*Interesting new school near Lagos www.nautiluz.pt/ Hi guys - apologies to the German School for getting their titles wrong and a few mix ups with the dollar versus Euros. All prices are in Euros.
Thank you Sir, we're considering to move to Portugal and search for a school for our kids! This video is helpful and we definitely will contact some of them! Greetings!
Hey Nick, great video... really informative, as you know we're looking at schools so this has come at the right time. Keep on putting out this awesome content! Thanks
Thanks a lot Nick. I found about Algarve and your channel today, by chance. Your videos are packed with tons of valuable information. Aerial shots are also very good for people who have never been there. It separates your content from many others in a good way. Appreciate your efforts.
Hi Nick, great video as usual. I am going to Vilamoura this weekend, wondering could you recommend a bar that will show the Lions Springboks test match?
Hi Nick ! Great video - thanks so much for uploading. Super interesting...I just wondered whether you have a sense of how much demand there is for international school places at the moment? Do people find it hard to get their kids into the schools or are there always spots for those who want them? Also I get that a lot of young professionals have moved to Lisbon/ericeira area on the west coast on the digital nomad visa, but I've always seen the Algarve as a place where lots of (particularly Brits) retire to. Has that been your experience or is there a growing young/professional expat population in the Algarve or is the expat population still predominantly retirees?
Hi Lydia, there are lots of retirees but there are good populations of younger 30-40 years old digital nomads. They organize themselves really well. I'm actually going to interview some of the ringleaders pretty soon. Yes, international schools do appear to be tough to get into but not impossible.
Your daughter had a great future in CZcams. My daughter enjoyed seeing her. This is Paulo by the way. I was also very impressed to learn about the brave academy. I have never heard about it but thanks for bringing that up to our attention. Tim Vieira’s experience is impressive! I have submitted a request for more information on their website and I mentioned I learned about it from your CZcams channel. Hopefully it’s not too expensive. Sounds like it’s 6,000 euros per year which is great. All the best to you and your family, Nick.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Great information! Are there any international schools that provide services for children with learning differences and/or neurodivergent students? I haven't been able to find much information regarding the appropriateness of programs for children with autism or other differences.
Good information Nick. I'm currently looking at properties in Portimao in order to move. My niece who is in 9th grade is asking about going to school there. If she finished the last 3 years of high school in Portugal would she be eligible to go to the state University for free?
Hi Jason, did I say University was free in Portugal? I need to double check I said that, as it's not. Check the prices for the University of the Algarve just for starters: www.ualg.pt/en/tuition-and-fees
@@AlgarveAddicts yes, international schools, my retirement is a bit over $3000 but I'm only 51 years, and still have a 14 years old boy, even if I buy a house cash, maybe hard to afford $1000 extra for tuition, lol
The Portuguese history and culture is gone lost cause this people living in Portugal but never learn about the rich Portuguese history so in few years Algarve now more English history than Portuguese
Heheh, I don't think so, nothing can erase your incredibly rich history and with every passing year, more is discovered about what happened in the past.

From a foreigners perspective, I still find Portuguese traditions alive and well. I'm amazed how my daughter (even growing up in a mixed family) has such strong connections to Portuguese food, culture, music and history. I understand what you're saying that the foreign influence is taking away your nationality but I don't think it's as bad as you think.

Wow great video .... could you share which international school fees is lowest in Portugal
I'm not sure of the lowest ones, but it really depends on your location. The prices go up as your kids get older. Generally around €11-15k per annum.
Thank you this is helpful 💪
You're welcome Jason 👍🏼
Great content thanks
Thanks for watching Frank👍🏼
Hi Nick... I am looking forward to immigrating to Portugal- can you please share links for a job search in Portugal.
Hi, check out LinkedIn. 👍🏼
Hi Nick, I'd like to teach at one of these International schools. I'm also from SA and would like to chat to you about career prospects.
Hi Hilary, you might find it more beneficial to chat to the schools themselves? Check out the list on the International Schools Database.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Great information! Are there any international schools that provide services for children with learning differences and/or neurodivergent students? Hi Amanda, I'm sorry I don't know the answer to that question. I'd suggest you contact the schools themselves directly to ask this.
Amanda - inquire with Aljezur International School as well as Educan
Hello Nick, thanks for the content!!
And I think that the link of your site with schools are broken.
Hey Marcelo, thanks. Do you mean www.algarveaddicts.com/schools?
Aaah, I see, I just fixed it. Ooops, schoolboy error :) thanks for pointing that out.
