unity on the J8 and Jmix 8 master volume is all the way up. you had the amps set at 50% btw.
@@thenightlifenj1 ty for the clarification.
Have u ever heard the db technologies es802 speakers before I know there a couple off years old now and I know rcf are a couple more hundred watts and more DBS would be nice to know how they compare
@@andy2991 sorry we have not.
@@thenightlifenj1 if he had them at 50% then they must kick some ass at full volume
Amazed at the high number of people on here "testing" systems in the garden with no complaints from neighbours!
Without a doubt the best review we've come across on the entire internet for these speakers. Thank you!
Wow thanks :-)
Great review, really helped. Thanks man

Great review! I own a j8 and a jmix8 and I absolutely love these for ceremony set up and small receptions where I don’t want to lug around my big evox 12s. I’ve had so many compliments on the sound of this system! Great video!
Thanks for your comment. We have the 12 and agree, no need at smaller events and the J series are soooo light!
good info, thanks

Great review 👏 👌
So pretty much is the exact same speaker the only difference one comes with a mixer included
Thanks for the review- You can get four J8s or two Evox 12s
Very Informative. although I'd like to ask, if i wanna make sure that i'm buying an Italian make instead of a chinese make, should i just opt for the RCF models with wood body?
im just a singer but these guys are perfect. Wireless mic, guitar..thats all. Great product.
👍👍
Hi guys! Nice review. One question, how you go from the one JMix8 to the J8. I believe you go from the Dj controller to the JMix8. Thanks.
In this review we simply went out of the DJ controller direct to the L and R speaker main input. Both JMIX and J8 have same XLR mains.
Great review. If you had the chose between a J8mix and a J8 OR a pair of DXR15's as your only setup (outdoors event, indoor parties and occasional weddings) which would you go for??
Hey thanks for your comment. The Evox J8 is one of our fave systems to sell to people as their “First” - and just getting 2 full range and no subs is not a full system. We would rarely use a pair of 15s ONLY for an event setup and if we did it would not be the ones you mentioned. Hope that helps - you can always reach out to us at www.TheDJsGuru.com
@@TheDJsGuru cool, thanks. Definitely food for thought. My reasoning re DXR15s was that id rent subs as when needed to put under them for bigger events.
Hello,
I am a dj (wedding and parties) and I just bought an RCF evox Jmix 8.
I would have liked to have had your opinion and advice on the best solution for connecting to my ddj sz controller.
Should you connect directly to one of the inputs of the mixer integrated into the Jmix or normally through the IN input of the subwoofer?
Hope you can help me.
Thank you.
cordially
i don't own one, but isn't the input on the mixer ON the sub? Looking at a photo
This is an excellent review. It's a shame that RCF haven't done what EV did with the Evolve 50M where a pair can be hooked together to create a larger single system with double the inputs.
Ty. What exactly do you feel is missing from the J8 that would not allow you to do that? PS they also make the JMix8 which has a mixer - also in this video.
@@TheDJsGuru allowing you to connect two jmif8s together to create a larger mono system with double the inputs.
If you've compared both, would either the evox j8 or the evolve 50 (2 of each) replace Yamaha DXR12mkiis outside for 300-400 people (1 acoustic guitar/ 2 vocals)? Thx!
Yes for sure.
@@TheDJsGuru thanks
How many watts do these draw at peak?
Which has better bass/low end between these and the Evolve 50s? 🤔
I personally have the J8's and my buddy "had" the Evolves. He sold them to buy J8's. The RCF's have a deeper and cleaner sound by far. Wasnt even close.
Great review I'm am looking for this system for cocktail hr and my small family parties. It is between the j8 and evolve 30 for me (white of course) evolve 30 sexy look and mixer j8 more head room rcf quality.

1 J8 1 JMix8 🤯thedjsgguru.com
128 db in sound chamber at one meter for one second on a specific frequency yes
Regular use 110 max
You mentioned for 80 people, hard to say what size venue off course but could it work well for about 100 people inside a wedding venue? Medium sized?
All depends on room but I’d say up to 125-150 max
how do they compare to the Evolve 30m and Evolve 50??

Compare to the JBL EON MK2 how much bass and volume have this RCF EvoxJ8?
I have a pair of both. No contest, the J8 absolutely walks all over the EON One MK2 in bass and volume, but the EON is smaller, lighter, and is standalone battery powered... The EON One MK2 is great for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, the J8 is for the reception and dances.
What is the right way to set the knob on rcf? Full volume or just in 12 o’clock?
Full.
@@francescog53550 I see all Dj's rockin full on RCF's...
how about compare them against EVOX 8?
Evox8 made of wood by hand and is a far better speaker, piece of gear and long term investment. The J8 is incredible for the price but the components are put into a molded box by robot 🤖 and less labor intensive thus the cheaper price. Evox8 > EvoxJ8
@@TheDJsGuruevox J8 outperforms the evox 8 for everything. Evox 8 is old
Can I hook a mixer up to these to run a mic?
The J8 no, the JMix8 has one built In so just get 1 and 1
@@TheDJsGuru dope I’ll do one of each thank u

You recomended buy 1 evox jmix 8 an 1 J8?
It’s not a bad move - makes sense for flexibility.
which do you prefer the JBK PRX ONE or RCF EVOX JMIX8?
You should get those two, the EVs and JBLs and drop them off a 7 foot block wall and see what happens
Your comments are amazing! Keep them coming !
rcf j8 I got two of them because I have a pretty good out mixer
