  • This is the first episode of many where I showcase my favourite games for a retro system that I believe have aged very well...
For example I love Elite however I feel if I didn’t grow up with it I would probably struggle to get into it today.
Please feel free to comment your favourite Commodire Amiga games as I’m trying to achieve the ultimate Amiga games collection, your input means a lot.

@@Sinisteve haha. Kick Off 2 took so much skill to master. I loved that game. I miss the Amiga. I spent a whole year nagging my dad to buy me one. I even had a poster of an Amiga in be bedroom so, everytime my dad or mom entered I immediately put on my sad face as to show them how miserable I was for not having an Amiga. Haha. I did that the whole year until school finished and my grades allowed me to have one. The first day I played until 3 am which was The Thing as I was a little kid. I know it's a stupid story but I think it was the happiest day of my childhood. Great memories. Also, KK2 IS the best! :p Cheers mate

StayCoolKeto I have the cartoon classics Amiga 500+ that came with lemmings but my absolute favourite game is the secret of Monkey Island. I had so much fun with the console and that game (and the early 90s always seemed more care free and simple) that I stood firm that I would never part with it as it's important to cherish things that make you really happy. I'm looking to track down some old games I did part with overtime to relive some memories but we did have a few originals in the boxes and most of the games we had were copies from the carboot sale. That was ok though as they worked fine and also saved on space so we had many to enjoy! I love seeing that people as adults still enjoy the console 😁

There are some hidden gems on these 'older' systems I might have yet to find out; recently I have been watching a lot of C64 gameplay haha. Really good video and very interesting to see your choices, thanks for sharing them.
It’s not an easy exercise when there are so many classics on the system. The fact there’s no room for the likes of Chaos Engine, Monkey Island, Flashback, Another World, Wings, Lotus 2 etc just shows how difficult it is. Different tastes and nostalgia for different stuff means everyone would have a slightly different list and that’s what makes it so interesting I suppose.
I’ve never been that keen on single screen platformers (Pang, Rodland etc), at least since Bubble Bobble on the 8-bits, so that would have freed up some room for others in mine.

Cannon Fodder should have been much higher in my opinion. There was strategy to it, not just pure running and shooting as made out in your screenshots. I know you only included games you owned, but Prince of Persia and Another World should have been on this list (Syndicate also rings a bell). I can only assume you didn't own it. There are some seriously bad games on this list though. Some great games in that lot, slam tilt is awesome, I actually own most of them games now since the making of this video, although lion heart I only own the disk, stunning graphics

Awesome video. Unfortunately I sold my Amiga in 1992 to buy my first PC but at least I can play my old favorites again with an emulator. Hopefully retro games will release an Amiga replica like they did with the c64 mini and maxi which I have both

      🙈just buy it back ha
Winuae on pc is pretty spot on though tbf but you can’t emulate whipping that disk out and hearing those read noises😉

Yes but there is another emulator i use besides WinUAE. Its called FS-uae suite 2.8.3 which is pretty spot on as well. It emulates the sound of the floppy disk noises loading. Try it out and see what you think. It is very user friendly and easy to create config files for every game
