I knew Freddie Frith well. He won the TT in about 1930 something. He had a motorbike garage in Grimsby and was always helpful to us bikers. Cutting bills down, and finding unusual spares. Fred told me that him and his mechanic used an Ariel square four bike with a side car and trailer to get around. Two bikes where stored in the bottom and Fred and mate used to lift the apex lid and sleep in the top.Great Guy who we all miss. There's a great picture of him on his bike leaving the ground. Good luck Fred and enjoy your rest. Truly an unsung hero

What a gem this footage is, as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the MGP, having this history adds so much to its legacy.
