    Bjorn did a video like this. The nabari you get after time is amazing. Great work

    What a high quality video. Thanks also for answering the questions in the comments.
    I might have to use this technique because I have over 100 seeds in stratification right now and only 1 balcony. Can this technique also be done with conifers?
    Subscribed!

      Thank you for your kind words! Yes definately try this. 100 seedlings are a LOT! i have more than 1200 "Deshojo" so I'm doing many of these, plus forests. Definately works well with conifers as long as they are relatively young. It might take more time to fuse but success rate should be similar. Cheers!

    Nice work! What kind of mix did you use?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you! It's about 40% perlite, 30% zeolite 3-5mm and 30% topsoil from the forest (semi composted Abies needles, bark and cone parts) all aggricates with great percolation. Regards!

    Sweet video thanks. Thoughts on collecting maple seedlings from the wild before they form their first true leaves? Terrible idea or maybe just ok??

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  Před rokem +1

      Thank you! It's fine. More important is the amount of roots you will be able to collect and of course the after care. Nice organic but fast draining mix and keep them out of sunlight if the days start to get warm. A bright shade will be ideal for their first summer. Cheers!

    Do you remove the tie after a certain period of time?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes I do. It depends on how the trees grow and fuse together. It might take 2 years. But you can leave it on, if you bury it under a good amount of soil. The trees will fuse and produce new roots above the tie and probably a nice starting nebari. Cheers!

    Bonjour,
    Très belle vidéo, croyez-vous que les arbres vont fusionner et ne former qu'un seul tronc?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  Před 2 lety +1

      Merci! Très certainement. Dans deux ans, les troncs auront fusionné en un seul et la propagation des racines sera excellente !
