    * 명반(백반) 구입처 : 약국 / 약 500원~800원
    * 모루(철사) 구입처 : 문방구 / 500원
    * 식용색소 구입처 : shopping.naver.com/search/all....
    (네이버에 식용색소 수용성이라고 검색하시면 나옵니다!)
※This video has subtitles. (I wrote at the bottom as well)
If you want to know how to make, why certain scenes are there, please click subtitle to check out~!
    Hello! It's Jerrypop :D
Today I've made crystals using alum!
I think Alum crystal is a little more prettier than Borax crystal!
But the color of alum crystal fades a ways as time goes, and the crystal turns into yellow so it's not pretty anymore after time passes.
There's comparing section at the end of the video so please check out!
(Borax Crystal stayed the same but maybe we need to watch it for longer?)
Enjoy my video and have a sweet night!
*Where to buy alum : Pharmacy / about 500~800won
(There are some people mistake borax from boric acid but just say bo! rax!)
*Where to buy (steel) wire : Stationary store/ 500 won
    * Where to buy food color : shopping.naver.com/search/all.... (Search water soluble food color from Naver)
■■■ How to make alum crystal ■■■
*Materials : Cup, Spoon, Food Coloring, Fishing line (you can you thread instead), alum, Wood Chopstick, Wire
① Make wire circle. (You can do other shapes)
② Tie wire with fishing line. (You can use thread instead)
③ Tape fishing line (which wire is tied) to wood chopstick.
    ④ Pure alum into a cup. (100g)
⑤ Pour 200ml hot water and stir it for about three minutes. Alum water needs to be mixed very well in order to make it into crystals compare to borax. I mixed and stirred it for more than 5 minutes.)
⑥ Add more than 20 drops of food coloring and mix it well. (The more you put the more color it will have.)
⑦ Put wire into the borax water and wait for 12 hours.
(Never let wire to touch the bottom)
~If you finish number 7, the basic crystal making is done! But if you want to make a bigger one like me, please proceed ahead.
⑧ Pour borax water in to stainless cup (that you will trash) and put the cup into a pot with water. Boil it at a low temperature.
(I heard you can use a glass cup but since it can break, I used stainless cup)
⑨ When it starts to smoke from the alum water, put one spoon of alum
and mix it well. Turn off the gas.
⑩ Cool it for one hour.
(Until when you put your hand near and doesn't feel heat anymore.)
⑪ Put Crystal into alum water and wait for 12 hours.
(Never let wire to touch the bottom)
The end! Dry the crystal for 12 hrs. (Where no sun lights are coming)
(I put it on flyers for three hrs to dry. If you put it on napkin to dry, or wash it by water, the color disappears!)
If you repeat ⑧~⑪ , the crystal gets bigger. But as the size gets bigger, the more crystal become weaker so the chances of it breaking is higher. So I recommend you not repeating for more than two times!

I don't think that will work, no.
They've used food colouring to tint them, and food colouring WILL fade over time no matter what...as it's not meant to be permanent, after all.
What might work better is if something like ink or dye was used, like a cloth dye or even a leather dye if you have some...but that shit is expensive as hell, lol!
Maybe try a few drops of india ink, (doesn't come in a lot of colours, but though expensive, it is good concentrated stuff) which you can get from any good art supplies shop, or maybe even a good craft shop if you're lucky.
It just needs to be something better than food dye, and you should be good. :)
