I recently started playing the very first Fallout game. At the first settlement I found I stole 20 bucks from a guy and immediately the whole town knew my location and started trying to kill me and that's how I got my first game over.
Probably the best videogame adaptation into television ever. The team stuck well with lore and didn't rush it at all. It felt like fallout. Thank you!

They shot this whole series on film, which makes sense when you remember it's Jonathan Nolan and that he also shot Westworld on celluloid.

The most promising thing about this to me is that it is not an adaptation, it's an original story set within the game's universe.
Which is always better than adapting the same story.
Its also how I hope they do the Warhammer 40k series, I dont want them to fail to adapt a story when the setting is the real star of the series.

I started watching this while my wife was sitting near me reading. She'd glance at it every couple of minutes, then she heard the little girl talk about bombs. She asks, "what bombs are they talking about?" I replied, "just watch".
We both watched the series in 2 days.
My wife rolled her eyes when I suggested it. Next thing you know she watched the whole series without me while I was at work the next day.

This is the right way to make game adaptations. The characters are engaging, and Amazon Prime earns respect unlike Netflix. Netflix - Henry Cavill as Witcher and Freya Allan as Ciri were great. So cooperating with Bethesda was and still is the wisest decision.
Best videogame adaptation. Every line was perfectly delivered, and the universe was respected to its very minor details. Amazing work.

I just watched the maze runner trilogy last week for the first time,had no idea goggins was in it. He looked like a ghoul in that movie,and I had no idea it was ever a thing. Edit: keyword is every-time, which isn’t the case. not every door is a loading screen. Loading screens only happen when you go into new areas. You can go thru many doors in all the games without there being loading screens. Y’all seem to have forgotten that or don’t play the games very much.

Im a Jet + Mentats fan. In EVERY run of ANY Fallout.
If the main character is not changing armor sets every 5 seconds, looting everything that can be seen, spending hours at crafting stations choosing what to spend their 4 screws on, romancing every single living thing in the wasteland, injecting every single chem known to man in their veins at once, saying they want to "trade" with someone and end up taking everything from their pocket, and having a 3 minute montage of a crafting sequence only to realize they are short on one spring, then they are not main charactering correctly.
I need to see the main character grab to much shit and have to ditch it in order to run away from something
Not to mention carrying around a backpack full of desk fans, military grade duct tape, wonderglue alongside a garbage bag full of bottlecaps
That's only F4... though rampant cannibalism of F3 and NV and dozen other things aren't going to make it better😅

The 1st episode was fantastic, great music and atmosphere. They got the tonal balance perfect between the quirky humor and taking the world seriously. If only Capcom cared about their live action adaptations and we could get a faithfull Resident Evil series like this.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the brotherhood is the only faction concerned with "saving" the world. NCR is driven by greed. Mr. House is driven by the image of pre-war America.

It’s actually very interesting and entertaining.
One of the best shows I’ve seen in awhile, and it actually stays pretty true to the game.
Even lore dorks should be happy, but we all know they’ll always find something to complain about.

I would also picture it well at the end of the season where the initially naive and optimistic protagonist has been through such an ordeal that she is deeply changed. She either comes out of a Pyrrhic victory or inadvertently causes a chain reaction that has terrible consequences and sets up even more tragedy for season 2, all in spite of her best intentions.

And the show was actually MASTERPIECE !, poor people to them that have bad feelings to every adaptaion from games having no hope in someone's work they haven't seen at all..
What's wild is that Ella Purnell was in Arcane and Fallout which are 2 of the best video game adaptations and if she looked a little younger she would have been an amazing Ellie in TLOU as well. She looks more like video game Ellie then Bella Ramsey. Bella did an amazing job too though.
