Most people think that when it comes to mass gaining, your just going to eat anything you can to gain body fat with muscle because that's the way to maximize muscle mass gains. Research now shows that that's no longer the case. In fact, the leaner you are the higher your muscle protein synthesis. While gaining mass you want to stay as lean as possible. Follow along as Jim Stoppani, Ph.D. teaches you the 3 steps to do that.

you transformed successfully 2:28 video in 8 words
Vasile Enache I mean I’ve seen other comments like this with lists with longer videos so I figured I would try it out.
Thanks man
Full body training definitely will help
What’s card cycling?
Since when did Professor Charles Xavier become a bodybuilder?
Hahahahahaha 😂
That's jean talking to you!!!!😂
Wolverine
Hahaha 😂😂

I was pretty successful with my last bulk but didn't stay as lean as I would have liked. I've never tried carb cycling before so definitely going to look into it more. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so Much for the wonderful and short video Sir
Short and informative, Thanks!

Sounds legit
Fax
He has a doctorate in Human Physiology and Biochemistry. He is a doctor who cares about his body AND his mind. Unlike your run-of-the-mill gp.
Everything he said was legit, except for the full body thing...more of a preference.
Big thank you so much
*THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION*
I needed this information! Thanks! 😊
Hey
Yeah babe me too 😀
Great video
Great Work
Thanks it`s good to know , and to be reminded what to do when getting restarted weight lifting .
Thanks alot sir!!
Before 40 years he used to look like Chris Heria.
Now what’s his age ?
Its 95
Just kidding
Chris Heria grew up to be Jim 😂
Okay
LMAO
Thank you Sir
Good advice!
Loved this😙
He seems like the real deal I’m a ectomorph I weigh 162 and I’m 5”10 but I’m lean and muscular I’m trying to get up to 178 but I’m struggling now I don’t have to bulk. To gain some pounds thanks for this video 💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks Sir
Short Vid but so informative
Love it💗💗💗
شكرا على معلومااات
Great job bro. If i may ask what is your tattoo type like whats it called for some reason the hints of green / red / light black make it look more shredded and leaner even tho tattoos usually have a tendency to destroy definition / tone looks.
good luck with your journey!!
Highly knowledgeable guy.....
This guys like a tougher sounding Joe Rogan.
This guy is so professional, he deosn´t even skip teeth day :D
This is the most underrated review on CZcams!
Love your videos!! Keep going ❤️ we gonna make it someday bro. We gotta collab
He's completely natural and looks amazing, what a legend
Not easy incorporating more positive gains through training yet he accomplished to lay out a plan for me😁
What should you do on rest days?
highly recommended ;
I currently do full-body strength training 3 days a week and do cardio 2 days a week. Should I carb load on the days I run or the days I lift?
This is how I would carb load. Do it the day before and the day of leading up to your weight training. That way your glycogen stores will fill up and give you better workouts. Waiting til the day will leave you with less gas in the tank on those weight training days. I hope that helps 💪
0:51 another alternative is to get a heavy ball lift it and throw it around. Works every part and can be fun but it is quite exhausting

I only believe in Agoge diet. They provide you with personalized meal plan, workout plan, fitness tips, healthy recipes. Thats everything you need to transform your body and get six pack :D
hmmm... seems good, let's see if it works
good luck with your journey!!
Got my plan, looks good ?
seeing other people take action and have good results motivates me as well

i train a little bit of everything everyday. is that okay? i try to push intensity
Number 2 and 3 are kinda obvious but number 1 doesn't make sense as he says most mass gaining programs follow a split type of system and then he basically does the same thing but a very bad system if I ever saw one. If I were to make a schedule I would do Monday: Chest & triceps, Tuesday: Back and biceps, Wednesday: Shoulder & triceps, Thursday: Legs & biceps, and then with every single workout at the end you do your abs with some cardio to top it off (no cardio on legday). Then you just cycle this schedule and take a rest day in-between whenever you feel is the best for you. I prefer one day rest after one cycle. Keep in mind that the days change depending on when you take your rest days but that doesn't change your training schedule, so your Monday schedule could shift a day and become your Tuesday schedule but you just keep going.
I know this comment is old but unless your on gear, you'd be over training tf out of your arms with this routine. You'd be hitting arms atleast 3 times a week and if you take into consideration you're indirectly training your triceps on your shoulder days, you'd be training triceps 4-5 times a week.
Agree
Hii sir , u r knowledge is amazing & i have a question for u . how much muscles mass i can increase in three months from natural way and i m a pure ectomorph please reply me i will wait for the answer ?
bro u can gain amazing muscle but inorder to get jacked u need to workout for 1 year and then u will be set
Question?what do you do on the low carb day..cut calories or do you replace the carb calories with other macro nutrients?
You can replace them with protein to help the body to recover and build muscle in those rest days
What's the music the back ? It's fucking sick
3 days week program laga rahay hai
Kya theek hai sir
0:53 I have a question about this. For some context, some people say that this kind of routine (infamously known as a bro-split routine) is not as efficient as routines that have you work out the same muscle groups twice a week instead of just once (Examples: PPL-PPL, UPPER-LOWER-PPL, etc.).
My question is: is there a right answer here? I am going back to the gym soon (gyms are reopening soon in my area) and I would like to know more about this.
The answer is just do. What works for you. The more effort you put in the bigger the results.
Full body that split into 5 workouts isn’t it a split anyways ????? I’m confused
Roi Rabinek It's a full body workout, with certain muscles focused each day. So youll do a full body workout, but just with a couple more exercises on a certain muscle
hejafck they don’t specify the workout tho guess they want us to pay haha
@@RBNK157 Well of course.. But its prob just another standard full-body program, with primarily compound movements and some accessory exercises.. I watch Jeff Nippards videos on full body. The best in the business imo
Shows idea at .56 sec
What worked for me the best: Monday-Friday training(these days low carb) weekend off and high carb. Each day push-pull and at least 25m cardio following the weight lifting. Plenty of water, good sleep train hard!
High . I have uric acid issue. How can I get lean and shape my body . I am 93 kg plz do help
I used Agoge too, it's a great meal plan, takes out all the boring out of dieting
I’ve done that today
Shall I have my mass gainer on a rest day or stick to regular protein shakes for those days?
Commenting because I wanna know the answer as well
1:53 wait a minute, I weigh 76Kgs approx.167.5 pounds, that means I have to consume 251 grams of protein per day isn't that a bit too much considering other macronutrients
Hello Sir / or any viewers here,
1.5g of protein per pound of body weight is how much per kg? I'm 60kg and 5.8 ft. tall.
Thank you.
I wonder if Jim’s back is hurting from carrying my quarantine???
So since I am 6’3 170 lbs, how many carbs do I take on my lifting days and off days?
Dude at 6,3 you shoild not weigh that less i m 5, 7 and Wright 155 it shoild be 7 gram per i inch så u sholld be at least 210
Lmao Im 6'2 162 lbs so I feel it
Protein: if i weigh 180 pounds
I'll take 1,5 grams of proteine per pound bodyweight.
So thats 1,5 x 180 = 270 grams of proteine a day?
Or per meal?
Per day, you would have some knarly trips to the bathroom if you were eating 270g of protein every meal
This guy looks like his neck, arms and hands got attacked by a 6th grader´s notebook...
Hey guys, I'm a CPT. Reading some of your comments about his recommendation of 1.5G of protein per pound of bodyweight. It's absolutely not necessary. Aim for. 6-.8 of protein per lean body mass! Over consumption of protein will convert it into glucose anyways.
I also heard an excessive amount of protein intake can damage the kidneys. Just wondering, what's a CPT ?
what about cardio?
I eat dig food in a can over and over... I got very lean and shredded while getting bigger every year for last last 10 plus years.... This is the way
I want his voice
Is this deadass? Anybody confirm?
Fax get to under 5% and maintain under 5% n gain a shit ton of muscle
He's so lean now

Is it zym stoopani ?
We need Greg Doucette's response on this video. Who knows after few days, Jim may buy his cookbook.
Great video. Honest question though...at 180lbs...how in the hell am I honestly supposed to eat 1.5 grams of protein per pound without literally consuming so much meat that my cholesterol goes through the roof, I have to quit my job and start eating full time, or I go broke buying all those groceries? Lol. You’re talking about 270 grams of protein per day. Unless someone is going to pay me 10 million dollars to star in the next Thor movie...why would I do that to myself?
Protein shakes. 3 scoops = 80-90g of protein
True man🤣, 1.5 gram of protein per pound is useless it can also lead to damage kidneys. While bulking take 1.8 gram per kg weight + 300-500 surplus calories from maintanence calories
bro have you heard of protein shakes
@@stevena6438 hello friend….yes I’ve heard of them lol…problem is protein shakes are often made of whey…I would encourage you to read the nutrition label on the bottle and look how much cholesterol is in these protein shakes. You might as well just eat meat.
@@kgsfitness7806 that’s true protein shakes got too much cholesterol I’ll just stick with eating fish chicken or steak anything that’s high in carbs or protein I ain’t tryna use powder to get me big
so.....how do u get a voice like that?🤔🤔🤔
Nofap
1.5g per POUND or KILOS? If he meant pounds, that's insane. I'd be looking at around 270 grams of protein A DAY
He's wrong. 0.7-1 gram per pound (1.6-2.2 grams per kg) on lean bulk
@@lukasionescu721 and if you're fat you can choose the lower range, but 1.5 is excessive
I can smell the insane farts he must emit through youtube
Don’t forget minim 15 k steps and around 2500-2700 cals
Lean bulking, don’t eat to much on off day’s, if your maintenance is 3,600 just do 3,000
So do I have to eat less than my maintenance calories in the rest days if i'm doing a lean bulk?
1:05
Funny how "research now shows" that carb cycling and high protein diet can help lose body fat and maximize muscle gains. This is not something new.
the vid is short, simple, straight to the point, the guy explaining has phd and ripped. so, why not?
Because there's some hidden bs.
How the heck do I begin getting 225 grams of protein into my diet if I did the calculations right?!? I'm 150lbs. I love protein but that's WAY more than I ever eaten before. I think the most I've eaten in a day was around 120. HELP
I’d start off with just doing 1g per body weight first and if you’re able to increase it beyond, then try it out. As for how you eat that much protein, between eggs, protein powder, and chicken daily should get you pretty close. Try to write down everything you eat in a given day and then you’ll start to see some protein “holes” in your diet. Fill those up and you should be set.
@@jakeharr3780 ok great thanks. Really trying to eat as much protein as possible and trying also to come up with enough high protein things to eat. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep plugging away and eating lots of protein
Mans neck tattos were probaly dope
I want to look like Chris Heria and Bradley Martyn basically
You gotta train like hell until the point where your hair falls out. That's the only way to become truly strong.”
~ Saitama
Ahhh yes a man of culture
For me it seems nearly impossible to hit that high of a protein intake daily. I struggle to even hit 1gram per lb of body weight (170lbs)
1.5g for each pound is nonsence
I find it too easy as a cheese lover who also likes nuts and beans lol. Find stuff you like and track rough with myfitnesspal ;)
You should be fine getting 140-150grams per day. Per Athlean-X
I take 200gm protein and 400gm carbs every day and I'm at like 18 to 20% bf
At 170lbs you really only need 136g of protein. 170 x .8 = 136.
Simple as abc
To me 1.5g/pound body weight is way too much. Maybe for recomp that's fine.
his workouts didnt include thigh and hamstrings, it only had calves
On Friday he noted leg focus.
It’s not hard guys. It’s honestly common sense. Eat lots of healthy food and train hard. When you don’t train, take it easy on the food
1.5 gram protein per pound of body weight? I don't get it.
I don't think that much protein is required it can easy replaced 1 gm per pound.

Hi! My name is Maddie and I just started a CZcams channel with my dad! We would love any support! My dad is 67 and was a professional bodybuilder in the 80s and I was a professional cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers. We have a love for fitness and being goofy and dancing! Our channel is to prove that age is just a number and we hope to inspire others to workout and just have fun!! XO! Maddie
1.5 protein per pound of bodyweight is A LOT. For a 200 point male that is 300 G of protein lol.... My understanding is that 1g of Protein per pound is more than sufficient as more than that is not being absorbed.
Now the Jhonny sins started toh teach u how to build muscle 🙆🏻♀️
💨💨💨💨💨
ok
Workout ✍ Low Carbs ✍ High Protein ✍
You say in the video 1.5 grams of protein per pound and I'm 145 pounds. now how the hell am I supposed to eat 217 grams of protein in a day.
That's what I'm trying to figure out
1.5 G of protein per pound of body weight ? Wow for me thats about 215 G! Seems excessive?
He's selling powder for his friends.
1.5 grams per pound of body weight? I don’t think my kidney and wallet can handle that.
3.3 g protein for each kg of bodyweight lol nice1
He said 1.5 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight
@@bananamcdonald4916 which is the same as 3.3g per kg..
