This was a good, well spoken video that showed how a veteran Hollow Knighter viewed the game. Would’ve been interesting to see any criticism for the game, or what you hope Silksong improves on. But perhaps that would be for a more critical analysis of the game
People should definitely NOT criticize the game just because they can’t play it well it takes time and effort like everything else You did amazing the video is awesome!!
Hollow Knight was great and I really appreciate its goods. Personally, I found the movement amazing and really enjoyed combat and platforming, but the path of pain was just making me angry because I had to do half the way again after dieing after a certain amount of failed attempts. So I never finished it. Also, I personally really dislike boss rushes, so the God DLC is absolutely not my thing. What sold the game for me was, how the world felt while exploring. I remember reaching Deepnest not the normal way, but by breaking a floor somewhere above it where I fell down all the way into the 'spa' with the bench in deepnest. That feeling of dread and excitement about finding something mysterious on your own is my biggest pleasure while playing any games. Thats why I love Souls games so much, too because they can give me the same vibe. For me, Hollow Knight was by far no masterpiece, but it was damn, damn entertaining and I would count it as one of my favourite experiences in gaming. Looking forward for the next vid :)

Bruh, I'm eventually gonna make like an hour long video as to why Hollow Knight is one of the greatest games ever created. There are SO many things you missed that make this game something extremely special. At a surface level, this was a pretty good video. I put around 500 hours into this game lol.

@@Reinoiro I suppose it could sound condescending, but I suppose that's also because I've watched a lot of videos on Hollow Knight and they ALL miss a lot of stuff that makes Hollow Knight stand out beyond other Metroidvanias.Whether it's a small video or not, the details of what makes Hollow Knight special were not brought up. As stated, if you're talking about Hollow Knight without bringing up these details, you haven't even scratched the surface of what makes this game special. With that said, while I one day plan to make a video on this, he actually made one now. He's got me there, at least he's actually done it.
I love hollowknight, the bosses story gameplay etc. But. I HATE forgotten crossroads, your slow everything is hard to find bc you can walk in circles for years (you don’t have wayward charm yet) This comes from someone who has 111% (can’t find that last percent, I will one day lol) and has over 200+ hours on a single file has beaten the path of pain and has gotten all the binding on up to “The Knight” boss rush. I’m not kidding when I say I would rather do the flower quest 5x over again than have to do the forgotten crossroads.
Perhaps I will give Hollow Knight a chance... especially considering it's available on Xbox Game Pass... 💚 But in all seriousness, this video was great and detailed, and if you keep this content going, I'd be glad to be part of the BlueBabbage gang! 💙🥬💯

Hollow Knight and Blasphemous are some of the best Metroidvania genre games that have come out in the last couple years and still are today imo.
