There are few voices that are so pure and real that even the simplest of melodies sound like a symphony. This amazing woman has one. I was rared in a house that was filled with Delores voice. And now many year's later my eyes fill with happy tears to hear her beautiful soulfull voice singing these songs again. How lucky we are to have an amazing Irish woman like Delores.
I brought this record ten years ago. I cry all the time when I listen this version of song. Yes, I agree with you, Dolores is the best. but it is fail when I share to my facebook, the message shows "flash objects must have the 'source' and 'picture' attributes". and the song title is "Heart like a wheel". anyway, thank you so much.
Mary Black’s live rendering in 1979 sound the most anguished, like she is living out this heartbreak on stage, not merely singing it. (And I have even heard the original composers singing it live in a small auditorium…)
