Not worth it -- even the 'fast' trains in the U.S. are slow in comparison with most in Europe.

Are the locomotive engines running at max even when stopped? Can’t hear them getting relaxed or getting quieter as the train slows down.

Yes, the F40s Metra have are locked to N8 as they need a constant 900rpm for HEP
