It started out with a conversation about chili oil but ended with the mighty cucumber stealing the show.
This is actually 3 Ways We Use Cucumber
Lol
The water that is drawn out of the cucumber is actually slightly bitter and not pleasant by itself.
@@godsama959 hello 👨👨👧👨👨👦💁🏼♀️🙆♀️🤼💬♦️💬📢♦️♦️♥️
BAHAGAHHA YEAH
Inga just casually having an ice-cream maker, pint size container and edible flowers in fridge. Madlad
Casually
I think many people are trying to simplify the really interesting Inga's and Alvin's dishes comparing Andrew's snacky dish. And I think this comment portrays that.
I'm not underestaming Andrew's dish (not like others are trying to do with all the other dishes). I'm just saying that Alvin, Inga and Rae really managed to elaborate something innovative and cool to try. Also, Andrew made his dish but, not as interesting as theirs.
At some point of the video, I felt that he needed to point out that his dish was goingt to be a casual gulity-pleasure snack with a little twist one it but, he didn't. Overall, they all did a great job and really looking-good dishes.
@@ricardorojas3872 Andrew is also the only one in the group that isn't exactly a chef. Sure he's been working with them for a long time, but he's the most normie and so you'd expect something much simpler from him anyways
@@JC-0108 yep i think he started like 3 years ago so he good for having 3 year experience
my girl Inga is living THE LIFE.
When they talk about Asian food and Andrew doesn't know it
Andrew: *just smile*
Nd i love how rie tries to include him in those conversations. So sweet typical wholesome rie 😭❤️
or Chinese food specifically and both andrew and rie are like O-o
Technically he is asian, he is Russian as well
And as I read this comment, Andrew smiled
It's so exciting to see people learning abt real asian food 😫
Alvin went practical.
Inga went experimental.
Rie went traditional (ish).
And Andrew is literally visiting his childhood of coming back home to make his own snack of whatever was left in the fridge.
I love it when Alvin, Inga, and Rie went all out with a plated dish, then Andrew went in with a sandwich LOL
The funny thing is, Andrew's dish is probably the one most people watching this video will make because it looks the easiest to do. Most people have the majority of those ingredients at home and the rest you can just run to any grocery store to grab. You don't need to know any special techniques or need any special equipment. The most you need is an oven to toast the bread and a knife to cut it and the pickles and to spread the peanut butter on. Add the chili oil and done and done.
@@mekkio77 But alvin's dish is literally just cucumbers, ramen, spam and a canned condiment with honey and vinegar. I definitely have all those in my pantry.
Well yuno Alvin, Inga and Rie are also Asian 😂
My exact reaction with this dish and his brussels sprouts with the cast iron
@@mekkio77 Most of the ingredients shown are available in the average grocery store - let's not create a narrative that ethnic food is less accessible, cause it's not ;)
Andrew is just staring into my soul and I feel violated
Ohh now I understand because he's looking into the lense !
So is Alvin
deadass i was about to say it
Andrew is the Jim Halpert
Hey don't blame him for having the lenses too high!
All of them contrast each other that it intrigues me lmao.
Inga's casual "ooh", "hmmm", and little commentaries while someone else is talking. Alvin's awkward giggles. Andrew's logical and curious inquiries. And there's Rie--- silent, observant, and nonchalant persona.
Love it!
This show is kind of bittersweet in that they don't get to try each other's dishes :\ I hope they get to do that after the panorama
@@jkvlst7243 izoneeeee
@@jkvlst7243 MAN! I miss IZ*ONE sm 🥺
But the comment made laugh hard hahaha
Things that interested me:
Alvin: Gourmet "spam"
Inga: "I had edible flowers in my fridge."
Rie: Forgot to add a bunch of stuff
Andrew: He always seems to have NICE bread.
I thought gourmet spam was a joke ! but if there is gourmet spam I want to try it 🤔
@@zoemartin1761 There are "fancy ham in a can" products that are basically gourmet spam! I think a common one is Dak. It comes in a more triangular can than regular Spam does!
Rie sounded like she would if she had cooked while being stoned xD
@@drysquishy Funny you should mention that brand as we happen to have 2 cans of that sitting in a back corner of the counter. It's canned ham and not spam. It's basically like deli ham.
@@zoemartin1761 i taste so good....but pricy
Inga just casually destroying Alvin @ 9:50 lol
Alvin looked hurt haha
Alvin says " the noodles take on the flavor and salt from the spam", proceeds to wash the noodles like no tomorrow.
not inga being skeptical about andrew's sandwich when she combined ice cream and chili oil 😭
Honestly, the ice cream looks so appetizing until she put those chili oil.
Tofu ice cream and chili oil sounds better than peanut butter and chili oil ngl
Theme was chilling oil and she used ready made chili oil.
@@afarensis9720 Not to me! I make the same sandwich Andrew makes, with Frank's hot sauce instead of chili oil. It's so good, you should try it!
@@afarensis9720 unsweetened peanut butter goes with any flavor according to me, but it just might be my love for peanuts
Peanut butter, pickle and chili oil is just actually satay sauce if you think about it.
Oh my god, you're right! I'd personally add a lot of raw red onion tho 😋
Absolutely what I am thinking when he explain the savory peanut butter 😀
oh- now that made sense...........
So bread dipped in satay
Omg just read the comment and I felt enlightened 😂
Putting chili oil with ice-cream is something Mike Chen would do.
they should feature mikey on this channel someday
He did do that on first we feast on his show
Mikey would definitely do that.... I can picture him now...lol
I've tried it and it's delicious 🤣
@@MissJudyJetson lol. He's eating it I can see his eyes looking upwards left and right going, "hmmm"
Alvin and Inga's dishes are turning this into a trendy vs traditional episode
lol
Alvin and inga nodding to eachothers explanation like what bestfriends do in school
I just realized how much I love it when they pronuonce somthing in chinese, in the middle of a sentence.
(Pine Sol voice) "That's the power of code switching!"
@@peabody1976 Yeah. I'm guessing the fact that chinese is a tonal language makes that even more of a code switch
They look like a family... Like a real family
Yeah if the white guy was adopted that would be true.
@@rickysanchezzz2325 if it was an interracial family, it would also make sense.
But that comment is really weird to be honest lol
@@rickysanchezzz2325 I think they meant a family feeling in general. Family isn't just blood relative.
Alvin:son
Rie: mom
Inga: alvin girlfrien
Andrew : father
When I studied in the US, I discovered Lao Gan Ma (like Alvin, my fave is the one with douchi too!). I got a huge bottle with me back to India (my home country) and my mother got so obsessed with it, she HAD to have more! But with the pandemic (and some political issues between India and China), buying Lao Gan Ma was pretty hard so my mother decided to make her own version of the chili crisp using Kashmiri chilis, and she was MINDBLOWINGLY successful! We now eat it with roti, paratha, khichdi, heck I've had it with dosa, dhokla, upma, poha, and my mother even likes it as a topping on her Bhujia Sev that she eats with her evening chai. I still love the OG Lao Gan Ma to bits, but my mom's chili crisp hits all the right spots too!
Try bread butter with Lao Gan Ma and make a sandwich with potato wafers in between.
can i get the recipe for the home made one hehe?
Recipe plz
OMG. You really went all the way. Like chilli oil in Dosa would hit it
recipe ???
1:36
Inga: Spam fries
Alvin: Actually it's premium gourmet lunch meat fries
AKA Spam fries
Andrew's dish explores "The Fundamentals of Why Something Tastes Good"
All 4 them in one video feels like an avengers movie ♥️
Inga is literally your quiet Asian friend who is never seems to study hard but ends up being super competitive and getting A+
I mean people use a different "competitive" way of getting an A+
Can we stop with the “quiet Asian friend” stereotype. She’s literally a cook, not your quiet Asian friend.
I really love how alvin and Inga are like having a full conversation and they know what each other’s childhoods are like
Everyone is laughing and making fun, excited noises while Rie is like the elder sister who is serious but sooo cute and watching silently but observing ❤❤❤❤
Knowing Rie is also the person behind Tasty's videos spreading dangerous lies about food makes me like her less.
@@o0LARCenCiel oh no... What lies have been spread by Tasty/Rie?
@@o0LARCenCiel Rie spread lies? What kind of lie?
@cherrylemonade this weirdo said "lies about food"....from someone that studied culinary arts and loves food so much. Can't believe everything psychos on the internet say...Don't be gullible.
@@krissy9128 Yeah, agreed 100%
I really need Inga to stop apologizing. Like girl, we stan showmanship
13:56 I could relate to Andrew's smile-of-being-the-only-one-who-can't-relate
The look Inga gave the camera when Alvin said he didn't like his food too spicy gave me Jim Halpert energy. 😂
Time stamp pls
@@vid923 2:43
@@Subdivision229 thank you💜
When he said that I’m like Inga can’t relate😂
the things y’all are doing with this channel. INCREDIBLE.
literally nobody’s doing it like you guys are. congratulations!
I love how it's just friends sharing their passion with each other. It's a wonderful conversation to be a part of and I'm glad they let us in! What an awesome group of people
"Literally no body doing it like you guys are" plz explain what you mean by that
I'm confused
@@ricecooker773 lmao it meant nobody’s as good and creative in you youtube space as them
BA kitchen was there but.... did not end well lol
Inga is that person who says she just revised a little bit before the exam but ends up topping in class and keeps apologizing to everyone 😂😂
Inga: "This is actually a cucumber video.. I should have put cucumber on my ice cream. Dang it"
😂😂😂
Edit:
Wow, I didn't realize I've got so many likes 😮
Thank you guys! ❤️
the "Dang it" made me giggle
What’s the timestamp?
There got you to 600 likes bud
22:00
969 likes nice
they're the reverse try guys and i love that energy
This is a tasty all star team on the thumbnail
Nobody:
Andrew when rie inga and alvin are talking asian terms:👀
I still remembered when Andrew recommended the peanut butter pickle sandwich. Til this day, I still eat it. No joke, it’s so good
If you like that, try pb and green olive.
Andrew: describing his dish
Alvin: OMG Here we go!
Iconic to me
Why does inga’s dish seem like something that ríe would make for make it fancy
it's interesting seeing how we cut cucumbers differently. it's cool how even in our smallest practices we're so different because of our cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
Inga looks like she loves cooking and getting new info about various types of cooking, I love her!! I love Rie, Andrew and Alvin for years but I recently found Inga and love her now
Inga: I made ice cream and candies at home.
Andrew: So I just really punched this piece of bread.
These are the only class presentations I look forward to.
I need an Inga in my life 🥺 she hypes everything and everyone
She’s like a cute Pokémon. Always happy and bubbly. And her voice is too adorable as well!
Every single time when Inga comes up with something it is trendy, unique and like wait what?? experience. I loved to watch her trendy vs traditional series and she was always surprising me with something..
Damn... Andrew’s pregnancy cravings are back hahah
I loved this episode so much! I love how you guys actually allow each other to talk and don't talk over each other. This content is excellent and it was so cool to have Rie there too! How about different ways to use eggs next?
i feel the same! also i feel like it was so educational and interesting while not being flashy and fast paced, which is kind of rare to find.
@@kathrin6078 100%, we don't need flashing lights and crazy editing! Sometimes just nice, chill vibes with delicious looking food is all we want

No fuck you Im disliking
I was questioning the peanut butter and pickles sandwich but now I can't go back. It's honestly so so good. Adding red onions and a slice of bacon tops it for me.
I love vegetables 🥒
I love meat🍖
I love carbs a little less than the other two
Love poem by Alvin(2021)

3:40 is when Andrew stare into your soul.
Ikr, is how he looks at you
Rie is just iconic periodtt.
im obsessed with what a wholesome group this is
Four great ways to Chili Oil.
Is there another “four ways we uses” but this time I think Ginger is good subject.
I love how passionate Inga is.
I love how it's just 2 Chinese people, one Japanese and one white dude and when like Alvin talks about the Chinese ingredients, Inga completely understands, rie maybe slightly and Andrew just has no idea
for some reason, this video is really worth watching. I watch it with full focus. It didn't make my mind wander. It's informative and entertaining. It's perfect ❤️
IDK if it's just me, but Alvin's right eye brow twitches 😊. It seems cute
Yes, everything about his face is cute 🥰
TF
yall okay
-everyone starts staring at his eyebrows-
Yes, second. Everything related to Alvin is cute.
I love this group of people together. The vibe is so chill and comforting, such a refreshing thing to see because so many people try to hype themselves up for videos to seem interesting. This video feels like a fun and chill conversation between friends. Fav video from you guys so far, love it!
This ENTIRE video is shouting POSITVIE ENERGY ONLY. LOVED IT
I feel like Andrew accidentally got so excluded on so many Asian only traditions, names, techniques, and even whole conversations lol
I feel like Andrew might actually know more about Asian techniques in cooking than we think. In some of the behind the scenes of worth it, you can see that his curiosity goes beyond just "where did this come from" a lot of it is "how did this come about and then what else." I'm sure there was a lot more discussed than what is shown to us.
but i do think it does have to do with all 3 taking inspiration from asian dishes! but i although he does look a little left out, you can really tell he is soaking up everything that is flying by
@@camillelam75 I mean they are Asian so it's the normal food for them is Asian food.. I mean
@@manyaprasad2837 not exactly. asian food is broad, rie is probably leftout occasionally as well
so nice to see Rie with them!!
All 4 of them have the nicest smiles. What a cool group.
When I saw Alvin’s eyebrow twitch with that creepy smile(0:56): SYSTEM MALFUNCTION!!!
😆😆😆😆
Welcome Rie☺️
Ohmygosh Alvin’s dish!!! My mouth is watering. Can’t wait to try this
Everyone's reactions when Andrew revealed the "iconic" sandwich 👏😂
People always get mad when I say I like eating boiled chicken bc they think it will be bland and dry. I‘m glad that Rie showed us this version of saliva chicken, one of the best chicken dishes there is
Locally we have a really good olive oil ice cream, and a red chili ice cream. I enjoy both, don’t know why they haven’t thought of a chili oil ice cream.
Wow that seems fantastic!
Inga's, "Yaaayy"
Makes me happy 😊😊
I look forward to your videos the most during the week.
Thank you for making my week so much better.
I watch so many CZcams channels but something about these four is so calming. I feel like this is the type of person I want to be and want to be around.
I've always been a huge fan of Rie but I have a new appreciation for Inga, Alvin and Andrew. Good work, Chefs.
Andrew's sandwich reminds me of my mom's quick cheat satay sauce which she makes for snack time and it's packs a flavor punch.
She makes it using peanut butter, ground coriander, chilli oil, canned coconut milk, fish sauce and lime juice. I'm telling you it's yummy.
Sometimes I just love these tasty producers sooooo much, because they have shown us perfectly how ANYONE could become friends regardless of their race, age or background.
You're such a sympathetic, creative group! Thanks a lot for doing what you do 🤗
I just love this episode the most bc this is my absolute favorite group of cooking people on CZcams
Honestly I am a bit surprised none of them attempted to make their own chili oils for their dishes!
It's so interesting how everyone made cold dishes for this video, when chili oil is usually associated with hot things. But it also makes so much sense because you want something cold to balance out the spiciness
Oooh good point
I would love to see more videos like this one! All the dishes were so creative!
Rie`s face 05:22 when Inga couldnt remember what she cooked, seems like "You are f*cked when this video is done"
So calming and relaxing 💤💤 this is different from other shows as they are relaxed. Andrews voice is the best.
the way inga and Alvin react to each other talking is just cuttee
Rie and Alvin are my favorite this time. I’m loving this series, guys. Great source of inspiration! Thank you!
Inga's excitement in all these videos just makes me so happy.
I love how kind these guys seem, I just think they’re all lovely!
I have no idea how I missed this channel but I'm so happy I found you guys again. I'm spending my Sunday doing Christmas puzzles and watching all the videos even then new worth it. I love you guys. Keep it up.
Amazing series- the recipes are surprisingly practical and easy! Can't wait to try these.
In Mexico, there is something called "chile de aceite" aka chillie oil. It is often used on boiled and sliced potatoes or cucumbers and eaten as a snack. Is simple, but it is really good when you want a savory snack.
I think this video is made for making a full meal with chili oil and cucumber.
Andrew's peanut butter cucumber sandwich with chili oil as the apetizer. Alvin's cold noodles with cucumber and spam with chili oil sauce as the main. Rie's chicken cucumber salad with chili oil dressing as the side. And to finish, is Inga's tofu ice cream with peanut and chili oil for desert, sadly no cucumber, but I forgive because of Inga's Halaya episode.
It’s as if the wonderful collaborators are flavours coming together for the video, another layer to the delicious recipes. So good!
love this series and all the efforts you guys put
Rie’s voice is just so calming its not even a joke
The best one is the sandwich, I was very surprised how incredibly good it was. I should say that I didn't recreate the saliva chicken just because I've had it so many times and I just don't think it has ever been very good. Thanks for the recipe ideas!
This three or four ways we.... is soooooo interesting!!! Please make an entire series out of it - I love it!!!
I really enjoy this kind of videos. One simply ingredient but so many takes on it. Love it
andrew out here in a fancy new kitchen! love a glow up
I have eaten the sandwich Andrew makes in this almost every day since I watched this. Too good
This format is amazing! and the recipes are so creative
Inga always gets super creative with her dishes! Love her creativity
