  • For the final large siren of the event, we set off Coen's 3T22. Although this was no different than any other 22 I've heard, it was a little unnerving watching it jolt forward every time power was given to it. Enjoy!

    1:57, lets put a metal tool inside of it whilst its running, not a bad idea at all

      My idea. There’s a screen covering the air inlet protecting the chopper from birds or whatever, the tool couldn’t have gone straight into the rotor

    What inside the inside of the motor of one of these things look like? I can't find very much of anything on them! I mean I'm pretty sure they're like any induction motor (unless they're impulsion) the voltage and torque they can go for is pretty impressive!

      Like any other 3ph 10hp motor. Dual shaft at least.

    480 volt?

    • @seanjuth
      @seanjuth Před rokem

      240. Would’ve wired it for 480 V, But the torque would’ve caused it to rip out the parts of that truck that it was strapped into

      What does a T22 unit sound like on 480 VS 240? Any pitch difference?

      @@seanjuth Ahh, I see now. I think Adrian Missouri Did that with the two of their T22 units, Can't remember if they're both 3Ts or 2Ts, may be one of each. But I've listened to the ambience of them, and it sounds like one starts up faster than the other. Possible one must be wired for 240 and the other 480? Either that or the unit winding up slower could be a B series, but it wound up slightly faster than how a B-series unusually sounds when winding up, so I don't think it is, but I could be wrong. Always wanted to know what the insides of the t22 motors look like, but I can never find any images of them sadly. Anyways, thank you!
