Eighty miles of prime two foot gauge railway in ten hours with eight steam locos involved. - Wyth deg milltir o brif reilffordd dwy droedfedd mewn deg awr gydag wyth locos stêm dan sylw.
Three double engines in fine fettle. A rare treat to be sure. Last time I saw that, one of 'em was green. 🙂 I doubt those two lovely visiting Decaulville locos have done runs that long in preservation. Did either benefit from a sprinkling of Blodge's finest fairy dust over the weekend?

The two visiting engines went on what looked like a jolly with no revenue-paying passengers? It was not long ago the cost of coal was a major concern to the railway. However, it made a great video.
@@FfestiniogWelshHighland What about the MD's request for funds due to the difficult economic situation at the railway post-COVID and the high price of coal? Other railways are also running freight demonstrators when every passenger is vital.....it does not make sense.
@@markfinney4157 Maybe the coal was paid for privately? Maybe someone chartered it further up the line for photographs? Maybe it needed testing after maintenance with out passengers? Maybe all is not what it seems? Maybe we shouldn't rush to judge a book by it's cover? Just Maybe. Possibly.

You're have a quiet unique collection of steam locomotives. Greatings from Brandenburg in Germany.
Perfect weather and lighting. New camera positions. Excellent photography and editing. Muzak kept to a minimum. What a superb video!
The locomotives made the music!
Great video again, very best regards to the excellent camera people 🎉 Ray
Thank you Ray! It was a monumental team effort with a lot of leap-frogging to keep ahead of the train. More difficult than it looks here! 😀😀
We had the best weekend. Fantastic organistion, scenery and welcome from all involved. Many thanks to everyone who made it possible. Special!
Ein Super Film von einer tollen Strecke mit wunderschönen Lokomotiven! Danke!
Dankeschöen

It's fun watching them do the 0-4-0 dance, as Hyce calls it :P

The leading loco looks like an Emmett creation.
Is there a reason there's only 360p format available for playback?
It will be in 4k when it finished processing which is taking a very long time.
@@FfestiniogWelshHighland Thanks for the info, totally forgot about that!

Usually we wouldn't release it until it was finished 'cooking' but CZcams said it was ready and then changed their minds. All good now though.
Breathtaking. A credit to all involved filming such a treat.
Very cute narrow gauge railway !

Sometimes the value of the trip isn’t in the fare paid.
