  • When Jamie-Lynn Sigler was 20 years old, she was on the biggest television show, The Sopranos on ‪@HBO‬. She was on top of the world! Until she wasn't. As the 3rd season was starting, Jamie-Lynn received a diagnosis that would alter the course of her life -- Multiple Sclerosis. In today's show, I interview the actress and activist about her journey with MS, her initial reaction to her diagnosis, her early symptoms, her current treatments and lifestyle changes including her partnership with ‪@Novartis‬ and ReframingMS.com. Hey Doctor can you get more into detail on the actual disease. Why does our own immune system attack our protein. Why do our immune systems go into this hyper reactive state.

Great q'ns. On a basic level, it doesn't make sense why our own immune system attacks its host...! I like this explanation from Johns Hopkins www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/what-are-common-symptoms-of-autoimmune-disease#:~:text=Autoimmune%20disease%20happens%20when%20the,wide%20range%20of%20body%20parts.
