What happened to this one-time leading lady that caused her to disappear from movie screens? Sure, she’s done some other projects since her last success in The Place Beyond the Pines, but none of it was nearly as popular as the work she did in her heyday. Let’s take a look at the real reason Hollywood hasn’t been casting Eva Mendes as much in recent years.

Carol Danvers the mere fact she has such a myopic focus on her family and a desire to keep the kids away from one of creepiest, most soul sucking industries on earth is no indicator of sexism. She has no need to be supported by any man. She is empowered miles above average and as discussed in the video, has several irons in the fire making money without acting. Having worked as a major crimes detective and past member of an interagency multidisciplinary team responsible for investing crimes against children, perhaps my experience has me biased, but dedicated parents like her seem all too rare in the world today.
Yeah, and as far as Hollywood not putting her in movies, who cares. Its not as if she's hurting for cash, and avoiding Hollywood is probably better for anyone's psyche anyway!

I love Eva and i think she's a beauty and talented, funny that this popped up while i'm watching her on "Hitch", i definitely think that she would do great taking on some more comedic type of roles, but it seems like she's doing great regardless, so good for her.
Ciclopea2 she should have been a rom com queen after Hitch! She's actually really funny and silly, judging by interviews.
She was perfect on that movie, played that jaded career driven afraid to love again type of character to perfection and kept it funny making her a relatable and probably her best role, she can play complex characters, but add some comedy and she will be brilliant, if she hasn't worked with people like Woody Allen, she should :)
I'd also love to see her in another horror or suspense thriller/ mystery, she so versatile I can see her playing any part honestly.

I met Ryan Gosling during the making of this movie. I live near Schenectady, N.Y. and worked at Planet Fitness. Ryan came in and I signed him to a month-long membership. I said, "Hey, you look like the guy from...from...the NOTEBOOK!" He was super cool! Great guy.

This channel seems to assume an actress will be on the A list forever. Nor do they take into account Hollywood ageism or sexism. If you notice, when most of these actresses start to age or hit 40, whichever comes first, their career is over. This rings true of actresses like Eva who made a career out of her looks. She's a decent actress and too bad she never was able to break the sexy, young seductress stereotype otherwise her career would have lasted longer. Any actress over 40 pretty much is considered a "serious actress". Eva tried serious actress" far too late.

Its harder on actresses to get work as they get older.she is still beatiful but she was not a serious actress ,like angelina jolie.she mostly got b actor roles.angelina was a better actress and thats why she was given better roles.eva mostly played just the young sex pot roles.they are close to the same age.angelina will be 43 in june and eva will be 44 in march 2018.once you start getting older in your 40s and up you cant play the young sex pot anymore. Angelina is working more behind the scenes being a producer just like brad.evas movies probally didnt sell that well to the public.its all about the money.if your movies dont sell after a few of them they will use younger women or women that are older but still bring in the public to see the movies.thats what happens to most of them eventually.as you they get older people dont go to see their movies like they did when they were younger.
