I’ve been watching Weylie for so long that when life feels rushed and sad I watch her to feel balanced and peaceful. I’ve also noticed y’alls physical appearance change. Y’all are full on adults and are aging so beautifully! Wah is looking more masculine and wise. Weylie is looking more beautiful and timeless. I don’t know if CZcams is going to be around for forever but I hope y’all grow old together and always fine peace and love in each other. Bless y’all for giving me a piece of peace for today ❤️

re: callie (sp?), please do bring her in to a shelter/vet if you can! getting her spayed as well as checked for any rabies/viruses/feline HIV is a great first step in ensuring her safety. she definitely seems ready for a furrever home, if the way she's been curious about going into your house is of any indication. she seems to already have enough of your trust to want your pets, hang around you for an extended period of time, and even groom around you, so getting her into a carrier and to a vet should be pretty easy! i hope you are able to find a home for her c: it always breaks my heart to see strays...

Yes! The quick questions part was the highlight of this vlog. Always love when Wah talks about his life in Venezuela. I bet you guys would love to go to La Gran Sabana. It´s such an unique place and experience.
I have a feral cat rescue so i’m not a true expert on stray cats BUT if you were to eventually start like bringing a carrier out and sitting with her (while leaving the carrier open), she may start to go inside and get comfortable with it so you can transport her to the vet! Also treats help, but you’re about being minimal cause you don’t want anything to happen. But she seems so friendly and gentle, so I think slowly making her more comfortable with carrier will help to then transfer her to a vet and shelter! Good luck guys!☺️
The kitty may be an outdoor cat, meaning it belongs to someone (and usually sleeps at night at home) but is allowed out to roam for large parts of the day.
I know where I live, in the Bay Area, owners are really good about putting collars on outdoor cats and spaying/neutering so not sure that is the case in LA :(
I was thinking the same. My boss has 4 cats and he lets them out regularly and they usually all come home every night. On occasion they wander for a few days but they always come back home.
This cat looks fine and living it's best life as an outdoor cat. Why would you want to take it in so to be locked up? It's not hurt so 🤷♀️ it's visiting you cuz of food... and like you said, it's been the neighborhood cat 🐈 not a cat needibg to be 'rescued'

For the kitty! I have too much cat experience lol. First make sure she is not someone’s cat. Put up signs around the neighborhood and see if you get anymore info. Then after a few days or a week or so, catch her (she seems friendly enough to just put in a kennel). Call ahead and bring her to the local no kill shelter, bc the protocol for strays is different in every city. Then that’s it! She will be spayed and adopted by someone who can really take care of her inside (bc coyotes are a no no). I actually did this exact thing but I ended up going back and adopting the kitty and now Kiki the kitty living her best life with me

For Callie, you can take her to the vet and check if she is chipped. That can tell you if she has an owner. Not all cat owners get their cats chipped but this could help. Because she looks healthy and is friendly towards human, she could possibly just be an outdoor cat and is allowed to roam free by her owner. You never know for sure though so I would suggest posting on nextdoor/fliers to find out if she has an owner. After doing what you can to see if she has an owner, check if she’s spayed and if not, spaying her will help keep the feral cat population down and will prevent her from getting UTIs, etc. The recovery time for that type of surgery is 10-14 days and preferably during this time, she should be kept indoors so that she doesn’t do anything strenuous that could cause her stitches to go loose. It also doesn’t hurt to get her vaccinated to protect her from the dangers of the outdoors as she can get diseases if she comes across another cat, fox, coyote that has rabies, etc. There would be no adverse effects if you find out later that she was already vaccinated. After that, it’s up to you to keep her, release her back into your neighborhood, find someone to adopt her or drop her off at a rescue. Best of luck to Callie!

My boyfriend’s parents have had their leather couches for like 3 or 4 decades now. They still have them because of their dog and he lays all over them and they look really good still. They’re very well loved leather sectionals

I know you already are but please please please be outside with the dogs at all times. The coyote (and wildlife) population in our local streets has exploded due to the fires driving them from the hills. There were already a lot of coyotes in SGV before the fires though. I’ve heard countless stories of people losing their pets to coyotes, but honestly it didn’t hit home until someone I personally knew had their mid-size dog attacked in their backyard. He had been going pee and poop by himself in that yard for over ten years and there were never any issues. He died after the attack and it was a devastating loss for the fam. Please be super vigilant!

OMG! We have a calico that we named Callie, we've had her for years and she was originally an outside cat. She is such a sweetheart and an amazing inside cat. They are such good cats and she looks like such a sweet girl!

I don't live in LA so i'm not too sure about how things are like there but I'd say definitely check if Cali is microchipped first cause she may just be an outdoor cat! She looks fairly well fed and her coat looks nicely kept so it's definitely a possibility. Outdoor cats are also usually quite well socialized as well! Just wanted to give a heads up cause the last thing you want to do is take her away and her owner's are waiting for her to come home during feeding time :) But if she does turn out to be a stray, thank you for taking care of her!
Although I think it’s important that feral cats and stray cats are kept indoors, I live by your area Weylie and there’s cats that roam around but they’re not stray cats. I’d like to keep my cats inside, but I still live with my family and my parents let some of my cats wander around. I would advise, just as a cat owner and as a cat owner who lives in the same neighborhood, that you don’t bring the cat in to a shelter where she could get adopted by someone else. Some people just let their cats roam around and sometimes the cat travels up to 5 miles (at least that’s what I researched and found on Google) so that cat could very much have an owner who doesn’t live on the same block as you.

Some advice is to avoid animal control and shelters that are high-kill and/or are already packed. Best way is to reach out to rescue groups that will foster and aid in adoption. Hope this helps!

I feel bad for Cali being outside especially there was a coyote in your location. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs and they are all indoors. I am paranoid with them being outside and they are always supervised if they go outside in the backyard. I saw in your later videos that Wah has been feeding Cali. I am happy he did. Imagine being hungry, and I can't deal with strays being hungry, I wish I can save all of them.

My neighborhood has a calico that rotates between my house and my across the street neighbor - shes been here for years and she's the sweetest ❤️ she's spayed and gets fed by me/the neighbors and is happy.
In my opinion, as someone who has owned cats in the past, and worked at a vet clinic for 2 years, stray cats can be adoptable for sure, but if she's been outside for that long she most likely has a territory established, and if she is comfortable where she's at, the best thing to do is spay her and let her be. If you're bent of adoption, try to see if she likes being indoors first and how she reacts to it. Plus if she's been in your area that long, it'll be totally new to her to be adopted into a household and also with different people. Just my thoughts ofc, not an expert...
I also follow The Kitten Lady on social media - she's an expert on stray/feral/shelter felines and she has CZcams videos/social media posts/a book on these topics.
