- Of all the support champions in League of Legends, I'd say Pyke's playstyle is the most fit for the 2XKO / Project L roster - and here is why I think he would make a great rushdown fighter.

For the Execute, I feel like it should be an incredibly commital option with cursed high recovery frames if whiffed. This means incentivizing using it in the corner or when spaced properly. It should also be able to be countered with a well timed jump, but can always connect at the end of a combo
Raging Demon vibes, hard agree. Like flat out if you don't kill them with it, they basically get to kill you - or minimum they get a fat combo out of it. lol

@@heavyadrelingblogs5630 Plus that move does a lot of damage, but you certainly don't use it as a combo finisher.
I could see the "w" being more like zato's "break the law" move where Pyke goes under the ground just showing the edge of his weapon (like in it's reveal trailer) to then re emerge. So now let's imagine that the after image of the E not only follows Pyke but instead it imitates Pykes movements (not the attacks, so if pyke after using E moves 2 steeps backwards and jumps, the after image does the same thing).
So now let's imagine Pyke uses E to go to the right side of it's opponent and then uses W to go back to the left side, the after image now cross ups 2 times, one going to the right and the second time going back to the left where Pyke is, hitting the opponent 2 times.

Glad to see you made a follow up video! I love the idea of the execute! Maybe pyke could have a level up system(bounty system maybe?) that would allow him access to the execute if the conditions are met? Kinda like gogeta 4 in dbfz. The FGC is cracked so you know we will find a way to consistently get that execute. 😂
You aren't wrong man, if it's humanly possible some dudes in the FGC are going to be labing it 3 hours a day until they hit it about 98 percent of the time. lol Extra conditions sound right, just being able to execute off of full meter could be super busted for sure so bounty system sounds great.

From the little we have seen in Project L and Ekko though I think a huge thing for them is to make sure you can do more than ONE thing with a move.

Obviously i dont know what the blocking system will be.
But Pyke using E through you in my imagination should be blockable, leaving a small window for a light counterattack.
Then, if the enemy did not block it (or hit with good timing) and pyke went through him, he should have only a really tight window to hit Pyke but shouldnt do so, as the stun from the left will then come in. So the enemy won't attack you unless he a) finishes you or b) has a combo he can cancel into block.
So now let's say Pyke is on the right hand side and the clone is incoming from the left. If blocks are directional this is interesting in itself. But lets say it's not. (I dont think so).
Then still the enemy might have to worry about blocking heights. It would be interesting if Pyke could do different attacks when pulling his clone (like Noob Saibot has high, medium and low) and that this could be consciously timed by Pyke and the enemy who maybe dashes a bit to the left or right to manipulate the timings of the incoming attacks which may vary in height.

Despite Being a support, Leona would make a good fighter IMO. she has Sword+Shield for Mid-range poke or short range but strong moves plus SUN POWERS

Okay first off, I like these vids you are doing on Project L speculation and talking about how these Legends could fit into the game. Next that intro music screamed Bilgewater and would love to hear stuff like that for a stage or Pyke theme for the game, here's hoping for that. Lastly ya nailed it Pyke would make a nice flashy rushdown fighter.

tbh i think a lot of supports would be cool characters in project L. I see a lot of abilities from braum being good enough to make combo's of and playing more around blocking. For a lot of the same reasons you named pyke thresh could also be an amazing character.
Yea I think both Braum and Thresh would both be fantastic! I definitely want supports to get some love too, even some of the more oddball ones if their kits could be worked to to fit a fighting game better (which im sure they could!)

I think that W could be a tp to the enemy's back and the E could be the especial atack, if pyke hit you with his E you will be strangling with the clone and then pyke will dips you in the water where he will do his combo making a lot of dmg. (Sorry my english is sith xD)
Make the execution Have a long animation to give players to react against it, so the Execution is only best use for Combo chain, reduce the damage of it as well, 15 to 20% health seems a bit too much.
i think ghostwater dive should be a dodge kinda like what Videl does in dbfz if done properly pyke can either have a follow up where he pulls the target if far away or get behind them it could be used to get out of corners use it after getting downed to throw you're enemy off or to reposition and phantom undertow could be used in multiple directions either launching forward to dodge projectiles or backwards to dodge a command grab or a high damage close range attack

I was thinking he could work really well with the ability to mix up the enemy with his dash and his stealth so he can keep on the pressure whilst dodging attacks left and right... In short, make him like chipp from guilty gear

So what if syndra was added:
q= airbrone
w= grab move/ if an orb is present she'll do an additional combo attack
e= zoning attack/ parry
r= deals damage base on the amout of current combo

W can be a side switch move, so he can flank.. Down > Back >Special or flipped depending which side he is on, (Pyke dives under the "water" quickly and emerges behind the foe)
Here's an idea, you could make ghost water dive a sort of stance allowing him to dash back and forward, fash forward and back or just do the first command only and you could also use it a cancelable allowing for some sweet combos and also keep the projectile invincibility. You could make his assist be the "get over here". I feel like the ult doesn't allow comebacks for the enemy but i can't really think of an alternative...

I though Project L was going to have a switch in mechanic and I’d love to see him embrace the “support” role of being a super strong finisher with buffed moves after a certain amount of health and constant allusion plus hooks to finish the job. The balance for this would be his predictability. You know to watch out for a hook so play or switch to another allusive character, and if you dodge it he would be weak himself or at least open to combos.
The difference from say a Bruam (if they added him and the switch mechanic) is that he would be used more as a combo eater and would alt between frontline fighting while pyke would leave his teammate out for the whole gam and only show up to finish the job putting in more risk and reward playstyle.
Indeed it is! And 100 percent, I think your right and there could be some really interesting ideas of how tagging in and out could work. Those interactions could be an amazing way to make this game stand out from other fighting games and feel a lot more grounded in league with actual team interactions like that.
For the R, his execute, they could balance it around it costing substantial meter, assuming they have meter. Like Squiggly’s Raging Demon from skullgirls, costs 5 bars of meter, so you aren’t getting the opportunity to do it often. 5 seems quite large, I don’t think L would have a resource you’re generating that heavily and that much of, that said a smaller amount seems reasonable. It would also make you choose: do I burn meter now to get more damage out, or do I hold for the potential for the execute later.
I like it! And I do think there will be some pretty big meter gauges, most tag games do have them but probably not insanely big if it's only 2 v 2

With DNF Duel now out, if we assume there is chip damage in Project L, I could see Pyke's R being a good way to remove gray health + scaled damage accordingly, or flat damage if there is no chip involved.
They could also bring in moves from his ruined king move set as well, along with yas, braum, illaoi, and miss fortune

I think it's important for this type of theorization to also look into other riot games media or games since they could also take inspiration from there, for example Pyke appears in the Ruined king game wich gives him a bunch of attacks that may not be in League perse but are totally things that Pyke can do and are canon

Him, Rakan, Shen and Pantheon are my most played champions and I have hopes for all of them making it in the game with interesting kits.
They would all be fantastic choices for a fighting game too tbh. Rakan ive heard some pitch him and Xayah as one joint character that that would be super cool especially
Rakan is pretty popular(even though I don't think he fits particularly well) and Pantheon is PERFECT, but shen I don't know, they would have to create a moveset from scratch Because there's not a lot you can use
He would be a pretty fun rushdown character.
For the ultimate: Maybe it can be used with 100% success rate at killing the enemy at 15% or below health. Then the next round starts with pyke crossing the player off of his list as like a taunt sequence. Executing the enemy can either make the enemy start with 15% less health next round or maybe take a small percentage of increased damage.
I don't like this at all, but did make me think, if for some god forsaken reason they wont a must put a execute in fighting game, how about it can only be used once in a match

I’d say make his Ult work like an Astral Finish from Blazblue. Opponent has to be below 30% hp at the start of the combo, and you need max meter. It works just fine in BB so it’s been proven to be fine.
the E could, instead of stun, force the enemy to look away so he can backstab and he would only be able to kill with the ult if the enemy doesn't parry, but it should be able to be parried in order to make it counterable in my opinion.

I don't think the no damage scaling could be balanced properly, but another important aspect of the ult is that it resets on kill and grants your team extra gold, maybe they could make it so its a low damage supper in comparisson of the rest of the cast, but its easy to combo into and if it kills it doesn't cost meter (just a thought tho, Im not a game designer)

I'm wondering if you could combine Pyke's W and R to make X-23's Dirt Nap Level 3 Super. Make him completely invisible and give him an unblockable that does more damage the more HP the opponent is missing.

To be fair Q, W, E could just work the same. His E can even be a good nutty mixup assist that also leaves them in like +20 blockstun lmao.
When it comes to his solo gameplay it doesn't really need to be overloaded or changed too much. Hard knockdown to some classic League Pyke combos. I don't know about the execute mechanic though. Regardless of how many meters it takes I think a guaranteed kill on like a 10-20% health enemy is too much. Maybe it can have a property that it gets your team meter or a stat bonus when you kill an enemy with it (Considering if the game doesn't end when you kill off one character)?
Yea I think his core kit really wouldnt need much changed tbh lol I agree that the execute could be scary, and will need to be given some attention if he does make it in but it also really depends on what everyone else can do in the game, we still know so little as it stands. In a game like marvel killing 1 character who is already at 20 % health is the least of what a full stack of meter can get you - and even KOF 15 you can chain lvl 1 to 2 to 3 if your maxed out and near kill someone outright from full health haha Guess we will see what everyone can do, if everyone is broken then no one is! lol

The ult could work like KI ultra combos
pyke keep execute just no no no, if they feel they can't just drop that execute or the ability on a hold. I would propose a mark they ability witch can be followed by a second super for extra damage or a reactive of a free interrupt, or a special combo ender while doing a combo while the target it marked.
Now remember they said it would be a tag game, maybe it could be a low damage super which locks you from switching for a while, idk if that would matter, cause i believe you share 1 health bar, and that might be a bit frustrating to play vs.

I think they should do Pyke´s E like Kabal in MK11, if gets blocked, he gets stunned for a moment. He should also have movements like hooking his enemy, then throw him to an acuatic portal or something like that, that would be sick!.

This sounds so dumb but I'd love if they added a super minion as a playable character. I don't know how but I think it'd be so incredibly funny to have 159 characters in the base game to chose from and end up having a character that is just.. well.. a minion.
