DIY Height Adjustable Modern Cot with Built in Storage

After buy a second hand cot and finding out that it was actually in pretty poor condition, I decided to make a custom cot for our nursery renovation. I made the cot from 18mm MDF and it is finished in black to match the nursery.

Nice job! But you really need to go back to barrel nuts for attaching the ends, much stronger and will survive being disassembled and reassembled many times.

Thanks Charles. It was my original plan but I was worried about weakening the MDF by drilling into it. It seems pretty strong but I may revisit it, if it looks like an issue. It shouldn’t be disassembled too many times, just lifting it to the higher position then dropping it back down when the baby is bigger. It will probably be converted into a toddler bed after that.
