    A battery operated milk frother works too.

      yes it works quite well but unfortunately most people don't have this either so we just recommend to go for the traditional whisk

    I spent the money on an actual chasen(bamboo whisk). Matcha itself is already super expensive, so what was another $20? The difference is night and day.

      Yes I know what you mean! It makes a big difference but you don't appreciate it until you try it for yourself. If anyone ever needs a free whisk in the future, you can get one when you sign up for the monthly matcha club: nioteas.com/products/monthly-matcha-club-with-free-whisk-and-spoon

    I've used a metal whisk whilst making matcha and I do get the foam on top. I think it works for some, my trick it to use a tall and narrow glass (like a latte glass). Then rotating the whisk rapidly within the palms of your hands and this makes the foam settle nicely on top. Then just pour over your milk. Works every time for me so I don't think it's 100% necessary, especially if you cant buy a bamboo whisk, a metal one works just as well for me. But unfortunately I cant vouch for the taste, which is why I want to try a bamboo whisk to see if there is a difference in taste 🫗 🍵.

      I have seen people do this before and it seems like it works pretty well! If you want a free whisk, you can sign up for the monthly matcha club: nioteas.com/products/monthly-matcha-club-with-free-whisk-and-spoon

      What kind of metal whisk do you use? Have a lot of wires?

      @Felipe A tiny one - if you've seen binging with babish it's basically the tiny whisk. I find it really helps break down the powder so you get no lumps.

    I use this bamboo whisk but for some reason , I don’t get that sort of foam (premium matcha used ). Maybe I need to add more water? What is the matcha / water ratio?

      because of whisking too much matcha?

    DANGER! NEVER, SHAKE A HOT LIQUID IN A CLOSED CONTAINER!!!
    It makes pressure and explodes the lid, or explodes when you open it up (depending of the type of lid) burning everything around it.

    Metal in contact with matcha affects the flavor, why filter matcha ?

    • @Nioteas
      @Nioteas  Před rokem +1

      yes this we have heard. The filter removes the clumps that form in the matcha so it mixes in more evenly
