The real test for clipping is holding the cable and clip when up a ladder. For years I made do with carpenters hammers, eventually purchased the Wiha version of the Hultafors. The difference was night and day. Far, far fewer clips shooting off to dark corners, and my fingers are damage free. However, the electricians hammer is no good for carpentry. Choose the right tool for the job, start cheap, and as you progress or destroy your cheap tools, buy better. Always try before you buy.
I have and carry the Wiha for the same reasons: weight, claw, head and butt. However, when working on a new build/fresh decorated etc and I know I won’t be removing things and want to keep a clean surface I use the Estwing DFH-12 as it has a great weight, lovely wooden handle and the double mallet head really protects walls and better finished wood. I’ve never damaged any finish with it.

Here in the usa alot of electricians either use cheap Stanley or a mid price easwing. Alot of people I work around have moved to the wiha hammer because it's simply better for the task. The biggest barrier with getting the wiha is there's az uk and high cost in shipping or az listings that sell 2 or 3 in a bundle for $50 each sadly many of us pay it. I see alot of people do the hammer linemans and the side cutter staple pull instead if carrying a hammer. It's best to buy the best quality tools you can that you actually enjoy even if they cost more. Heck I'd buy a titanium electrician hammer if they made one my body and bag weight matter more than a little money.
I've got the Wiha. I regret buying it. Needs to be about 50% heavier, it just bounces when clipping to wood. Also end cutters are much better than any hammer for removing clips.
Used a regular carpenters hammer for 15 years, before finding out there was an "electrician hammer". Now i feel stupid for using those stupid carpenters hammers... Everything gets mutch easier with the Wiha... 👍

At least in Sweden (where Hultafors are from) it feels like we clip a lot more cable than I seen it your videos. We barely never open up walls to just fit new cables in. And then we get a lot of clipping cable along roofs, trims and corners to hide the cable as much as possible. And I think Hultafors been around with that hammer longer, at least here in Sweden compared to Wiha. Still doesn't explain the hefty pricetag compared to them. Also a few carpenter hammers are a ton more expensive.

Ive always end stared with cheep till I break/loose tools then i buy the best if i feel i use it enough to justify :)
