Jeff is such an awesome showman. Saw Possessed open up for Danzig like 10 years ago and it was fucking great. Honestly it’s pretty much the next best thing to ever being able to see Chuck live again for a Death Metal fan. I am so glad he is still doing it after all these years

It's not clear whether he's mislabelled them thrash but even if he has, my point is it's not the most inaccurate mistake to make considering half their material can reasonably be called thrash (like I said, their 2nd album is anything but pure death metal) Anyway lets not split hairs & agree Possessed is a crushing band - can't believe they're finally making a new album! \m/

Yes the mastermind of Possessed is Mike Torrao. Don't support this. Mike wrote almost everything even some lyrics. Larry just wrote "Tribulation" (although Brian Montana claims he did), "Phantasm", "Seance" and "Storm In My Mind" (on the EP's sleeve it says Torrao though) and some part of "Seven Churches" (song) ... everything else is Torrao's brainchild, and lyric-wise "The Exorcist", "Satan's Curse", "Twisted Minds" and part of "Swing Of The Axe". All hail to Torrao! Compare "The Seventh Sign" to "Shadow Cult" and you will hear who is the mastermind ...

It just sounds dated, forced and guitar-wise too polished. I get it that newer fans or people that just go for a name like it but if you are deep into their sound you can't appreciate that. Regards!

Great video. I saw Possessed twice when they were on Barge to Hell and they were by far the best band on the boat. They were the only band where some of the crew took time off to watch.
Possessed fn kills.. they have one of the most unique sounds ever.. they also helped pave the way for alot of thrash metal bands out there.. and death metal bands imo.. they've been in the game for a long ass time.. so I have to give them mad respect and give them the props they deserve man.. and much respect to jeff.. he's a beast.. not many dudes would get up in front of thousands of ppl and do what he does being in a wheelchair.. not to mention he does it very well.. one of the best imo.. just killin it.. great video.. thanks for sharing it.. I have the great honor to see them live almost a year ago in Thessaloniki Greece! Amazing performance, all the band was shocked from the passion and our screams in their songs! Jeff was very proud for knowing all the lyrics and he promised to do anything to be back in Greece as soon as possible when they will release their new album!

Wonderful, WONDERFUL to see and hear Possessed do this album...I bought the tape when it came out, loved the phrasing of Confessed, read in the liner notes that Joe Satriani helped produced this album....loved Confessed just a lil' bit more. Damn, this one takes me right back to 87' and 88'......wow. STILL have the Seven Churches CD in my car.....STILL.

Wonderful, WONDERFUL to see and hear Possessed do this album...I bought the tape when it came out, loved the phrasing of Confessed, read in the liner notes that Joe Satriani helped produced this album....loved Confessed just a lil' bit more. Damn, this one takes me right back to 87' and 88'......wow. STILL have the Seven Churches CD in my car.....STILL.
I bought it in '85 on cassette...I still play Seven Churches to this day!

Possessed was doing their thing way back in the early 80,s i remember listening to possessed,slayer,mercyful fate,destruction,and too many great bands to write.they are a very important part of extreme metal history.if you never heard them then you are not true to metal.no offense.metal lou csanko
For me at 1984.......only Celtic Frost was more heaviest and raw than Possessed, a greatest band of Death Metal.......
