessed with TMNT 2003!
This gives me spiderman tnas vibes
Bro i was just about to the samething. The CGI Spiderman in the early 2000
My father was involved in the production of the original 3 moves in the late 80's early 90's. Makes me wish I had the same opportunity, as I always loved the Ninja Turtles of which has never changed. I really like how its still going strong.
Say whaaaaaaaat?
@@ReyGreyStudios yep, he even has a diamond studed Ninja Turtles pin he got as a thank you from Simon Fields. He's going to send it to me.
@@KensashMitsurugi that is pretty cool
I thought this looked pretty decent. For a 2001 pilot the animation looked very fluid. Compare that to BeastWars or any cgi show at the time. The humor and style of each turtle was there. Also Splinter sounds like 90s Splinter. This didnt look bad at all. If it got picked up and given more $ i bet it woulve been great.
Also splinter said students like in the 1987 show
I think I got it! They were trying to do what the 2003 series later became...but tried to do it as CGI at first. I'm willing to bet that the look, feel, story, content, and direction of the 2003 series was going to be in this one. I remember they had an interview for the 2007 film saying how highly they regarded CGI as a format to "bring the turtles to life," so my theory is that the creators utilized their CGI proclivity as early as 2001 to jumpstart the franchise via TV series. >>>IMA NERD
Doesn't look too bad but 2003 still did it a bit better
Looking at this, I can't help but see how this 2001 proposal fueled the 2003 incarnation we got.
I kind of like it outside of April and Shredder. I didn't like April's look nor her voice. As for Shredder I didn't like his color scheme. Besides that it looked pretty good for the time. That being said I'm still glad we got the 2003 version. Would of like this one more in comparison of either of the nickelodeon shows.
I think that was Keith David as the shredder
I am actually very intrigued by this. Obviously the designs needed to be a bit more refined (for the time), but this looks like it had the makings of a cool action show.
Seems like a product of the Early 2000s. CGI Wise.
This would’ve been interesting, but we got far better with the 2012 show. 🤘
Being a huge fan of the turtles i like the combat was great the realism of how the weapons hit is awesome the turtles them selfs ya can use alil touch up but overall good start keep the they been away storyline as of shredder was gone for some time so they had time to train april and themselves alot more and then by episode three shredder makes his return with the goal to kill splinter or something this is just my thoughts but awesome concept.
This show is something.. The graphics looks interesting to say the least..the turtles designs were actually attempted to make the classic looks. As for, shredder and the foot clan soldiers the shredder’s design makes me think of the original design of the older cartoon and those foot clan soldiers look like elite foot clan soldiers from the 2003 series but they look a bit different. My honest opinion overall, it looks a interesting and it makes me think of the donkey Kong series that used cgi for the models. It has its overall noticeable issues but, if they did fix them it would be interesting. Again, this is a old show I wouldn’t expect perfection I would probably watch it because I love Tmnt 2003. Lastly, sad to hear this show got cancel.
I love these early 2000s TV series this looks like a video game of the Ninja Turtles that will come out on the PlayStation 2 Xbox and GameCube
I thought the same thing. Like a cutscene from a game.
This has a very unique feel. I know I would have watched it once. I like Shredder's design. And the foots. Although if you look at the monitor again you can see a robot sitting there. I wonder if that could be Krang. Also I like April kicking butt. Casey reminds me more of the 80's Casey.
Mirage casey or 1987 casey
Looks good for 2001 in my eyes
Wow, a ton of these ideas were taken and reused in the 2003 series.
I can feel Laird's hand in this...
If this happened that means 2003 doesn’t so good thing it didn’t get picked up
The fight sequence tho where short loosk great better that. Most fighting scenes we had. On the released projects. I really digged it
Glad, that the we got a final product instead of 2001 CGI Turtle show. The 2001 CGI TMNT show looks like a video game to me
Not a fan of the style with CGI. But i am curious on the scripts and ideas thay had. How much did get over to the 2003-series? That would be fun to know.
rapheal: technical speakin, this things kickin our biscuits . 🤣🍕
Shredder lookin fancy smancy
Ok, the show looks like it would have been pretty interesting. These clips seem like they were early drafts that were made to sell the show and probably weren't the finished product.
The animation is definitely not very good even for 2001, like the physics seem very off in places, but the fighting looked very good and very well choreographed.
The Turtle's designs had promise, but seemed somewhat smushed in some places. Though they were better than some versions we've had in the past.
I do like the design of the Shredder in some ways, I think the color scheme might have worked if they had toned down some of the colors and replaced some of the gold with some chrome gray or silver coloring.
April and Casey looked a little strange, but since it was not the finished product they might have been planning to sharpen their designs a little.
Splinter honestly looked really good for what they had to work with.
The Foot Soldiers looked pretty cool, the tech look is a very interesting concept.
You can also see some concepts and ideas that they put into the 2003 show, like the truck, or the very obvious things the Turtles say like "What the shell" or "Let's get the shell out of here".
But I'm honestly glad this show didn't happen so we could get the amazingness that is the 2003 Turtles show!
Now if only money-hungry Nickelodeon would put the 2003 show's seasons out on DVD instead of their crappy overpriced 3-Episode DVD sets that even if you found them all you couldn't get the complete series.
So glad I have the entire 03' series downloaded
A lot of these clips can be found used In A lot of the early 2000s commercials for the toys
Wow didn't know that was even a thing
Their faces still look better than the designs from those trash ass Bay films. This would've been a bad ass show. Glad we got 2003, though.
I know i feel like anyone who liked those designs is kinda insane. I Mean Really Looking Back At it
The fight scenes are brilliant you can tell they focuses on the combat
Thank god we got the 2003 series instead!
@THE OLD TURTLE DEN - by Tonight's Top Movie Moment could you do a top ten scary moments in the tmnt series..?
For me one of the scariest characters when I was younger was shredder 2003 because of his overall design, voice, and laugh. His overall music, doesn’t make things better. However, that version of shredder made me like him because he’s supposed give people fear and he does just that perfectly.
You are so close to 50k man!
honestly, i would've like to see a turtles show like this one. But, with some touch ups.
This.....looks pretty cool! I'm ok with not getting this, but the concept looks cool. I actually like April's look and voice. It looks pretty fluid for early 2001, but creeps me out abit. Because of how unfinished it looks in certain areas, it kinda creeps me out.
I still think it's cool tho!
We may never know what could have been.
Never heard of but now I’d like to watch more of it if only...
No wonder there was no Ninja Turtles Shows in 2000, 2001, 2002. I wish that show did happen and I wish we could of got Ninja Turtles Figures of that Version also.
I’m glad we got the 2003 show instead
Honestly I would have liked to see this series shredder looks great and I didn’t noticed these ninja turtles have tails
I remember I saw it in early 2000s and I got really hyped about it!
From some of the designs, and the line "what the shell" I'm guess the quality of this show would have been close to the 2003 series, but the animation would have made it not last. I'd guess 2 seasons at the most.
If it came out I probably would have loved it, despite the animation.
Man this looked terrible. I'm so glad that we got the 2003 version instead of this horrible abomination.
I disagree. 2003 wasnt that great. Shredder was stupid and so was mikey. This looked ok for a 2001 pilot.
@tyrone kinard Oh, lighten up and pull the stick from so far inside your ass, would you? As if they'd be able to get away with all that blood and gore on broadcast television.
1. @11:23 never forget
2. How did Ralph get the motorcycle on the roof?
I would have love this show
That mo-cap was practically flawless for 2001!
This would have been great !!!!yes please TMNT!!!
This looks more like scenes in a ps2 game. I'm glad we got the 2003 series instead.
The animation actually looks pretty good it just needed to be polished up a bit...
I this would’ve been great for cut scenes in an early 2000 PlayStation game
I like the designs on the turtles
6:27 I'm reminded of Twisted Metal 3's opening cutscene.
Shredder here looks like a more well organized version of 1987 Shredder
I would watch it now! I would’ve watched it back then too. I love tmnt
I loved the designs!
Turtles' shell is bigger, limbs are shorter.
Shredder looks badass.
Those Foot soldiers too, the ones with the wide chinese hat even more.
April looking like a real person proportion-wise.
Casey looks like old Casey and that's good (except for the hair obviously).
Motion capture is spot-on.
Weapons sound effects too.
fith
Edit wow thanks guys for the one like thank you all for everything 😁
Um....What does fith mean?
What's the link to visit the old website?? I'm feeling nostalgic now. What is itttt???
he's using some sorta assist, like wayback..or whatever
@@Iron_Wolf_365 Wayback Machine.
@@Iron_Wolf_365 is that a website?
Nvm found it.
i think the cancelled 2001 show looks good. wish it got made.
They all look like their shoulders are squished in.
11:23 Twin Towers
You can see the pilot on youtube.
I wish they made the other cancelled 2001 show.
Hi can you make a video about characters exclusive from tmnt games like that ultrom mercenary slashur from tmnt 2 battle nexus for the ps2 or aska from tmnt touroment fighters or ultronminator from tmnt smash up and the tmnt 3 ps2 mutant nightmare bosses trigolem.archeloga.tostegaron and genochimera foot and from the tmnt 2003 game ps2 foot gunner ninja turtle robot 1.0/1.5 ver and giant mouser robot
*@THE OLD TURTLE DEN - by Tonight's Top Movie Moment*
Is that 4Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles website still online there???
That would be an Awesome Game!~
I wish they'd have done at least one season.
While I would join the others in saying "this looks pretty cool, but I'm glad we got the 2003 series instead," rewatching these clips for the first time in years it seems like it would have been similar. At least, in tone and characterization. I could envision something that would be very much like the cartoon we got, only with story beats playing out differently. The main difference is, I just don't see this or the WB cartoon pilot lasting nearly as long without 4Kids's involvement. I always felt the fact it was their ONLY major success outside of card game based anime series, and they let it run longer than in anyone else's hands. I mean, 5 seasons of a main series and 2 more sequel shows, where as the He-Man revival at the same time flopped because it was on a network that didn't really have a stake in it. Not to mention, no matter how primitive a CGI cartoon looked like compared to today, they were pretty expensive to produce, scaring off any network with its high budget. All things considered if a network picked this up, and if it was made, I'd be surprised if we got so much as 2 13 episode seasons at the most.
Looks rough but they didn't skip on the fight choreography.
I like the 22 year old tmnt pilot
Oh fuck that website brings back memories
Seen those clips some time ago .but nice to hear talk about it I would have watched it easily everything seems to be in check all the elements are there but we did get the animated series in stead and thats a fantastic version of them also the tmnt cgi movie came too so its all good
The animation may be a little dated but I feel like the show would of been good nevertheless
Would have*
I’m not trying to be a douche, but I hope y I appreciate learning the difference. There is no such thing as “would of” it’s “would have”
So now that you know you’ll be surprised when you catch yourself typing “of” and correcting it with “have”
Have a nice day
The voice actors are really good 👍
I wish this could have happen
maybe the cgi show was what the 2003 show was originally going to be
Would have been my third favorite tmnt show
Not sure if a cgi turtle show would have gone over well back then. Digging the music which was everywhere at the time
Overall good promotion I like what I See and has good movements always a gripe i have with cgi shows
actually looks pretty good
Cool 😎
This was a thing because this will be awesome
Seems like I would have liked it. The narrator sounds like the one from xena: warrior princess.
That looked really good. Shame it never was made. The action was really well choreographed.
I know for a fact I've seen these clips before. I just don't remember where or how, but I remember seeing them as a kid. It still looks pretty cool ta me just like it did way back when, even though the animation is really rough and dated.
The quality could have been alot better. I mean, look at Beast Machines circa 1999,2000. This just looks extremely clunky , even if it's a pilot.
Ahoyhoy There, Fellow CZcamsrinos! This reminds me of the Tak and the Power of JuJu video game.
Maybe if the style was 2d characters in 3d settings, the show would have looked more appealing
So, is it just me or is the voice of Splinter in this the same voice actor from the live action movies?
The turtle van is cool tho
11:33
Question: Do you like penicillin on your pizza?
I like these designs alot, actually. Yea it's pretty stiff and the physics are a little off but it still looks better than the weird choppy heads of the 2003 series. I also love how April is tough here. The colors are on point and it looks like a continuation of the original cartoon in a way that the 2003 and 2012 series do not.
Weird choppy heads of tmnt 2003 LMFAO and here you bother to mention so called not 1987 original when that cartoon disrespected the source material of the comics when tmnt 2003 was and any real tmnt fan knows was faithful to the source material of the comics.
Looks like a cutscene from a PS1 game
Can you please do a video on the 2003 series
The show actually looked pretty solid. The only weird thing was the animation which looks a little unfinished
Although the CG does show its age, still has better designs than the awful 2012 Nick version. Especially the recent "Rise of TMNT".
This looked like its was gona be good. Why scrap it. Somebody should roll with this make more episode and put it on disk or Netflix. I'll watch fo shur.
The animation was too stiff compared to the 2007 movie and the 2012 series. I liked the shredders look but his color scheme was too bright for a ninja in my opinion. I did not like the look of the turtles they looked liked the old geezer future turtles from the 87 series when they traveled to the future. I did like the foot soldiers design though they was the best designed character models out of the whole pilot in my opinion. The entire staff of voice acting was atrocious though that definitely needed to be done over, to be honest a lot of this pilot reminds me of 2003 series even with April learning ninjitsu, it appears to me that the 2003 series took a lot from this pilot.
It’s almost like it was made in 2001
The foot looks dom and shredder is not gold looking that’s dom
I'm actually relieved that they decided against this. The 2003 version we got instead remains (for me) the _definitive BEST_ iteration of The Turtles that we have gotten _to date._ The CG of this unreleased pilot is TERRIBLE. The "jokes" were both CRINGE and CORNY, and it reminded me of those cheap, late 90's early 00's CG cartoons the studios would crank out with NO REGARD for quality...because for some reason executives were of the idea that "as long as it was CG, it [would be] popular". 🙄
still better then rise of tmnt tho. anyday of the week.
this pilot cgi had potential. the humor was spot on. lmaoo.
I don't care about the awful rotoscope pilot. I think the scrapped stuff with the mirage based designs and clip of raph in the sewers evading mousers looks way more interesting.
The cgi makes me think about the movie Food Fight and I don’t like it 😬
