A day in the life video blog of a plumber and gas engineer Please let me know in the comments anything you’d like to see or if my videos should be shorter ✌🏼
Fitted loads of them surestops. You give loads of tips and helped me out so I'll give one back. Run the surestop tubes in the electrical plastic trunking. I had a job where a customer snagged one in a cupboard. water everywhere 🙈 plus it looks better than those grey clips. I learnt that tip the hard way 🙈
Your videos are great bud, you can’t please all of the people all of the time. Love anything tool related and your description of what job you’re carrying out is top notch. Keep up the good work!
That bit with the pump washer was me last week, 100% seen two in the box but god only knows where the bugger went, just had to use one fibre on it! Quite happy to see I’m not the only one !
Ha ha The old three thirty four o clock disappearing tool and part time .. its a classic mate and well know in this trade .. I feel your pain buddy !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
think the vid length is spot on as a plumber/gas engineer it's nice to see and pick up any other tips that have passed me by keep it up nice to see another plumber who takes pride in there work and has slight ocd like me lol, keep it up pb
Videos are great 👍. As a plumber myself I’m finding them extremely interesting to see what other plumbers are doing. And I love the mixed bag of tools and jobs. Keep them coming
Like the positive attitude to work and progression attitude towards new ideas and tools and methods . Many thanks for the effort to make videos whist doing a days graft 👌
Hey PB videos are 100% help full I’am in evening collage change of career at 30 better late than never. But all your videos are a big help to get a look at life as a plumber
pb been watching you for a while now keep doing the videos they are great . they are not too long .you will always come across negative poeple think there just jel aint got the talant you have !
Great video as always. I think they should be longer. I like the variation of topics you cover 👍. I am a industrial and Commercial Heating Engineer but do work on domestic boilers in commercial premises and do do a little bit of plumbing. Thanks for taking the time to make these great videos .
Length is bang on mate. No more than 30 mins really. I'm loving your vids mate, I'm trying to decide whether to be a sparky or a plumber when I leave the army in a few years and your vids are helping me decide...
I watch every video , I’m not even a plumber, I’m a commercial heat and cooling technician in Boston area . Interesting how thing are done over in Europe, also watch James over at plumber parts , Allen Hart , Heavy diesel , dereton33 and electrician Thomas Nagy , great stuff thanks for posting
Started watching you guys , was running into Buderus GB and Bosch Greenstars boilers with corrosion issues, they don’t flush or add inhibitors here or even make provisions for power flush! Basically fit it and forget it .
That little DOC and PV spanner is amazing! After watching a few videos on the slice I’m thinking I need it now 😂 was hoping your Instagram bloopers video was in this one 😂 Videos are good as they are! Don’t change anything, in fact longer would be better haha, beats talking to her
Thought I recognized those washers, Had that same fault same range of boilers two or three times ,funny thing was three of the four washers were ok the fourth had simply disintegrated. The boiler range ( and they go under several names ) were an absolute disaster .We were renewing them from 5 years on even though they has been serviced properly , my tip is to replace them rather than spend any serious money. Possible the worst condensing boiler ever made! I used the head from a 22mm gate valve to turn the pump valves on and off. I like the fact that your postings deal with several different job types and situations . They move along at a good pace , highlight unusual or important points but without getting bogged down with the obvious.
Alright mate... them sure stops I fit loads on a housing association estate I maintain. They are great as you mention but some of places they have been fitted... dear god... half the kitchen out just to get to them as sometimes I’ve been called to replace them! I swear watching your videos will bankrupt me! I need a funky pipeslice haha! Cheers pal! All the best. Marc.
I love the Milwaukee pipe cutters had mine for years now. When the winter comes you should get one of there heated jackets now you have the platform they are so good for working out in the cold
Shame I couldn't get to Installer this year 😔. Great video matey. I've yet to install a SureStop so thanks for the explanation. As you said working on your own makes learning from more experienced trades very difficult, so all your advice and tips are invaluable to me. 👏 😊
Great videos - keep them coming, not too long at all, maybe make them longer 25/30 mins, also go into more details on things Thanks again and all videos are great and always learn something from watching them
Hello Great videos. I do plumbing repairs all day then come home and watch you doing yours. Crazy !! If students are watching you ought to show some of the *!@t holes we have to work in. The ones where you have to wipe your feet on the way out !!!
Tool companies must be loving you right now! My first rule to any apprentice would be to put dust sheets down. The Milwaukee cutter is brilliant for stripping out loads of pipe work, do you know if you can change the blades? The Milwaukee hakzall and screwdriver are worth getting now you have the batteries etc. What’s your thoughts on this new glue for copper fittings?
Do a video of your van .... it’s so organised and I would like to see how you have fitted it out .... also a basic estimation of the price of your tools
Just saw briefly you have a load of small dewalt boxes for screws etc, where you get them from please mate? Great vids, learning lots of you, new to the industry myself. 4 years and counting. Cheers
Another great vid PB 👍 definitely not too long at all. A quick question for your powerflushing video - do you powerflush microbore systems? Or would you find alternative ways of cleaning the rads? Cheers!
Not too long PB. I'd still watch if they were longer. Content wise, do what you think is right. Specific topics, 'day in the life' stuff, kit talks...I'm sure it will all be received well. Bit of hate for the kitchen fitters in this one! Lol. Not all kitchen fitters are ar@#h°|$ When I fit a kitchen, always take into account the customers access to valves, stoptaps etc and of course, any other tradesmen that may have to carry out work in the future. Keep up the good work! 👍
My personal opinion is you have a great variety of jobs, and the length of the videos are reasonable. Liking that racket spanner, might invest soon.. O yea pb, got a question for you, since you have started these videos , do you find that work/jobs are taking you longer ? And if so does it affect your day to day life.? Keep up the good work mate 😀 Have a great weekend .
Really enjoying your vids m8 fair play I’m a plumber to but site based and as you know it’s a different beast, Just a quick question you have an amazing tool kit just wondering about your screw gun etc being Malabo Got put off them years ago and in 15years off site plumbing I hardly see anyone using them what’s attracted you to that make, As all your other stuff is top off the range. Keep up your blogs really good and like that your not giving away all are secrets Regards Micky
Not too long 20-30mins would be perfect. I've been doing this for 16 years now and love all theses really handy tools you find. Only negative thing is you are costing me a small fortune!! And for losing washers, cutters, screwdrivers.... all the time drives me insane
just to say your videos are NOT too long, better than anything on the tv! 30 mins would be even better.
Vids not too long. Very good conscience about not talking and driving. Brilliant

How do you get informed about the plumbing shows or events ?
That’s another tool I’ve seen on your videos that I’m buying. The spanner for pump and drain off looks very useful :) keep up the good work.

Hello
Great videos. I do plumbing repairs all day then come home and watch you doing yours. Crazy !!
If students are watching you ought to show some of the *!@t holes we have to work in. The ones where you have to wipe your feet on the way out !!!
The longer the better for me so long as they've got the content. Sure stops loved by the housing associations.
Another plumber here. This is one guy that I would have in my house. not many plumbers iv seen get that accolade.
pieface952 what a compliment! Very kind of you to say mate ✌🏽
It's not just good workmanship. U clearly like ur job that is important.
Fantastic vids pb. Just wanted to know if you could do a vid on how to change the cutting wheel on the Milwaukee auto pipe cutter. Thanks
Oh and keep these videos the same length mate! Obviously if you’ve only time for a short one then fine... I’ll watch em regardless!
Great vids , too short if you ask me... keep it up 👏
Tool companies must be loving you right now!
One long video a week works well for me, perhaps say whats in it at the start? Oh and more tool reviews/TopTips 👍
good to see band of builders gear you have on
Do a video of your van .... it’s so organised and I would like to see how you have fitted it out .... also a basic estimation of the price of your tools
Great video the vid are top 10
I have the same grips great for doing 50mm armoured glands .
Pb they are interesting time them as long as it takes always interesting and useful. Alex
Just saw briefly you have a load of small dewalt boxes for screws etc, where you get them from please mate? Great vids, learning lots of you, new to the industry myself. 4 years and counting. Cheers
Another great vid length is fine👍 powerflush next?
Steve Reynolds yes mate powerflush booked in for Monday 👍🏽
A very nice white dust sheet would save possible damage to a light brown carpet and mak location of the missing washer even easier
Another great vid PB 👍 definitely not too long at all. A quick question for your powerflushing video - do you powerflush microbore systems? Or would you find alternative ways of cleaning the rads? Cheers!
These boilers are watering cans. Over the years I must have repaired hundreds of the from lip seals. to spit expansion vessels.
Not too long PB.
I'd still watch if they were longer.
Content wise, do what you think is right. Specific topics, 'day in the life' stuff, kit talks...I'm sure it will all be received well.
Bit of hate for the kitchen fitters in this one! Lol. Not all kitchen fitters are ar@#h°|$
When I fit a kitchen, always take into account the customers access to valves, stoptaps etc and of course, any other tradesmen that may have to carry out work in the future.
Keep up the good work! 👍
Vans looking smart
My personal opinion is you have a great variety of jobs, and the length of the videos are reasonable.
Liking that racket spanner, might invest soon..
O yea pb, got a question for you, since you have started these videos , do you find that work/jobs are taking you longer ? And if so does it affect your day to day life.?

Have a great weekend .
Love the van I can’t keep mine tidy
Really enjoying your vids m8 fair play I’m a plumber to but site based and as you know it’s a different beast,
Just a quick question you have an amazing tool kit just wondering about your screw gun etc being Malabo
Got put off them years ago and in 15years off site plumbing I hardly see anyone using them what’s attracted you to that make,
As all your other stuff is top off the range.
Keep up your blogs really good and like that your not giving away all are secrets
Regards Micky
Keep them this length 👌
That slice would be perfect for cutting/sorting out your scrap
Got a sure stop in my house just for the outside tap, as the neighbors kids keep using it to fill up water bombs and pistols!
Not too long 20-30mins would be perfect. I've been doing this for 16 years now and love all theses really handy tools you find. Only negative thing is you are costing me a small fortune!!
And for losing washers, cutters, screwdrivers.... all the time drives me insane
Good editing, missed out the flood.
What’s that wrench called mate at the beginning, great vid as usual 👍🏻
I enjoy a 20 min video; its a decent length!
