Traction Action at the Illinois Railway Museum

Come and take a ride on some vintage Illinois Terminal traction equipment that has been brought out for the 37th annual Illinois Traction Society meet at the IRM. We get to see equipment that does not come out very often! From the most modern piece of IT equipment to the vintage electric box cab fright motor, we get to view the past like nothing you have ever seen and go for a ride on what a classic interurban was like in the 1940s & 50s!

There's a trolley event and usually during the 4th of July events there's a trolley parade where all the electric stuff comes out

They should be bringing it out a couple of times this year. Mostly it would be in the electric parade that they often hoast in July

Those orange Illinois Terminal interurban cars are beautiful. 19:45 But, what caught my attention was the Illinois Terminal green "compact beauty" #1565. 12:15. I am currently trying to get an HO scale brass version of it from E. Suydam and Company. Pre-owned of course. I've been trying for years, as a matter of fact. I'm NOT ever going to give up. 😊 I enjoyed watching your video...wonderful cinematography. By the way, It's good to see you again, I've noticed you've been "MIA" for a while.
