Open cell doesn’t absorb water. It goes through it. Closed cell is high r rating.

Did they use any kind of Primer first? What about later when the Container sweats will the foam detach from the Metal walls?

Absolutely not. It is not necessary to put a primer on it. It will never sweat that is why you use spray foam.

How thick did they spray it, on average?

We agreed to 2" However, I made them lunch and the later the day went on the thicker the foam got lol.. In some places I got as much as 4" I think the average is 3"
