Unboxing: Pilot Kaküno Glass Blue Fountain Pen

Gosh, it’s been over a year since I last uploaded a fountain pen unboxing video. Life got in the way and I’ve accumulated more than a few pens since then and they are all patiently waiting for me to get them out of their box and onto my desk! My usual self would want to open them in the other that I got them - assuming they have a designated ink waiting for them already - but I decided to not be such a stickler about it and roll however way I want! So I may just open my more recently bought pens first… that is, assuming they do have an ink to pair with already 😬. I am also going through a bit of a reshuffling of pen and ink phase, so that is taking me awhile too.
I found out about the special edition Pilot Kaküno Glass Blue from Nurajari (on Instagram), and, well, obviously, I couldn’t resist it. I have a small collection of Kakünos in mostly blues as well as many colourless ones that are back-ups in the event I don’t have a pen for a particular ink. They’re affordable, the quality is great, and they look cute too! I decided to pair it with some Visconti Blue ink, and the colours seem to go well together. The Kaküno is quite a forgiving pen though and so far seems to work quite well with most inks. I will just need to get used to the Fine nib as I am definitely more of a Medium nib user. I am still happy with my purchase though!

What a lovely color! I have a Kakuno in clear because I love how the ink color shows through the barrel ^_^

I have a few of the clear ones. I use them when I have more inks than pens 😅
