    Excellent as ever Chris, great suggestions too about incorporating lines, melodies and concepts in different ways and adapting them to different styles of music.

    very smart! I think people could use the same idea with my funny valentine intro with the descending line R-> maj7 -> 7-> 6 on a C minor chord (Cm->Cm(Maj7)-> Cm(7)->Cm(6) for instance. So we could inject a bit of my funny valentine (with transposition) taste into autumn leaf at the end of A section when there are 2 bars of min chord.

    Perfect lesson in using something familiar through a jazz standard. This has really helped me in finding some creative ideas for chord embellishment and creating something original. So refreshing to have a well made and concise CZcams lesson without the usual gimmicks and distractions. Thank you Chris for making these inspiring videos. What a beautifully rich guitar tone too! I've probably missed this in previous posts - but whats your set up here?

      Thank you. I am playing through a quilter 101 mini reverb head and coming out of the headphone jack into Logic pro x on my imac (via a UA interface)

    This is such great learning Chris. Do you have this worked out for the entire tune? I’d be happy to buy that chart. Thank you.

    chris, your video on this from 5 years ago and your arrangement were played in g major. just curious to why you now play it in Bb major. i find this kind of insight helpful and would love to know your thinking around that. thanks as always!

      G and Bb are the 2 most common keys for this song, so I play it and work on it in both keys.

    Great video! Btw, what is the purpose of the three screws behind the pickup?

    • @ChrisWhitemanGuitar
      @ChrisWhitemanGuitar  Před rokem

      Thank you! Those are the mounting screws for Charlie Christian pickup. They connect to the pickup bracket that lies inside the body and parallel to the top.
