- I finally "boxed" my Sandy 2600K for this new Skylake 6700K and Gigabyte Z170-UD5. After several benchmarks I can say that Skylake is 40-50% faster than Sandy in many respects. Also the wonderful thing about the Z170 chipset is the 20+ PCIe lanes. I was terribly bottlenecked by Sandy with my GTX 780's in SLI. Now they are "free" and running considerably faster.
