My Pothos Plant is Drooping and Limp?

  • Pothos houseplants sometimes start dropping due to excess water. The Pothos plant prefers a neglected lifestyle with less water versus more. This plant would rather receive less water. The plant itself will start to droop and look very limp. That’s because the plant is going through a transition. Of figuring out if it wants to be in water versus soil. You have to remember that this plant can also live in water but it has the transition over.
    Your Pothos plant could also be looking bad due to an adequate amount of sunlight. Consider moving your Pothos plant to a different window to see if receiving more sunlight will bring it back to life. These plans are considered a low light house plant but I actually prefer medium to high light.

    I think my pothos is gonna die. I can't figure out if its underwatered or overwatered. It's drooping, yellowing, and browning in some spots

    This is so helpful! We definitely overwatered our plant.

    I was definitely overwatering. My baby is looking mighty mighty droopy. Repotted her today and put her in a larger flower pot. Her older "pot" was a recycled juice bottle and it wasn't letting out enough water (started growing moss and some icky orange stuff inside the soil). Anyway repotted using damp soil, proceeded to water it😂🤣 which now I know was a mistake. But that's it, no more. Gonna add a reminder to my phone for 2 weeks. I'll go with the 2 week watering mark. I pray my baby flourishes. I also moved her from outdoors and placed her right by my bedside and I'm so happy. I'm like genuinely so happy lol didn't know plants could make you this happy. Anyway she's still a baby with about 5 little leaves at the bottom and 3 bigger ones (the newer ones) at the top. I still haven't named her, waiting for an appropriate name to pop up. Anyway this is such an unnecessarily long comment considering I'm literally talking about my plant lol New plant mom here🙈🥰❤️ God bless you and thank you so much for the tips🙏🏾❤️

    The problem with my pothos plant is that it’s drooping but at the same time it’s dirt is WAYY too dry even though I water it

      @InternetRappers Před 10 měsíci +1

      You have to soak it. If you water it from the top and it drys fast it’s because the soil isn’t absorbing the water. Try soaking it in a tub

      @@AConundrumPodcast hey!!! Yeah it worked for me
      When I bought the plant, the store owner told me only spoak it once a week , but that killed my plant ,so on the second try I soaked the plant with water daily/every2 days (until I can see the water dropping from the pot )
      And now it’s growing really well with new leaves

    • @Lolo-kk
      @Lolo-kk Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@AConundrumPodcast I also put a small bowl/plate under it so if the soil doesn’t soak the water well, the roots can benefit from the water under it

    Thank you for this video my pothos are droopy and some of my leaves are yellow. I have a question about what pot I should keep it in should I get a perfect size pot without holes on the bottom for them?

    I accidentally overwatered my pothos plant but I placed it back in the sunny window to kinda dry out the soil. I noticed when I had it hanging the tip of the leaves were dripping. So the soil will dry I bit faster in the sunny window then I’ll hang it back in it’s spot. I also have some growing in just water, they do so well in just water as well. This is my favorite plant along with monstera and snake plant

    How do you save a pothos from cold damage?? 😅
    I feel terrible and am new to having plants.. but I forgot my pothos was in the car and left it in there over night and it got below 15F.. I brought it in the next morning and it is drooping, turning a very dark color and a little wet to the touch..
    Can it be saved? I feel so terrible 🙈😣

    Hello, I over watered two of mine. I cut the dead roots and repotted them in new dry soil. Will this save my plants?

    I failed twice trying to grow Neon Pothos and Golden Pothos in my fish tank. At first they were thriving but did not survive. I kinda use them to filter my nitrates

    My pothos is limp. The leaves aren't perky. The leaves r soft n mushy as is the vine part. I thought it died 2 yrs ago but made a thriving comeback. Now idk. The soil was dry. So I watered with no change. All the leaves are still green. No dis coloration

    My Pothos plant only grows well in water by propagation....the moment too many roots come out and I pot them in soil, it starts drooping and again lose some leaves and I have to put them in water....why doesn't it grow well in the soil???

    I totally forgot to water the plant for a few months. I removed the brown leaves and watered the remaining wilted leaves.
    Since it's winter I put under the kitchen sink light. The leaves are still green and limp. I hoping miracle grow will firm up the stems and lleaves.

    All of my pothos hate me. I will go some years where I neglect and they start to die I’ll go another year when I water consistently and they start to die or get gnats. I have bought new plants and I have the exact same issues regales of what I do. I have changed the pots to bigger and then changed to smaller pots. I have tried changing soil. NOTHING. And it’s not just one plant it’s all of them 😞
