Expeditions need to offer more than just repeatable missions. They need to have explorable environments.
It needs to be on par with what ESO has. I'd also like the locations to be able to have CAMP placement so there's more to it than a linear mission. The Pitt sucked in this regard.
The current 2 "The Pitt" map expansions are already explorable without time limit, and there is hidden lore to be found. The game saves on checkpoints and you can pause and continue at a later time if you decide to follow the mission objectives. I think repeatable challenging missions are what is needed as the game has not much endgame content. More expeditions will give players the choice to pick from more than the current 2 "raids" so it doesnt get boring too quickly.
It appears that is what they are doing with this one. Expeditions are a way to "get off" the main map. They are removing the requirements to start one. Now you can simply go whenever you want. From the video, it appears there is a working casino with NPCs along with a mission you can do. How much to explore and story included is undetermined though.

This is an expedition? All my excitement was just lost.... why don't they add more world space to explore like they did with the other Fallouts or how Elder Scrolls Online adds new lands to explore, expeditions are so boring! Maybe they have been putting all their resources and time into Starfield is my guess.

I really like the vault boy animations. Although I am personally not the biggest fan of Fallout 76, I loved this.
Same here because it’s a bit laggy and keeps cutting off when you lose internet connection my favorite is fallout 3 in the series my favorite protagonist is the lone wanderer who’s yours? And favorite U.S state and wasteland that the games take place in?

Vault Boy’s character development is just awesome. You can disagree all you want, his S.P.E.C.I.A.L. are at maximum and he will find where you live!
Always loved these kind of trailers. Really puts a shine on that Vault Dweller spirit in the game.
Looks good, nice change of scenery. Can't wait to see what kind of weapons and armor we get out of it. Maybe the laser RCW will make a return? Would be nice.

That would fit in perfectly since there’s most likely going to be a mafia involved in the new story, and since the Laser RCW is a Tommy gun that shoots lasers it’s a great fit

I wish we could build camps there and just have it be an open world map. I miss the days of past fallouts and their dlc locations, it was like having a brand new game everytime.
My favorites were always in New Vegas.
Honest Hearts: A western style, similar to the base game, but with a completely different story and a satisfying end.
Old World Blues: A sci-fi adventure about discovering the truth behind a deranged killer
Lonesome Road: A story of revenge or forgiveness, while setting up the compelling backstory behind the first non-vault dweller main character in the series
Finally, Dead Money: A clever mix of heist movies and horror movies, a compelling story all about letting go and helping others let go as well.
That game, along with the DLCs, was a masterpiece

I LOVED all the fallout games and played them with pure wonder ,intrigue and astonishment .Bethesda’s patented state of the art world building makes it such an incredible experience . It pained me to hear the online experience of 76 was not as optimal in the beginning bcuz in my heart I wanted it to succeed . But lately ,I’ve been thinking of making the journey to fallout 76 for the first time . Coming from a super dedicated destiny 2 player, THIS feels more like home
Do it! I got the game on release and yeah, it kinda sucked, but now it’s my second favorite Fallout game. I’ve never seen a game improve so much
I finally got it for PS4 years after it came out since I originally lived in a place with awful internet. I. Am. LOVING it. Great atmosphere and story
And with the frames at a nice buttery smooth 10 fps, I’ve never been more satisfied!

I think fallout 76 a great game no matter what anyone says, I especially love all of these 1950s animations, I think they’re really cool.
honestly, i wish they could of made a fallout cartoon series in this style. i'm sure the new t.v show will deliver, but a dark comedy action toon in this style would be god tier.
Now I wish we had something like that instead.

As somone who played this game for 3 years I can say the game had changed a lot from when it started if you haven't played this game or you use to in the past give it a chance again and I promise you won't regret it because I think I have had lots of fun with my friends(Play with friends before playing).👍

Despite a horrendously horrible launch, I must say I’m happy Fallout 76 is running more smoothly and is getting content after content updates to give it more girth. Kinda wish Anthem and Battlefield 2042 would but I guess it was not to be.

I love these animations. One of my favorite tropes in fiction is when they show us what kind of media is produced for the people living here.

76 got alot of shit when it first game out but its scrubs up pretty well as a fun fallout game with plenty to do. Love that it gets regular updates too, I just hope the Atlantic city dlc is a proper map to explore. I'd happily pay for a dlc like that but aslong as it a traditional fallout dlc style add on

It's aight... it needs actual content. For long time players like myself it's just a f'ing chore bored grind for cosmetics and housing items. It's as wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle.

I really don't expect to see a roadmap at all going forward. I imagine the best we'll get going forward is a once a season calendar with like 80% repeat stuff and announcement of the next season or a new event/expedition.

Mind you the game dousnt really function on windows 11 to boot, due to its age. They ought to Remaster it, fixing that gap all together.

@@tumtumhero1436 This was my idea. Im sure there will be repeatable missions in that location, and maybe they'll count as an expedition, but I think ull be able to freely explore the place. Thats what it looks like 2 me.

The only people who say fallout 76 is a terrible game are those who play 30m of it and quit. Or those that listened to everyone else. I've played fallout 76 for 5 years now have thousands of hours in. It's been a great experience. From making life long friends to the true grind of collecting items. It's improved over time as well. Don't always listen to everyone else.

I’ve played a fair bit of 76 im level 300, but even I can say it’s not a good fallout game in terms of story or atmosphere for me, or the general feel of wasteland, I do like it for other reasons

Please Bethesda, add Cape May! Exit 0, 30 minute drive from Atlantic City. There's a TON of stuff there to pick to add in, the sunken cement ship from WW1, the Cape May zoo, the Cape May lighthouse....I mean there's a TON of things you can make for an expansion to Atlantic city, it could be the southern most part of the expansion and you can do SOOOOOO much stuff with it... please put a Fallout fan (with a half sleeve tattoo on my leg)(s) yearly vacation spot in Fallout 76!

There is lots of fair criticism that can be leveled at the Fallout games. But its hard to deny the charm of these Vault-Tec format videos.
I'm still slowly trying to get the auto axe, but hitting up a casino sounds fun. I did take a break when they added nukaworld on tour cause i wasnt aware that where it was placed was where i had my main camp at so now thats gone

I still want a robot companion that can fight enemys with me like an assaultron or mr gutsy or even a sentry bot, heck I'd take a robobrain with two miniguns, I offten find myself geting into tough situations and struggling to get through sometimes without help, I want to experience the game at my own pace without someone else messing something up for me, thats why go alone, but there are times were I need combat support, having a robot companion like we had in fallout 4 would definitely help people like me
