- Rider experience and comparison after living with the Honda X-ADV 750 and the Honda ADV 350 scooters. The X-ADV is a motorcycle that identifies as a scooter. I ride in many road conditions to test these two excellent motorbikes.

Been looking endlessly through reviews and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
Very decent review, Thanks for the upload. May the roads be smooth and drivers friendly to you.
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
Exactly what I've been looking for. A very informative and helpful review. Thank you and ride safe!
You're welcome, and thank you. 👊🏼
Great review, thank you. I have a 2023 ADV 160, and the g/f has a Scoopy. Love the scoopy for quick trips to the local markets, etc, in busy traffic. A couple of months ago, i began to look for something bigger to head out to the province's for weekends away. Hired the ADV 350 for 4 days and then X ADV 750. Enjoyed the step up with both machines, but the 750 for me was something else. I enjoyed the upgrade so much i picked up the X ADV which has put the joy back into riding for me.
You're welcome, and thank you! Gig is riding a Scoopy while in Udon Thani right now, one of her favorites. That's awesome; you bought an X-ADV. Everybody should ride one at least once. It's one of the best-looking motorbikes and a very fun machine.
Really good comparison! Much appreciated! Thanks!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
I have been riding PAS 1250 in Saigon where it was so hot during summer. I am about to exchange either xadv 750 or 350 and your vid given me a full and clear picture. Thanks Jake and subscribed.
You're welcome, and thank you! I remember riding in Saigon years ago in May. 🔥🥵
Thank you for great video and honest comparison.
I owned a X-ADV 2021 for 2 years and I have loved this motorbike. Unfortunately, being a short rider I have decided to give it up because it was too much difficult to manage in Pattaya’s traffic. In addition, I couldn’t even take it up on the central stand (too heavy for me)
As the new ADV350 was released, I went for it and I am happier with it, although I miss so much the X-ADV’s DCT. Actually, these 2 bikes cannot really be compared. One is a scooter while the other is a motorbike. Both are fantastic, but for different uses 😊
Thanks again for your great job, always happy to see you in CZcams and maybe once at a Pattaya’s corner 😎🙏🎉
You're welcome, and thank you. The X-ADV is a motorcycle that identifies as a scooter Lol 👊🏼
Best review I have seen so far, real talk no bs.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
Great material, substantively, practically, amazing, thank you and I am asking for more such excellent comparative tests ;-)
Thank you!
This video helped so much. Am definitely going for the 350. Am 6' 2" but hey still going for it.
Awesome, I'm happy it was helpful! You'll love that 350.
You have improved your videos a lot , keep doing it!
Thank you; I do my best.
Jakes videos are fantastic. I link them in a lot of Asian expat Facebook groups and such, and get nothing but Thank You! from those who see them.
@@joepangit6938 That's awesome! 👊🏼
Very informative, wife and I have a 20 year old Honda Wave 100 and though it’s still a good scooter I am feeling like an upgrade may be in the future. This was a great video comparison with real world knowledge. Thanks for making the video for us. 🙏🏼
You're welcome, and thank you!
Pretty detailed insights from the owner perspective and really useful for the prospective buyers of these models. Hats off Sr. 🫡
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Great vid as ever Jake -- Keep up the good work....
Thank you, Dave! 👊🏼
Greetings from Turkey. It was a very good review video. I'm waiting for the 2024 models to arrive in my country. I hope I will get one.
Hello, and thank you! 👊🏼
Well, EXPLAINED brother. Thank you for super in-depth explanation about the differences between those 2 special scooters.

Cool review. Thanks for posting/sharing. Cheers you two! :)
Thanks, and you're welcome!
What a good real review , flawless ….. unlike those professional reviews who are so technically inclined….
Thank you very much! 🙏🏼
Amazing review, Thanks! 🙏
Thank you! 👊🏼
I must say that this is one of the best comparison reviews I have come across!
Initially, I owned a Forza350, but after using it for three months, I decided to switch to the ADV 350. I was contemplating whether I should upgrade to an xADV, but after reading the review, I have a better understanding and have decided to stick with the ADV 350.
I completely agree with your opinion regarding top boxes-they can really ruin the appearance of any bike.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome, I'm happy you liked the video! The ADV 350 is a delightful motorbike to live with.
Fantastic review!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Hey Jake, great vid as usual - nice to meet you the other week. My red 350 was 186,400 on-road on 2nd Feb and after a few weeks out of stock the same dealer (Honda Bigwing Udon Thani) now has a delivery of matt black ADV 350's at 188,900 on-road cost. Brand new Forza's at the same dealer were 182,000 with roadsync a couple of weeks ago This is the cheapest dealer I have come across for these bikes, but as you saw the guy below reckons they are even cheaper in Buriram.
Thanks, Paul! That was an awesome surprise meeting you in Udon. Thank you for the price update, good information for everybody.
Awesome vid! Thanks man!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
Thank you for giving your frank opinion. I got a XADV 750, and I agree with all you have mentioned 👍
You're welcome. 👊🏼
Thank...is good comparison and good reference for me.
I'm glad you liked it. 👊🏼
As always nice Review.
Thanks! 👊🏼
Enjoyed your excellent and practical review! Own a X-ADV 750 2023 and the DCT is such a joy to ride. When up to speed, its fantastic to maneuver. But I underestimated its weight on full-lock slow turning and bike tipped over. Lucky i had full crashbar to protect the bike. Wonderrful bike to get my passion for riding back.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! 👊🏼
Awesome review 👍
Agree on everything
I’m a 350 owner 🙂
Thanks! 👊🏼
Great work Jake👍
Thank you. 🙏🏼
What a vid!! Thank you!

Hi Jake, thank you for all helpful information between these two really nice bikes. In my opinion cruise control would be nice with X-ADV
and Colorful screen for ADV 350
Hello, and you're welcome. 🙏🏼 I agree, that would be a nice upgrade for both.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on a Yamaha qbix 125! Your motorcycle/scooter-videos are entertaining!
I'll have to get my hands on one for a week. 👊🏼
I have adv350. The xadv 750 has special sockets that are purchased separately so that you can stand up. 10 days ago I was in Thailand, greetings from Greece.
Thanks for the info, I remember the 2018 X-ADV 750 had folding foot pegs for standing.
Very good review, thank you.
You're welcome, and thank you. 🙏🏼
Great review - thx!
You're welcome, and thank you! 👊🏼
Geat review. I have been riding a NMax for the past few years. This was the perfect tool for moving around Bangkok. Now that I am spending most of my time in Siracha, I was looking for something more capable. I was thinking about getting the ADV350 a few month ago. Then I saw the Triumph Scrambler 400x. That Triumph has almost 40% more power and torque, even better suspension and is cheaper! The only one thing that is better on the ADV is the storage which is inexistant on the 400x which will require a top box. A few could prefer the CVT but the gearbox and clutch on the Triumph is super smooth so to me it is not an issue. Traffic jams in the area are not as bad as the one in Bangkok.
Thank you. Those small motorcycles are a blast to ride! I recently spent a week riding a ZX6RR and, yesterday, a 390 duke. However, the storage, and ease of use in heavy traffic is why I prefer to live with scooters. The plastic on the scooters also keeps the heat off of my legs. I always wear jeans on motorcycles, but my legs still cook riding in South East Asia heat, especially March - August.
Fair review.
Regarding the summary of Pros and Cons in the end I should point out some aspects that have direct influence on the X-ADV.
The X-ADV has the option of rider footpegs for offroad standing. There's Honda's and there's cheaper after-market options. Those who tried it say it's much better, even if not doing offroad.
The X-ADV usually sells with fully adjustable front suspension. It comes tuned for road use, which means a stiffer configuration. But f you have bad roads or want to use it offroad, you can soften it on compression and rebound.
The back suspension I think it's only adjustable on pre-load. Do check. The specs for the X-ADV might not be the same on your market.
But can't beat the under seat storage on the ADV350. Seems to fit a full surf board.
Thank you for sharing information. 👌🏼
Good review, i own the forza 750, its an similar bike on the same frame and engine but more touring focused, Aldo i do like the Xadv 750 design more. I really love how they drive, fantastic machines. The forza 750 has a lot of the same pros and cons including the keyless key issue :).
Thank you! The DCT sure makes for a fun ride.
I really like to clear and usefull way you compare these scooters!
But that was not a 3 seconds headstart it was one second :)
😂 I noticed that when I was editing the video. My 3-second count was rushed, to say the least. I'll be more disciplined next time. I'm happy you like the reviews. 👊🏼
Wow, I was specifically looking for this comparrison JUST NOW and lo and behold, a comparison came out 1 hours ago haha.
So key takeaway, the x-adv 750 is you want higher top speed, the ADV 350 wins in literally all other aspects: comfort, off road safety and comfort, fuel efficiency, acceleration from full stop, passenger comfort, storage space.
Sounds like a done deal ^_^ I'll be driving in the Philippines countryside so, I won't ever get to top the 350's top speed even haha.
Excellent timing. Lol 👊🏼 The ADV 350 is so practical and an easy ride, it's a joy to live with.
350 is not even available in the philippines
350 is not even available in the philippines
That's disappointing.
Yup. I just searched for adv 350 reviews and found this yesterday.
I love real world review where advertiser doesn't have influence. I wanted to buy the XADV750 for the past 2 years but my Integra 750 with over 200,000 KM keeps rolling and is not dying.
Wow, 200,000 km!
Very helpful thanks
You're welcome. 🙏🏼
They are both so adorable

Thanks for this video
You're very welcome.
Really good video! Can you make a review on the GPX Drone?
Thank you. If I come across a GPX Drone, I'll review it. When I asked about Drones at dealerships, the salespeople always advised me not to buy them because of reliability issues.
I look forward to riding one and am very curious about how it compares.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple GPX is a relatively new company. It can be interesting if they can compete with an Honda PCX that is on the market frome many years now.
Awesome comparison, would love to see adv350 vs xmax
Thank you! As soon as I get a 2023 XMAX I'll do that V.S. video.
Hi Jake , here in the UK i've had my 2024 blue adv350 since 2nd week in feb , now with 1800 miles on the clock another good point is going through floods (2 months of nearly constant daily rain) i haven't had to back track once , and when you stand up on the 350 you're right you also have more control slower riding ( specially through floods !! )
Hi, Colin. Thanks for sharing your experience. The ADV350 is the best all-terrain scooter. I wish the blue color was available in Thailand for 2024. Maybe next year, 2025. 🙏🏼
awesome review. i am looking at both. but leaning towards 350 now. where is the best place to buy one of these in bangkok or pattaya? what year would you recommend for a used one? i live in bkk only for 5 months so as long as it's low mileage, but want to know what is best year for a used 350? thx
Thank you! The ADV350, 2022 - 2024. I haven't heard anything negative about its reliability in Thailand. Any year would be a safe buy when looking at used ADV350s.
X-ADV 750, 2021 - 2024. I wouldn't buy the first gen. 2017 - 2020. The DCT is much better in the 2nd generation, along with other nice upgrades.
When buying new, I found the best deals at Honda dealerships where the salespeople spoke little to no English. Expat-concentrated areas have higher prices; that's been my experience. I'm unfamiliar with BKK, but I imagine the situation is similar.
The used ADVs seem to sell fast.

You're very welcome. 👊🏼
Awesome, was looking for comparison since a long time.. Riding a 750 and agree with everything. For me the main downside is the weight in traffic situation at low speed between cars better being careful when the bike is on the uneven white paint or between the concrete. Easy to loose balance.. Great bike but a reasonable choice would have been the 350. Half the price for a very close result and look.
That 750 is fun, but can be stressful and tiring riding in heavy traffic.
Ein schöner Test. Nice
Thank you. 🙏🏼
I just got XDV250i (Longjia), but after watching this video, I’m going to upgrade to the ADV350 when it arrives in Malaysia.
Nice! 👌🏼
Great video, Jake. Question though, does the storage of these bikes get hot obviously when the engines are running?
Thank you! Yes, the storage under all of these scooters gets very warm, especially in Thailand. I've never had issues with the heat damaging my 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max, Go Pro, DJI Action 3, audio equipment, or battery packs.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple thanks you for the reply. I am riding an Xmax300. Wondering how its suspension compare to that of ADV 350 and X-ADV 750.
Overall ride quality I rate them: #1 ADV350, #2 XMAX300, #3 X-ADV750
The ADV350's longer-travel Showa suspension performs much better on damaged road surfaces and off-paved roads. However, on paved road surfaces in good condition, the XMAX suspension performs very well, and the difference between the two isn't noticeable. Hit one-speed bump or take it down a gravel road, and the experience between these two is very different. I like my 2021 XMAX in the US, but riding in Thailand, I much rather have the ADV350.
The lighter XMAX, with its extremely comfortable seat, offers a better ride quality experience than the X-ADV 750. Seeing damaged road ahead while riding the X-ADV 750 makes my body prepare for impact, but I never feel like that on the XMAX.
The new XMAX Tech Max comes with the upgraded Ohlins rear suspension. Owners say the ride quality is the best, but I feel I'm getting a biased opinion. I've been trying to find one to ride for a week so I can do a comparison video against the ADV 350.
Great video. I have the 350, and i'm really happy with it. I do often look at the 750 and wonder if I should make the switch.
However, my scooter is my only vehicle here in Asia, so the 350 is the better option with things like the under seat storage, etc.
The revhead in me wants to try the 750 tho.
Thank you! The 350 is more enjoyable to live with because it's more versatile and practical than the 750. If I had the 750, I would also have an ADV 160 or Click 160 for city commuting.
Have you ridden the bigger displacement Yamaha TMax TechMax? Almost every video I see of it seems to be positive. I know its pricey but when I checked it out at it at the Motor Show at Impact Stadium today it looked great. I'm considering picking up a second hand '22 model in the no so far future. Mostly for touring as I have something smaller for a city bike.
I haven't ridden the TMAX yet. When I get back to Pattaya, I plan on doing a review video on it. A few people have asked about it, and I'm very curious myself.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple If possible review the '22 model or newer as it has a really nice/clear TFT and other desirable changes.
Thank you for your sharing
You're welcome. 👊🏼
Very informative, Jake. I'd rather like to own both of them. Nick
Thanks, Nick!
Very good info.
Thank you. 👊🏼
Great video. You mentioned you had an Xmax. I am torn between buying an Xmax and ADV350. The biggest reason I want the xmax is the GPS without having to overheat my phone. What's your thoughts on both of them as a comparison?
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Both are excellent.
The XMAX has better wind protection, which is nice for riding in cool/cold weather. A front locking compartment, very convenient. An extremely comfortable seat for very long rides. I took a 12 hour trip with my XMAX split over two days down a US interstate. It's the most comfortable motorbike I've ever ridden. My 2021 XMAX has horrible headlights; I avoid night riding. I haven't verified if the 2023 and newer models have improved headlights; a few people have left comments stating the headlights are better. The brakes are ok, typical scooter brakes. The seat-unlock button mechanism stopped working a few times. WD-40 needs to be sprayed into it every so often to keep it working.
The ADV 350 is better for warm and hot climates, with much better airflow around the body and crotch area. The ride quality is excellent, by far better than any other scooter I've spent time with. The brakes are excellent, much better than my XMAX. Very good headlights for a scooter. Wide handle bars and more distance between seat and foot rest makes for a more comfortable seating position for me @ 5' 11". Acceleration is very good, much better than the XMAX from a dead stop. Although, the XMAX has a slightly higher top speed.
Ride quality is the most important thing for me riding on these Thailand roads. The ADV 350 suspension absorbs everything. The XMAX suspension is good on good road, and performs very poorly on bad road.
My XMAX review czcams.com/video/1exbGJqsyao/video.htmlsi=bwXKoDpSVxFfrVyM
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Thank you very much for that detailed description.
It is still a very hard decision I think I will have to end up riding both. I have my PCX150 that I will keep for zipping around tight Pattaya traffic but I want a bigger bike that I can use to go on longer tours around the Kingdom.
I really appreciate your response.
You're welcome. I like your idea. I'm thinking I'll do the same, especially since I've been riding so much in Udon Thani.
Great review. Need either in the US. The ADV160 doesn't cut it. I'd prefer the 350...
Thank you! I agree, we need the bigger 300cc+ scooters for the faster US roads.
All bikes need an active quick updating mpg meter. My last bike an Aprilia Shiver 750, not meant to be a frugal machine had a live MPG reading that made it really easy to find the mpg sweet spot. My current bike just has a slow updating every 15 mile or so reading that you can't easily use to find out what speed and rpm is the most efficient.
On my Aprilia I learnt that simply riding low RPM wasn't the key. It was to be in gear 4 at around 4000rpm which would be about 37mph or so. It would do 65mpg
Interesting information, thank you for sharing.
Thank yoy for Great thorough review. The new Honda XB 350x adv is coming. Hope u will get a chance to review it in the near future.
You're welcome, and thank you. 🙏🏼
Thank you for the Video .
I have a question. Is the Honda Adv 350 in the acceleration better then the Yamaha X Max 300 ?
🙏🏼
You're welcome. Yes, the ADV 350 has much better acceleration from a dead stop than the XMAX 300. Once up to speed, mid-range acceleration feels very similar between the two. The XMAX top speed is faster, but not by much.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Thank you for the answering and information 🙏🏼.
👊🏼
To tell the truth, I'd love to buy the (new) Africa Twin - with the DCT.
But I'm short (1.69 m) - with short legs, as well.
So, the X-ADV 750 looks like the best alternative option - right?
I like, also, the Rebel 1100 - again, with the DCT - for its low sitting position; besides, I used to be a Harley Davidson owner, when I was younger. But its (very) low fuel tank capacity holds me back.
I have a third option, too. The Yamaha TMAX 560. I like its design and its performance.
Nonthaburi, here... So, as you realize, many times, sooner or later, I will face gravel and other off-road conditions.
Between the three models I mentioned - X-ADV, Rebel, TMax - which one do you suggest?
(Or, maybe, you have something else in your mind?)
Thanks in advance!
I would get the 1100 African Twin and lower it. The others are great fun to ride, but if I choose a bike to live with, I'm selecting the African Twin. It will give me the best ride quality and is perfect for tackling any road condition. Of course, I would also have to have a small CC city scooter to go along with it. Lowering is cheap and easy.
The Transalp 750 is one I'd consider also, but I'd be missing the DCT.
I priced the ADV 350 at low 180s in Buriram last week.
Nice!
What do you think about the forza 350 compared to the adv 350? Trying to decide what to buy.
Riding in warm to hot climates with damaged road conditions and off-pavement riding, the ADV 350 is the best choice. The ADV has much better ride quality. I enjoy riding the ADV because I feel like I can run over anything and take it anywhere.
The Forza 350 is a better option for riding in a four-season climate with cool to cold fall through spring temperatures. The ride quality is good when riding on good to excellent pavement conditions. The Forza has much better wind protection. It is too hot for Thailand but great for cold-weather riding.
In europe would you buy a new 350 for 6500or a two year old xadv with 20,000 kilometers for 8000 euro in perfect condition.. am trying to decide which one to go for.. for a blend of city and country riding often with a passenger… am not into speed.
I'd get the X-ADV at 8,000. I like being the second owner of like-new motorbikes. Those are the best deals. You can always get a 350 later.
สวยเท่หล่อทั้งคู่นะครับชอบๆ750
👊🏼
You hit the nail on the head. I ride the 350 it's by far the best scooter for the money. I can't agree when you said the less things on the back are better. How about your wife?
😂 That's true, I think Gig would agree.
I've been looking more towards the ADV 350 or the XMAX 300 what's your thoughts and which year model would you get
If I were purchasing the ADV350, I'd get the 2024, only because the new red available in Thailand and the blue in Europe looks so good.
If I were purchasing the XMAX, I'd get a 2023 or newer. The older generation bright beam headlights are terrible, and the new gen has a TFT display.
If I'm riding in a hot climate with average to poor road quality conditions, I'm getting the ADV 350
If I'm riding on average to excellent-quality roads in a four-season climate and expect to ride often in cold temperatures, I'd get the XMAX 300.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Cheers , thanks for your replies
You're welcome. 👊🏼
I bought the adv 350 somewhere around the end of dec 2023 after watching a few of your videos and have no regrets whatsoever. It is a very chill comfortable ride. I tried the yamaha x-max as well but i don’t know why it’s just feel more confident on the adv 350 but a friend that tried my adv 350 says that it feels the same only that xmax suspension is softer and better, adv 350 is more punchy from a start. Do a review on adv350 vs yamaha xmax please 🙏🏼
I've been looking to get my hands on the updated XMAX. As soon as I can get one, I'll make the XMAX vs ADV 350 video.
I love my 2021 XMAX, and ride quality is very good on good roads, but the ADV 350 is so much better at handling bad roads and off-pavement.
Sweet! Will wait for it!
I know you have a Thai motorcycle license.
I got a Thai "motorcycle license" in 2022 through my U.S. state motorcycle endorsement. However, I think it is only for riding a moped/scooter, not for a big bike. (Back of the license shows a picture, which looks like a scooter but not 100% sure.) My U.S. state motorcycle endorsement (license) is for unlimited engine size because I went through training and tested on a crotch rocket (1000cc - Kawasaki Ninja ZX1000R). I don't know if this is a mistake on the Thai license or what. Any idea?
I only have an international driver's license and a US driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement. I've been stopped a few times at checkpoints in Thailand, the police only looked at my International license. I've never had a problem. There are no distinctions made for engine size on the Thai license or the others.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple thanks for the info. I was not sure about the one license fits all for motorcycle size.
You're welcome. 👊🏼
I’m in a dilemma to choose between Adventure Scooter (Adv 350) & an Adventure bike (VStorm 650). Luxembourg is the base and prefer to tour arnd Southern part of Europe and Baltic nations.
Kindly share your insights.
Thank you.
Oh wow, that's a tough decision. Both are excellent. My first thought is to get the V-Strom, which is perfect for long trips at higher speeds, but the 350 is so relaxing and enjoyable once in the city. When I ride motorcycles, I'm more focused on getting to point B and tend to ride faster and in a more serious state of mind. When I ride scooters, I'm more relaxed and soak in the scenery and surroundings much more. I'd have to rent them each for a few weeks to see which is better to live with.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Thank you.
Great review. I owned a ADV 160 and quickly moved onto the ADV 350. The next decision is Africa Twin DCT versus XADV 750. I think the Africa Twin wins now I have seen this review and others. The XADV 750 twice the price of the ADV 350 but clearly not 'twice the bike'.
Thank you! I think the same, at that price I'd rather spend a bit more and buy the African Twin. I'd keep a small scooter for city riding.
Don't overlook the nc750x, is much cheaper than Africa twin without being cheaper, great gearbox in nc750x great touring bike, and a better next step from adv 350 ,well not better next step, just a shorter next step lol
But these sobs in u.s. will not bring adv 350 to u.s. and that pisses me off big time
Hi, was thinking the same, since I live currently in Turkey, the price difference of XADV and NT1100DCT is minimal. will get an ADV 350 first and then upgrade to NT :) and currently the promote the Kymco AK 550 as well :). Great review. as my wife will be the first time a pillion, I am sure she thinks the same as your wife... prefers the lower pillon ride :)
Thank you. I'm happy you liked the video. I need to get an AK550 for a review. I've wanted to ride one and compare it to my XMAX in the US.
I have an adv 350 and am thinking of getting a xadv 750 next year what do you suggest I wanted your opinion
If you haven't already, you should rent the X-ADV 750 for a few days. See what it's like to live with compared to your 350.
If you were going on a cross border tour would you take the adv 350 or the x max 300
In Southeast Asia I'm taking the more capable ADV 350. It's the best all terrain, any road condition scooter right now. I was recently in Laos thinking about this.
If I was riding in a cooler/cold climate on US interstate quality roads I would take the XMAX.
There's a stupid stigma against machines like this in the UK, very different from European countries like France or Italy.
This is superb comparison - honest blow by blow and not automatically favouring a bigger engine as so many do.
I'm a big engine 'conventional' biker - in the UK - who's becoming a convert to scooter style machines prompted perhaps by age and ageing body. I downsized to an NC750X a few years ago, but wondered then if the X-ADV was a better choice. Now I'm beginning to see the wisdom of the smaller step-thru machines and the ADV350.
I can see the good points of the 750, but it's clear that the 350 can hold it's own. Thanks.
I was the same in the US for many years, thinking I needed at least 1000cc for an enjoyable ride until I visited Vietnam in 2015, I quickly realized scooters are fantastic!
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple The US of course has always loved cubic inches, and HD are a prime example of 'oversized' engines. Yet they offered/offer a more torque laden ride rather than over-powering one.
But yes! All victims of some fashionable 'need' for something we really don't need.
The good outcome is all the super-tech of the monster bikes has trickled down to the smaller and mid range bikes and scooters.
Thanks again.
You're welcome, and thank you. 👊🏼
Correct , I'm back from Spain after 15 yes and have a 300 scoot , quick enough , great on juice and brilliant storage..some bikers here won't nod you and I couldn't care less as it's the perfect machine for UK and I ride all year. ; )
Man , wish these were available in the States
Honda only sends over the ADV 150 and 160, which is strange. The US has faster roads in better condition. We need 300cc + in the US.
Well done video. I will make A2 in sept. 24. Scooter ADV 350 is waiting for me in the shop. Are there any issues with keyless operation? Forza or ADV 350. I have seen one video with keyless troubles.
I have model year 2021, Pcx 125. 16000 km. No problems with keyless operation. No problems at all, zero! That's because I want Honda.
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Keyless operation has been flawless on every Yamaha and Honda scooter I've ridden, except for the intermittent issue with the X-ADV 750 key. I love Keyless!
Keyless is one thing that is avesome. But only, without problems.@@JakeSnowLiveSimple
honda should bring 350 to the Philippines
I agree, I'm surprised it's not there yet.
Great review Jake. Have you done any review on helmets? I've seen you with a white half face helmet that looks like it gets great ventilation. I'm moving to Bohol in July, getting an ADV 160, and worried about a brain bucket that has great airflow. Even in Michigan USA it was too hot for me to wear a full face some of the time. I don't need top end, but an LS2 or HJC in white is what I'm thinking about. Can you give us a video of the experiences of a big white monkey in Asia trying to keep your giant brain cool and safe? Thank you Sir!
You're welcome, and thank you! Helmets-that's a good idea for a video. It's been easy to find comfortable open-face helmets. The challenge is finding quality that compares to US standards. I've gone through a few helmets in Thailand. The helmets I buy always end up being the most expensive ones in the shop, $50-$65, which is incredibly inexpensive compared to what we buy in the US. I've always worn the much safer full-face helmets in the US, but those are brutally hot for everyday use in Southeast Asia's hot, humid climate. HJC would be the highest quality if it was sold here. No $600 Shoei helmets over here. Lol
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Thank you. I feel that if my "Safe" riding gear is making me so hot I can't think straight, it's no longer safety gear. I want to be safe, but still be able to think well.
I agree.
After three reviews of the 350, and how Gig rides it I want to get a 350 for myself.
Gig loved riding that 350 for this video.
Any chance Honda will make the ADV 350 available to the US market? I can’t seem to find out from anybody.😖
Unfortunately, the ADV 350 won't be available in the US. Most salespeople I've spoken with in the US don't know about the ADV350. I never realized how many wonderful motorbikes we Americans were missing out on until I moved to Thailand. The ADV 160 became available in the US a year after it had already been available in Asia and Europe. The US needs the 300cc + scooters.
👍👍
👊🏼
Hey man true can you compare adv 350 vs kimco 350 please
I will if I can find a Kymco 350 to ride.
step aside Steven Spielberg 1 ... Jake Snow is in town , good review
😂 Thank you! 🙏🏼
Hi do you think 6’4 would be doable? Thanks
Hi, if I understand your question correctly, both motorbikes will accommodate a 6'4" person. The X-ADV has more legroom and feels more spacious overall.
Yea so no problem with knees hitting the steer or the bike looking like a mini bike😂
@@Bigpoppavery No, of course not. They never feel too small. 😂
Nice Scoots, Sunny weather,,,,,and a beautiful Lady...You, Sir, have cracked it.....
A dream come true for me. Thailand is awesome!
May do a review between adv160 Vs xadv750 to see the gap
The gap between those two is so huge I'm not sure many people would want to see that.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple I mean that's the point
What do u think about Forza 350?
The Forza would be a nice motorbike in a cooler, four-season climate, operating on better roads in developed countries. The front fairing is large, and suspension travel is limited. Thailand is hot, and riding on damaged roads is common. However, I do like the fairing-mounted mirrors and the acceleration. For me, riding it in Thailand is like riding around in a bathtub, serious swamp butt. If wind protection is important, the XMAX is a better option than the Forza in Thailand. Better ride quality and less fairing than the Forza but more wind protection than the ADV.
Amazing… I have a Honda CBR1000rr… a racing bike beast… and it only weighs what the ADV 350 weighs.
The CBR1000RR is a fun ride! 👊🏼
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple For sure. I bought mine when I was 68 years old… last year… and although I have been riding all my life, I wondered if I was crazy. After riding it for one minute, I realized it was the best purchase I have ever made!!! So much fun 🤩
You lost me when you said 750 is a "light street bike". I don't know ANY street bike heavier than that! This thing is a tank! Also the 350 must be the heaviest scooter in the category
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The X-ADV 750 feels like a light street bike to me. Its low center of gravity makes it feel similar to my CBR1000RR when I tip it over. The ADV 350 is about 10 lbs heavier than my XMAX 300; I cannot feel the weight difference. There is not a perceivable difference in weight between all of the 300-400cc scooters I've ridden. These motorbikes' low center of gravity makes them feel much lighter than they are.
Wish the US would get the 350
Yeah, me too.
Honda should make a 500cc X-ADV.
At 500cc, Honda could build it as a real scooter with CVT, making it much less expensive than the X-ADV 750.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple I’ve been thinking that 500 doesn’t give Honda any profit them because they still have Rebel,CB,CBR,CL,NX500
Which means their manual bikes will sell less.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple but, at the same time I want a cheap 471cc scooter
About 22x,xxx Baht bracket.
8:00 is this a factory windshield? Look a bit tall🤔
Yes, it's the factory windshield on both motorbikes.
ADV350 hands down but unfortunately not available in the United States. We can hardly find the ADV160 and our color choices are only a flat metallic red and it only has front disc brakes.
Americans are missing out on so many wonderful motorbikes.
Top box is needed bro, where you gonna put that box of Leo’s from the market😂
Right, Lol
If you can get hold of a Tmax do Xmax vs Tmax comparison, that's probably a better and closer comparison. One thing to bear in mind is wind and rain protection, head, body and legs. Xmax and Forza are better than any ADV in this respect, on 5 hour tour it makes a difference.
Interesting to hear the very much advertised for off-road XAdv is not so good off-road...!!! 😅
I can get a TMAX. The new XMAX has been a challenge to track down.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple yes, for sure also test drive the new Xmax, I heard they have improved a few things, specially the headlight that you, and many others, complained about...
But I really want to know if, like XAdv to Adv350, the Tmax is too heavy and cumbersome to manoeuvre to worth the extra power and speed, in comparison to Xmax...!?
Cool and scooters do not equate.
Only an American would say such blasphemy! 🛵
First things first , never ever heard someone pronouncing 350/750 so much per minute 🙄😵💫.
Now I think that 750 is overkill specifically in Thailand, I never had One but I had tmax and it was too much, I think that forza , adv and xmax are golden middle. 750 has only one advantage and it's a very long distance drive...
I was surprised to see so many big cc motorbikes cruising around Pattaya in this traffic and heat when I first moved here. .
