Another thing to be aware of if you get snared is deliberate collisions. I was between Ariel and Ita, and when I got pulled out of QT I collided with another ship, and exploded. When I returned to the site, I found my wrecked ship and a wrecked caterpillar, and 70% of my spilled cargo was gone. I don't know if the pirates deliberately placed a ship in my path , but if they did it was effective.
If you do get interdicted, dont panic, turn our ship off, or just stop the QT as soon as the alert goes on. That will give you enough time to spool and take any other adjacent location as you're not really whithing the dampener's range yet. It works fine for me, only downside is, you should never leave your seat bot in game and IRL when in QT.
It does not work like this - once you are in that alert state, it is too late, no matter what you will end up in the snare range. Turning off your ship will simply mean that you end up with your shields down when you get pulled out.
