  • In this clip from episode 272, Coach Rhule gets into what it was like losing the Athletic Director, Trev Alberts, that brought him to Nebraska. Trev took a new job at Texas A&M and Rhule talks about what the hiring process was like finding a new AD. Rhule also gives his opinion on how he believes NIL should work. He brings up really good points and makes you wonder why it isn't run that way in the first place.

And yes, this is the podcast where Mike Vrabel said he'd cut his piece off for a Super Bowl.

Amazing the stark difference between what Rule is doing at Nebraska and what Sanders in doing at CU. Rhule was a program changing hire!

I love Matt and I can see him getting NU back to a level of prominence in 2-3 years and then leaving to do one final coaching job at Penn State where his buddy is AD and they offer him 15 mil a year...that's the reality of our times...

I mean, how can you not highly respect Coach Ruhle. For me, the priority is not agreeing with everything he might do or say, his heart and mind have very high values. He's sincere and doesn't beat around the bush. I hope through prayer that he's at Nebraska for a loooooooong time!!! GBR!

I mean he's decent for the college game. He fleeced the nfl though and looked weak as a coachat the top

Good riddance to albert. How is he not into NIL when in this day and age it’s the most important subject matter. Fancy stadium and football facility is not gonna win u games…players do…good players… so go get them

Schools don’t pay players yet (on paper), boosters pay via NIL, strong programs with wealthy alumni bases will make it all happen right now but even a massive school like Nebraska needs help from the fans/alumni and a good coach like Rhule for a few years to rebuild it all

Revenue sharing is coming. As someone was said, when I give you a loaf of bread, I want a sandwich back.

People act like Trev didn’t leave before he was gonna get fired. Sexual harassment and abuse is a pretty serious subject.

I chuckle because colleges teach more socialism than capitalism. But in order to win in college sports, you have to practice capitalistic methods-a dog-eat-dog mentality. The NFL, in a capitalistic market, takes a socialistic approach, where no one is allowed to be better than anyone else; that creates parity.
