The Potensic D80 is a GPS Camera Drone with Brushless Motors which should be very easy to fly for beginners! It would make a great first drone to learn how to fly on while still maintaining HD video and an enjoyable experience. Yes, it is a knock off of some other drones on the market (or maybe a rebrand) but a good one at that. We love how it looks, and even more so how it flies! Looks like a Buggs to me also. I may get one some day. I hate the beep , beep, beep. I have been flying out back with my new Sky King. I can tell you this Sky King is 10 times better than my first one. They added two nuts to the nose to fix the tail heavy problem. I had put a couple pennys in the nose of my old one. I think I used 3 and wrapped them in tissue. I added LED light strips to mine. Red and green with white on the body. Everything unplugs so the wings come off. I have to say, WL Toys have made an effort to improve the Sky King and even after 3 years, they continue to sell them and made them even better. Thats a home run for me. Its a simple 3 channel plane and I think most guys would enjoy it.

Really great demo from you two. I've got this drone and it is a fun and great drone. As you mentioned it seems to be a Bugs 3 copy. Video and pictures are always so clear. It's a much quieter drone than others. It does seems to hold its position very well even in high winds. That beeping noise is because at 50% battery on the drone will make it start beeping, though I wish it would do that at the 25% mark instead. Glad you liked the drone...makes me feel a lot better about owning several. Really appreciate you two taking the time to give reviews...your likes and dislikes of drones. All my best to you both.

This drone is amazing. Crashed it into a tree three months ago, couldn't find it until 2 weeks ago. Everything still works, including the camera. It survived 3 months during Michigan winter and spring 😂

Great GPS drone. But the Potensic D80, MJX Bugs 2SE, JJRC X8 Cetus and the Altair Aerial Outlaw are all exactly the same drones. Just different names and stickers. Even the controllers are identical. So buy the cheapest one if you are interested,as there is no difference. Also i have flown mine a distance of 1300 metres, before returning to home and a height of over 150 metres. Fantastic drone for the money.

1st cudo's to Josh for the new field to try,has limitations, but still workable. What about the field down the road. Overall a good drone,video quality was pretty good,BUT, ya knew there was a but coming. 😉. Since the video was decent it should have had stabilization. Also since you didn't turn the beep off guess ya can't. 5 + minutes of that beeping 😫😫. Aww well good review,, have a good evening, and Nate your turn with Amelia tonight. 🤗🤗.
Hey guys. I was watching an older review of yours of a drone that was showing 19 satellites and you said that you were skeptical because you've never seen one of your DJI drones with that many. Believe it or not, I was flying my Spark today and had 19 satellites. I was like "holy crap" I have to tell Nate and Abby. Anyway, great vid as always, and much love from me and my two Chihuahua's.
Another nice video Saylors, and thanks to Josh for the use of the field. So this is a 5G Wi-Fi fpv drone, not to be confused with a 5.8G fpv drone. In other words, it works with a phone, not goggles.

Poor drone haha, just for my information because I have this drone, did it go into fishing because of a human mistake or it went down suddenly or something? Sometimes I'm afraid of it going down without returning "home" first

What do I hit on the controller to kill the motors so I can land this drone ? Every time I try to land it it keeps hitting something. I'm not sure of the proper way to land and the instructions are not very clear.

My potensic D89 bugs drone Arrived yesterday but I can’t seem to figure out how to get that plastic covering piece off so battery can be connected to the drone.. that cover piece is in a tight spot!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
I want to like this but it will not connect to my phone until the battery is almost dead. I waste the battery trying to get the drone connected to the phone. It connects after the low battery warning beeps. Very frustrating.
It seems in the past year or so, a wave of Bugs derivatives has poured into the market. This one seems to continue the solid Bugs reputation. It's great to see so many affordable options for consumers to get the benefits of these proven designs. I enjoyed the views of the area surrounding Josh's field.

Hi I'm new to drone flying and got a cheap drone that I lost within 5 minutes unfortunately. It didn't have gps or return home. I was wondering if this drone has auto return to home if the drone looses connection with the controller or if the battery gets to low? That's one thing the Syma X8 pro has but after I saw your review of that drone I decided I may not buy that one but this one looks great.
It would be a good one to have some fpv fun with.
Does anyone know anything about their being a beginners mode on the app that will only let you fly 125 m in height? My bird will only reach the height of 125 m in the air and stop??? If anyone knows If there is some kind of beginners mode I can turn off or anything else causing it to only go that high please let me know.

Audon Martinez it’s called the x-drone app. Make sure your iPhone is fully updated on software. To connect to the drones camera feed go to WiFi settings on your phone and connect to the drone network
Why did they take the telemetry lcd screen off the transmitter? I see they have done this with the newer bugs B5w?
I can buy a b2c for as low as 109.99, why would I buy this for 199.99? This makes no sense to me, please explain if there is something I am missing.

I'm new to the drone world, but I just purchased this one. I can't connect to the FPV app. I connect to the drone in my settings, but when I go to the app it indicates I'm not connected when I go outside my house. What am i doing wrong?

Great video. I just purchased one of my own after watching your demonstration. I did notice that I am only able to get my drone to elevate to 17 meters, then it stops. Did you have any issues like this?

Are you successful in flying in headless mode. My D80 has gone out of control in headless mode. Makes me afraid to use headless.

Camera quality is descent. Not great and it shakes a lot. Doesn't even come close to my DJI Mavic Mini. Thanks for the video.

I wanted to let you guys know I took my Bugs 3 out and it was awesome and pretty quick. BUT I gave it full power ahead and when I went to back off and turn it around it had a mind of its own and flew to coop.. I'm not sure why it did it but I watched it go until I couldn't see it no more. I'm not sure of the technical problem but have you guys ever have this happen?? I think I'll order one of these. I was more upset about losing my camera that I had on it as it cost more than the drone.. lol
That sucks! I bought aWL Toys V913 helicopter and took it to the local elementary school to practice hoovering. Well... It hoovered once...then it took off and kept going. I chased it behind the school into some 25 foot pine trees. It took me three days with a pistol Type cross bow with fish line tyed to it. I was able to get a branch it was stuck on and shake it down. The main gear was chewed up and battery was totally dead. I ordered a new main gear and new battery and receiver( that failed). I still have that helicopter. I have flown it a few times since then but now I have much better ones. I have gotten my drone stuck in a few trees myself. I lost my 007 drone like you did, except it flew into the bay. I watched as it got smaller and smaller over the water, then lost power and dropped into the water. PLUNK! I took the batterys out of the transmitter and threw the box, transmitter charger and all in the trash can at the park I was at. It was my first camara drone.
Once again the near 4 year old hubsan h501s smashes this drone into ground. I honestly think no company will ever take the crown of the h501s
