I actually like the green lamp when I seen it I went wow loved it. Today first time to watch your show.
I love watching this show and seeing all the different items .Thankyou for sharing 😘
Mark Moran is wonderfull .Not pretensions but down to earth .Would love to meet him .An interesting man .
Little wax doll gorgeous !!!
Sweetest child's rocker Lovely !
Aren't they expquisite !! My sentiments exactly !! Carving superb
Beautifull blue porcelain bird and nest bowl with lid !!! Fabulous hey
Omg....my parents had this lamp in orange😂😂love it!
I must disagree in regard to the green glass 70s lamp .I personally think the glass section is fabulous and also like the base .There would be value in the glass alone and with a replacement top of quality fabric to match and enhance the lamp I think it could look fantastic in the right setting .Here in Australia I think you could get anywhere from $100 and over .We call it litch and these types of items are collectible and will continue to be so into the future .I love the green glass ! Thankyou Susan Oliver 2022 .😘
Randolph, Wowza I'm in Randolph, shoot I missed ya. thanks for vids :) I am learning so much.
I must say Mr Moran works very hard .Like I said before a great guy in my opinion .
I think too it's about keeping the collective mind alive and practising as well 👌
Sorry, totally disagree about the 70s lamp. They are hot right now. I just sold a 1960s/70s green ceramic swag lamp in medium condition for $150 to a local customer who is going for MCM decor in his house. I gave him a deal. It could easily have gone for double that on the appropriate online site. And the fact that the guy only found amber examples and no green adds to the rarity. And he had what looks like the original kitschy shade!
I agree. Those glass lamps and the kitschy items from that time are adored by my generation, gen x. Also, if you pay attention to trendy fashion, you would know that the 1970's are hot right now with the younger generations. Now I have noticed that boomers really dislike the whole groovy flower power kitschy look so it makes sense why he reacted the way he did but he needs to know that the boomers are dying off and my generation is starting to dominate which means more late 60's and 1970's are in demand and with the kids diggin on it, I think the demand will grow. Those glass lamps have been popular (especially the swag) for a long time in Portland Or where I was born but now I live in Phoenix (wah wah) where people aren't as in to vintage and antiques so they're easier to find at a cheaper price. Lots of factors.
Wonderfull 3d cards ECT !
It's not necessarily about monitory value but about what was produced and how things were made and what they reflect about society and individuals at the time of making .I think ☺️
The word was diminishes Not Dom Mishra I don't know how I managed to type that in .☺️👌
I meant to say Kitch ! Not meant to go with IKEA but as I say in the right indoor setting .Wonderfull minus the shade! 😘
What I find interesting is the fact that an item was made in a particular time .Be it the 17 th century or the 20th cent .😘
That green lamp was SO ugly that I think it a fine example of early camp! Just hysterical! 🤣😂🤣
My father in law, has that same green lamp, in his house, and it is a piece, that everyone talks about, so he keep it in living room it keep people. Talking 🤷🏻♀️
Ahh it's actually glass !
So many interesting items have been dumped or whatever because people didn't see any value in them hey .I love antiques and artwork porcelain metal ware ECT and appreciate high quality items but also see an unrecognised area such as I've mentioned previously .😘
The lamp? One just sold recently for $120 - Summer 2022.
A lot of these items will become more valuable in time be it a lot of time.As the market Dom Mishra in terms of demand for older things the value will grow. Its about an up n coming market that is not necessarily about super valuable items but items from a period of you know what I mean .I would encourage people to keep these types of so called cheaper items as these days so much is cheap Chinese rubbish but a lot of these items are interesting from the point of view that they come from different places ECT .Sad if people throw them away or break them ECT .All things of age have value in my opinion .zTime is of the essence .☺️👌
Sad that Occupied Japan's are not worth much. In the 1960's I bought many and thought they would be worth big bucks one day. I have a lot of them.
Obviously not to be compared to Tiffany or Meissan or Moorcroft ECT
But as I say all things have some value over time .An expression of the times .Let's face it we can't all squire or afford the ultimate best .😘
Misspells colander.
The cards do have value even though they are in the scrapbook .Just to be able to see them and for them to be so old .The professional market appraisals fail to place value on them .I and others would pay money for them .Don't diss things just cause they are not perfect !
Don't dolls in unopened cartons have more value? The green lantern is kinda cute. Would be much more attractive in Ocean Blue or Red Purple. Or even clear glass. BUT the metal for the 3 colors must be chrome or silver. The lampshade is 100% hideous.
Mr. Moran does not know the value of MIDCENTURY MODERN!!
