Actually, if you look at it from another way, the costume is meant to be a construction worker's uniform. Think about it, workman-style "jeans" (I agree the pants don't go with the jacket), & a high-visibility, retro-reflective jacket. These were just just "Jacksonified" by Bush. Thought I'd teach youse all something new.
I thought people were aware of this, also the outfit is supposed to be a bit bizzare, because it fits with the lure of the song with the rushed, frantic nature. As if he hasn’t even got time to put himself together cos hes “working” so much😅
