Very good review. Nice to see you testing them in less than ideal conditions, ie with a battery drill with the bit maybe not as square to the work as in the mill or pillar drill.
Thanks John! I think my drills are of the same kind. You use a good piece of round material, drilling all those holes. Do You think of drilling a long hole inside the rod and make a flute? You spend a lot of stock. Joking.
They look fairly robust John, the grind was obviously better than some I have seen from China, maybe you got a Tuesday set, instead of a Friday afternoon set! I was not so lucky, I got Friday afternoon mill. Cheers, Jon
Hi John, good test on the Drill bits, rocol is good stuff as well, thanks for the video, look after yourselves, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
John. Great review. I'm trying to find the toolpost with quick changers you reviewed a while back need the item number or the link to the video so you get some coin
"Drills are consumables and don't last forever"?? I have three sets of metric Dormer drills ranging from 1.5mm up to 10.3mm in 0.5mm steps that I got in 1970, I'm still using them. Apart from the occasional sharpening they are still 100% usable!
I used some of the 3.2mm ones to drill a few hundred holes, only broke it on the last hole where it was an awkward angle. Drilled out rivets in stainless steel, got about 10 holes per drill bit, while with HSS it was 2 per bit.
When I was an apprentice [about fifty years ago] I did well in my end of year exams and my Father brought me a AEG drill, when they were still made in Germany and it still works like a champion. There was no reverse of course but you learn to live with that and you were always very careful as any lapse in concentration could cause a broken wrist as it has so much power. Recently brought some drills [bits] from local [Australia] 'box store' also AEG, they are shit ! Of course they are 'badge engineered' from China and I got what I paid for, lesson learned ? Just so sad to see a 'name brand' like AEG brought so low by the consumer driven market place, just one example of course but there are a lot of brands going the same way ? You used to be able to buy just on the name itself, after you got over the shock of the price of course, but you knew you were getting quality ? Sorry about the 'old man rant', all the best from Aussie !!
I read an article a few years back about Dewalt. They were interviewing some high level manager who said their current market studies showed their consumers were more interested in low price than long life/quality, so that was what they were changing their products to conform to! I’ve had several new Dewalt tools at work and for personal use over the last few years, and I can say that at least 3 of them are the sorriest power tools I’ve ever used! A hammer drill, cordless grinder, and a 20 volt cordless drill. All pure shit!
I agree with you. Unfortunately companies sell their sole to the devil for short term profits ruining their good name. Then they have to buy up another brand to ruin. I no longer trust many name brands any more because they are just cheep junk and slapping a sticker on it.
Thanks John certainly seems like a good buy.
Thanks John
As always a great review. I like your reviews because I know I can trust them.
Cracking set of drills John. Thanks for the great review
Great review john, keep'um coming.
Great video John. Good info. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the honest review John. I’ve just found your channel through this video, and you have just earned a new subscriber!
What surprised me was how true they ran !

Honest John, or another real world use/review.
Thanks for sharing.
Good test John, decent value.
Thanks John! I think my drills are of the same kind.

John can you do a video on how you sharpen drill bits? Cheers
I thought this might be boring. It was actually drilling. Think I'll add these to my shopping list!
Thanks, John.
Good workout with those bits. Say John, hows the weather over on your side of the pond. You look dressed for it to be chilly. Thanks.

John,
About 50p a drill, quite a good deal.
Take care

Thanks John. I’ve been really pleased with all the Banggood cutting tools I’ve had so far.
Nice honest review John
Those drills from bang good seem to be good tack

Good bargin John should used one of
the very small ones

I thought this might become dull but it stayed sharp. Love the vids John.
Interesting how the stringy bits did not happen without the pilot hole
They look ok to me.
I bought bang good drill bits before and they wouldn’t drill through butter
👍
Probably can't get them in sae. :-/
🙂👍
At first I thought things would spiral out of control, but it all stayed on point.
as per brill
You should measure a drill bit across the flutes. Never seen a hole drilled with a shank so that size is not relevant.
may be you didn t now you dont mesare a dril at the shaft but over the top of the cutting edges {::

Forgot to mention that I was an apprentice 41 years ago!
