Super Stellar Friday - How NH-built Sensors Took Mankind to the Moon, and Other Challenges of Temperature Measurement for Space Exploration
Since its formation in 1955, RdF has supported every manned U.S. space mission including Alan Shepard’s famed Mercury Redstone 3 flight, the Apollo moon landing, space shuttle missions, and more with temperature sensor technology built in Hudson, NH. The company will present its history of contribution to human space exploration and look ahead to NASA’s upcoming Artemis missions and return to the Moon, as well as demonstrate some of the challenges its designs help overcome through the extremes of launch and the harsh environment of space.
Shyang Puri is the Marketing Manager at RdF, where her primary role is to connect systems designers with engineered solutions to their temperature measurement concerns. Prior to assuming this position, she worked up the ranks at NBC, going from giving tours of TV studios to an Emmy-nominated investigative reporter. She holds degrees from the Royal College of Music, London, and the Johns Hopkins University.
