    01:28 - Higher Protein Intake
    Most people think that when it comes to mass gaining, your just going to eat anything you can to gain body fat with muscle because that's the way to maximize muscle mass gains. Research now shows that that's no longer the case. In fact, the leaner you are the higher your muscle protein synthesis. While gaining mass you want to stay as lean as possible. Follow along as Jim Stoppani, Ph.D. teaches you the 3 steps to do that.

    • @GordonBFit

      This is how I would carb load. Do it the day before and the day of leading up to your weight training. That way your glycogen stores will fill up and give you better workouts. Waiting til the day will leave you with less gas in the tank on those weight training days. I hope that helps 💪

    Number 2 and 3 are kinda obvious but number 1 doesn't make sense as he says most mass gaining programs follow a split type of system and then he basically does the same thing but a very bad system if I ever saw one. If I were to make a schedule I would do Monday: Chest & triceps, Tuesday: Back and biceps, Wednesday: Shoulder & triceps, Thursday: Legs & biceps, and then with every single workout at the end you do your abs with some cardio to top it off (no cardio on legday). Then you just cycle this schedule and take a rest day in-between whenever you feel is the best for you. I prefer one day rest after one cycle. Keep in mind that the days change depending on when you take your rest days but that doesn't change your training schedule, so your Monday schedule could shift a day and become your Tuesday schedule but you just keep going.

    • @Christianjfitt
      @Christianjfitt Před 2 lety

      I know this comment is old but unless your on gear, you'd be over training tf out of your arms with this routine. You'd be hitting arms atleast 3 times a week and if you take into consideration you're indirectly training your triceps on your shoulder days, you'd be training triceps 4-5 times a week.

    0:53 I have a question about this. For some context, some people say that this kind of routine (infamously known as a bro-split routine) is not as efficient as routines that have you work out the same muscle groups twice a week instead of just once (Examples: PPL-PPL, UPPER-LOWER-PPL, etc.).
    My question is: is there a right answer here? I am going back to the gym soon (gyms are reopening soon in my area) and I would like to know more about this.

      I’d start off with just doing 1g per body weight first and if you’re able to increase it beyond, then try it out. As for how you eat that much protein, between eggs, protein powder, and chicken daily should get you pretty close. Try to write down everything you eat in a given day and then you’ll start to see some protein “holes” in your diet. Fill those up and you should be set.

      At 170lbs you really only need 136g of protein. 170 x .8 = 136.

    To me 1.5g/pound body weight is way too much. Maybe for recomp that's fine.

    It’s not hard guys. It’s honestly common sense. Eat lots of healthy food and train hard. When you don’t train, take it easy on the food

    Hi! My name is Maddie and I just started a CZcams channel with my dad! We would love any support! My dad is 67 and was a professional bodybuilder in the 80s and I was a professional cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers. We have a love for fitness and being goofy and dancing! Our channel is to prove that age is just a number and we hope to inspire others to workout and just have fun!! XO! Maddie

    1.5 protein per pound of bodyweight is A LOT. For a 200 point male that is 300 G of protein lol.... My understanding is that 1g of Protein per pound is more than sufficient as more than that is not being absorbed.
