Much love
Gami - Hudba
Thank you very much for your support, great video 💙
you make amazing music
Great video man thank you for the tutorial !
a genre based on nature found ambiance and grainy textures, soothing and laid back. That's neat
The fact that once again Porter Robinson influenced a whole generation of producers to create a trend in electronic music puts a big smile on my face lol
deadass! crazy how he is moving in such a conservative and typical direction with the new album, but i'm excited to see what people get hooked on next lol
How is this influenced by Porter Robinson? What song or album is this from?
@@johnsherfey3675 Nurture. nothing sounded like Nurture before Nurture besides like MAYBE Onoken or Feryquitous but that’s artcore, porter is the first to take artcore sounds and mix it with pop production
@@johnsherfey3675 Just check out the whole album if you haven’t yet. honestly a life changing experience. don’t listen to his new shit tho if you want an accurate representation of who he is as an artist imo
@@johnsherfey3675 the whole botanica thing stems from producers wanting to separate themselves from the people saying their music had "nurture vibes". Nurture is the album that really pushed this style of electro-pop influenced by organic sounds and creative sound design.
Porter Robinson did not created the genre in itself, I mean he's also really influenced by guys like Bon Iver and Masakatsu Takagi, but he is the one that made it "mainstream" or at least more popular. And it's after Nurture was out that Botanica appeared even tho many producers didn't really listened to Nurture they had the same influences as Robinson.
this genre of music feels like seeing a past family member or loved one in your dreams. I love it so much
Had to get the Birkenstocks out for this one
birkenstocks are the main instrument for botanica😌
Something I really like about this genre is how different it can be from person to person due to how focused on what plugins you have and how you do sound design. I've seen people do huge melodic beautiful noisy covolution reverb and string heavy crackly sweeps that are more about texture and movement of hamrony than any pulse or melody and then I see stuff like yours which has vocals and heavily featured chopped up and pretty melodic loops.
isn't that basically every genre though? It's all going to be determined by what your tools are and how you use them. If you do everything in Hardware your dubstep will probably have a very different character to VR's dubstep or something
I've been making this style of music for years now and have gotten very deep into it! I didn't know it had a name. I was inspired by Monster Rally and The Caretaker among others.
Thanks for making this, I feel less silly for wasting a million hours on my music!!
bro the old ass kalimba 🔥, btw this genre fits your vibe perfectly, reminds me of song like "Places"
This track is fire bro 🫡
I'm gonna have to listen to more of Botanica/Petalcore in order actually identify it properly as a genre cause I was hearing a ambient lo-fi hiphop track with less drums.
botanica
we are taking botanica seriously now phritz
botanica
botanica
botanica
botanica
this really how it be when you make a banger. dance party the whole time. Really enjoyed this and your style made it even better.
It sounds a lot like a natural progression from Porter Robinson's Nurture album
Thats what i found in. My research too but apparently it goes back a couple years further
@@gamivibes It goes back at least a decade, if not much further. Japan was doing it in the 2000s/2010s with artists like Kashiwa Daisuke, and I'm sure the western ambient scene also had stuff like this as well.
@@smoli yeh i mean you could go back to 70s when there was things like; mort garsons - plantasia, hiroshi yoshimura- green among many great newage-ambient records. but more modern inclinations on the sound through the 2000s and 2010s you had a mad collection of brilliant (mostly japanese) Artists like [.que], otograph, cokiyu, kidkanevil, mamerico, dom mino, serph, shlohmo, etc., Also in south America you have artists like barrio lindo, sidirum, populous, nicolous jaar or western stuff like four tet, jilk, natureboyflako, green kingdom, xela. but yeh these have subtle differences and this new crop prob got going around ~2017 but its all intertwined.
meltycanon has been doing this style since 2016

Damn bro the yellow background with the Kalimba... took me right back to your older videos. So proud of you for how far you come n how much work you put in... 🥲 You were the reason I started music production n I've never looked back since. Much love man ❤

Hearing some great things about this genre. Excited to listen more and hopefully make some myself!
I’ve been subscribed for a long time but haven’t checked in in a minute! Brother this sound is unbelievable. I love this idea of “sound collages”. Really wanna tap in and try this out.
This just inspired me so much! I'm at the place where I'm sick of making basic beats and this fits my vibe. Much love!

To anyone who enjoys this genre or porter robinson should check out tennyson's music, specifically telescope ep and like what ep. He's in my opinion a foundational influence on the botanica/petalcore like genre

Not a lot of people know this but my friend Chiba is the one who claimed petalcore, I haven't watched the video yet so I'm not sure if he was mentioned but whenever he was in a discord call, I'd watch his screen and he'll give me tips on certain things, I highly recommend that you guys support him and every other artist in this scene. He's actually helped me work on my album that hasn't been released yet but I just want to say that it's been amazing seeing this style of music grow.

wowww 🤩🤩🤩
Sounds close to Solarpunk, or Frutiger Aero
Ever since I came across this genre, the vibes of Frutiger Aero/Eco & Solarpunk has come up for me as well.
Cool 😎 ✨️👍🏽✨️
fye
From how it sounds you could almost assume the "genre name" originated from the Soundtracks of the Game "Botanicula"
Actually came from Phritz, who tried to differenciate from "nurture vibes" referencing to Porter Robinson's album while remaining true to the original idea of using nature soundscapes and organical sound design
What are those vocal settings bro 🔥
That kalimba go so hard
Good tutorial, I will have a go at it tonight.
Are you a german brother?
You have a very slight accent at the beginning I thought I had misheard it.
Wonderful studio by the way
Thanks, yes im german actually
@@gamivibes hey thanks for answering,
I'm always happy when people from my country succeed internationally with entertainment that isn't filth, it gives me hope for the artists in my community.
I wish you good luck with your creations, prosperity and happiness
