It's especially bizarre considering she's next to a free pump that she could've used instead.
She was pissed off because she couldn’t use the pump behind you because she can’t drive her car.
Spot on. There’s no reason she shouldn’t have been able to pull up next to that if she hadn’t passed her test in 1903
Exactly what I was thinking too
Yeah I was thinking why doesn't she just reverse a bit and square it up, even if she's on the wrong side they all reach over nowadays if you just park well. I'd have felt the need to politely point this out to her.
Hahaha facts!!!
literally lmao
I used to teach people to put petrol in when I was a driving instructor because I remembered how I felt the first time I had to in my own car when I passed and I had no clue how to do it. I also used to take my learners into multi storey carparks as I was never shown how to do those either. Well done for how you guys both handled the old bint. I don’t think I would have been so calm. I used to hand out a card with “the bosses” phone number on and when they rang to complain it was me they spoke to. 😂. One guy even phoned while he was having a go at me to tell me about how I was annoying him 🙈😂😂.

As a learner she will have to learn that Mercedes drivers own the roads.
Also AUDI drivers are allowed to tailgate and BMW drivers have permission to treat the roads as their personal racetracks.
Add a personal plate into the mix and you've got an impatient self entitled arsehole.
Everything you've said above is true 😅

What a lovely personality the learner girl has. Well done
very angry rude woman with not an ounce of consideration or respect for learners.we need less of those individuals on our roads.
She should get given an old crappy car because of this
If she's like this at a gas station, *towards a learner*, image what antics she gets up to on the road...
deffo a lane hoggertoo
She’s a Karen definitely. 😂
She's just mad that the learner has a higher ability to park up next to a pump than she does. If she'd made even the slightest effort to line her car up properly she could have been filling up with the pump that was next to her. She needs to cut up her licence and get a lobotomy.
The fact that she could have easily moved a bit more forward, straightened up and been fine is wild.
Yeah she was mad because she can't drive well enough to get next to a pump 😂
My thoughts exactly, I couldn't make out why she hadn't pulled into the lane properly to use the fuel pump behind the learner, she must be a crap driver with a big mouth !!
She's the one who needs lessons in how to use a petrol station correctly. She couldn't even pull up parallel to the pump behind!
The Merc was a bit too big for the salty lady
Exactly, the way she parked and then waited just shows that she’s clueless at driving. She has never been in an accident in all of the two years that she has been driving (and that adds up to nearly 280 miles) but she has seen lots in her rear view mirror!
She was literally sat there for 2 minutes wtf🤣
I feel like she just wanted to have a problem with the learner, the guy in the car next to her was taking longer, rude woman
Respect to you for showing her how to fill up 👍👍 my instructor didn't ahow me, i can remember my 1st time filling up i was more nervous about doing that than driving the actual car.
Right, same as me. And with those modern tight stations it's a good shunting training, too.
First time I had to fill the car up I didn't have a card with me (but did have android pay), took me like 5min to put money on that account that's linked to it because there's barely any data coverage there, luckily not a busy station so I didn't see any other person at all.
Instructors have the biggest hearts when it comes to learners. They always have their student's back because they've seen every shade of idiot on the roads
Hi, I’m an instructor and have been for over 20 years. Thankfully this sort of thing doesn’t happen too often round our way. But any time another road user shows aggression, it’s upsetting to our learners. Especially if they’re really young. And it’s not fare on them. Iv always got my pupils back and it’s my primary responsibility to protect them.
They are learning a life skill which is really really hard. People just need to learn patience!
But thank you for your kind words! 🙂👍🏻
So true. My instructor shouted at my neighbour once for parking right in front of us 💀
Shes only pissy cause shes incapable of manuvering her car properly to be able to use the pump behind Pin😂😂
thats what I was thinking, also there's multiple rows of pumps.
Exactly. And I would not have been nice about telling her that. Her husband having money to buy her that car means two things to me: Jack and sh!t.
Despite I started driving at 14 (I'm 33 now), I love watching learners actually learn on the road😂.
I usually do my best to not pressure them when I end up behind them leaving something like 5s gap between us.
My favorite memory was a learner trying to start uphill with his dad's car (dad was with him).
Unfortunately he kept stalling over and over and I could feel his embarrassment.
Dad gestured me like "please be patient🙏".
I just put a big smile, gave the 👍 like "oh it's ok, dont worry" and patiently waited.
You should have had Phoebe clean the windscreen, side windows, rear window, headlights, and tail lights after fueling when that lady started going off. Then take her inside and get snacks and drinks then pay for everything.
If she was in a hurry, she should have arrived at the petrol station earlier so she could afford to wait. No reason to take it out on the learner driving figuring out how to fill up the car for the first time. Essential life skill!
I would answer with everybody is in a hurry Karen
Thing is, there were empty pumps and space to leave, she inconvenienced herself by randomly waiting for them for some reason. Maybe she has a favourite pump that she somehow owns shares on lmao.
or she could have just used a different pump tbh if there was one available, and extended the hose to her side of the vehicle.
@@abdur3662 thats too much of an inconvenience tho
@@steve00alt70 better than waiting ages for a pump for your side to be available lol
The learner didn't take anymore time than anyone else! She just assumed so because they were chatting. Probably the type of woman that gets impatient with disabled and elderly people at the tills.
Flashback moment - just reminded me of a time I was at a morrisons checkout, a lady with learning difficulties in front of me, an elderly couple behind.
The lady was having a little trouble getting her card to work and profusely apologising and you could tell she was getting anxious/embarrassed so I just gave her a smile and said nothing.
I start hearing tutting and "for fk sake" from the couple behind me and not 60s later they start shouting through me "hurry tf up, we're in a rush, you're taking the piss" etc etc.
There were checkouts either side of us and a self service just crying out to be used.
The poor lad on the tills tried to take the blame, saying he was sorry and it was his fault - which they called bs on and kept berating the poor lady, all while getting puzzled looks from everyone around them.
I so wish I had said something in the moment but I was just so taken aback by the vileness of these two sweet looking elderly people behind me, I was looking around for some ventriloquist voodoo going on.
People just never fail to surprise and (at times) disgust me with their narcissism and lack of empathy.
Part of the me, me and only me group of very important people.
The thing that baffles me about all of this is Karen is sat right next to a free petrol pump 😂
Also, she literally didn't take that long and if the pump was on the other side she could have gone to a different pump or reversed it in.
Absolute fucking lemon 😂
7:48 - might be worth telling her there is a convenient 'cap-holder' built into the opening filler flap, that is designed to accept the cap to stop any drips going down the bodywork, and dirt from getting getting on the cap
I was looking for this comment! A lot of (older?) cars don't even have a cable, or they used to, but it got brittle and snapped.
I was used to driving my dad's old Toyota with a nice chunky holder like in the video, but then I bought a Volvo, and it only has the tiniest little hook. It works fine, but it doesn't really look like anything if you've only ever seen the holder. The cable was broken, too, so I was very confused when I first went to fill it up 😅 "I'll just put this... on the ground, I guess".
And then there is my 2017 Honda CR-V what doesn’t have a cap at all! But I need to pull a lever inside to open the door! - can’t open it any other way!

Typical narcissist
By the looks of her manoeuvring to a pump, where there was plenty of space, she needs to go back into a learner vehicle
she needs to get her license taken if she can't even properly position herself to the pump right next to her. there was more than enough space
is she stupid or something cuz was she at the same spot of learning how to drive to get her license but i guess her old age make her stupid & be a dumb Karen to be rude

If someone like that is behind me at the petrol pump, I usually get the urge to buy a few essentials in the shop (milk, bread, maybe some herbal tea bags), look at the newspapers / magazines (not just the pictures - I really like to read articles to really drill down into the finer detail), treat myself to a latte (with a few sugars and a nice long stir) and finally, have a cheeky smoke just off the forecourt, before continuing on with my journey. And now she has to learn another valuable life lesson. Whenever anybody is like this, learn to take your time, as long as possible.
A few hints;
Wipe away any excess dribbles from the car, bin paper towel, get another and polish it.
When you go to pay, open your car door and lean in and do absolutely nothing but make it look like you're doing something.
Examine your tyres and consider if they need topping up with air.
Re-open your car door and grab any rubbish you have for the bin.
Before you go to pay, just double check the pump to make sure you have the correct amount of fuel.
Go to kiosk, check the drinks fridge and snack shelf. Buy nothing. Pay for fuel.
Most importantly, when you come back and if you haven't filled the tank, stick another tenner in and repeat previous steps.
Drop your keys a couple of times on the way back to the car. Spot your shoelace is untied as you get into the car, swivel your feet out again and retie them. Jump back out and clean your windows before setting off. Get in the car, jump out again because you forgot to clean the mirrors. I could be there all day.
I still get anxiety putting fuel in. I just hate people! The silly nobhead trying to rush her. Everything a learner does in a learner car should be taken with care and patience. It's why they're called Learners. Big clue there!!
Anxiety, the fun killer, or life`s horrid little devil?
A common experience for many, can indeed be managed through controlled breathing techniques.
4-4-6 Breathing Technique:
Inhale: Breathe in deeply through your nose for a count of four.
Hold: Pause and hold your breath for a count of four.
Exhale: Slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of six.
This technique encourages mindfulness, helps regulate the autonomic nervous system, and promotes a sense of calm. By focusing on your breath, you can reduce anxiety and stress.
Remember, everyone’s experience with anxiety is unique, and different techniques work for different people. If you find this method beneficial, incorporate it into your daily routine. 🌿🌟

This learner is so giggly and nervous it’s endearing. I also still hate filling up and get really nervous 😭 mostly because people can be so impatient and it’s just somehow embarrassing if I’m hesitating about filling it up too much.
Edit: watching this video is so funny as well, the lady is so dramatic? Your learner wasn’t even slow, she filled up in pretty much the same time as a qualified driver. She’s got some serious issues with impatience lmao.
The learner puts herself down too much. It's normal and expected to make mistakes when learning a complex new skill. I think she loses focus when she puts herself down. It's counterproductive.
The gloves thing is a good idea we don’t have that here in Canada. Sometime your hands smell like gas’s after filling up.
Well Done Phoebe for learning a Manual (Stick).
The view of your footwork on the clutch and accelerator was great! You will be a competent driver - Correction, you are already a competent driver!
You can see at least one other pump was free. She was bored
Not bored just a typical narcissist boomer spoiling for a fight.
@@Luton-Mick Oi! Leave us Millwall Boomers alone,My Son. I enter my 8th decade in 15 days.
She could not maneouvre the car behind and took it out on Phoebe.
Honestly I hate people when they’re like that, she was just an impatient driver that hasn’t got any respect for learners.
It’s not like it’s busy or anything as she could’ve gone to another pump.
Yes we all been there, part of learning to drive, well done 👍
There is a holder on the inside of your fuel filler flap that holds the fuel cap so you don't have to leave it dangling.
Pin and the girl laughing at almost running someone over 🤣🤣😂
I did say we shouldn’t have laughed 😂
That was the funniest bit lol
It was mega wholesome🙌🏼
I passed my test first time with two minors today thanks to binge watching your videos. Thank you so much🙏
Wow I never knew that about the fuel symbol! Wonder if my bike has one too? 🤣
every second of her live is precious ! she needs to hurry because she has an appointment at the nail bar
FYI. The fuel cap sits in the back of the flap. There's a bracket on the back specifically designed for this purpose.
Did the reg on the Mercedes read “COW”??? Well near enough 😂😂😂😂
Just repeat "Why are you making us take longer if you're in a hurry" over and over
I wish I’d known how to put petrol in when I was learning to drive past my test and was terrified when I had to put petrol in the damn thing 😂 I think the old wife in the merc was jealous of the beautiful young girl and what a lovely instructor.
Well done for standing up for your learner nice to show that you have your learners back
Typical merc drivers. Impatient on and off the road. 😂
Most females that drive these dont even know the engines a renault clio..
@@yurp7903aren't you clever? What a strange thing to say 😭
@@yurp7903”females”
@@lexm17 how come you get offended by females but males is ok for everyone
@@yurp7903So you think the males are aware of which models incorporate a Renault engine but female drivers are not? Lots of women are petrol heads too you know. As for the twat in this video I’d have sat at the pump for a good while after browsing the petrol station.
Proba to the learner for not getting panicked. I know a lot of people who fear this kind of interaction because they feel like they're constantly bothering others
I once got annoyed at a student driver and honked the horn at them for like 10 seconds and honestly still regret it cause I could have just done a polite little beep. Long story short… Got stuck behind this student driver on a single lane road with no pullovers or passing lanes for about 2-miles and they were going 5-10 miles under the speed limit - no problem, I was patient and even remembering when I learned to drive. We get to an intersection with a 4-way stop and she stops at the white line, accelerates and sees a car coming from another direction and hits her breaks super hard before fully going through, leaving half the car sticking out and blocking traffic for me and those coming from the left. I remind myself she’s learning and remain patient. We then approach an intersection with traffic lights, light is green and for no reason she stops right in the middle of the intersection again - which is when I lost it and honked the horn. Didn’t yell or gesture - I don’t do that; but I did make her and her mom nervous cause I could tell as we continued down the road. Anyways; think I was most annoyed at the mom for not using a parking lot to teach her kid first 🙄
Some might find it funny - was driving a Mercedes at the time; so can already imagine the kid telling her friends and them being like, “oh, that’s the typical Merc, BMW, and Audi driver” 😆 …which I really am not and strive to be good when I’m out and about.
It's situations like that where I suddenly choose to do 5 mins of shopping in the store :D
