  • Former High Commissioner of India to the UK, Ambassador Yash Sinha, provides an in-depth analysis of the recent landslide victory of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom's elections. After 14 years, the Labour Party has returned to power, marking a significant shift in the UK's political landscape. Ambassador Sinha delves into the reasons for the Conservative Party's dramatic loss, citing economic mismanagement, anti-incumbency sentiments, and the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer, who has successfully repositioned the Labour Party to a more centrist stance.
Covering the broader implications of the UK's election results on the global stage, Ambassador Sinha examines how this political change might affect the UK's foreign policy, particularly its relations with the European Union, the United States, and key geopolitical issues such as support for Ukraine and the stance on Palestine. He highlights the delicate balance the new government must maintain in navigating these complex international relationships.
Furthermore, Ambassador Sinha discusses the potential impact on India-UK relations. He reflects on the historical context of the Labour Party's stance towards India and how Starmer's leadership might influence future bilateral ties, including the prospects of a free trade agreement. The discussion also touches upon the role of the Indian diaspora in the UK and how their influence might shape political outcomes.
This interview provides valuable insights into the UK's evolving political dynamics and their ramifications for global politics. Ambassador Sinha's expert perspective sheds light on the strategic considerations that will define the UK's domestic and foreign policies in the coming years. Don't miss this engaging and informative discussion on the shifting tides of international relations and the UK's pivotal role in them.

Clear headed and concise, a pleasure to see Ambassador Sinha on the channel again.
Would be great to hear him speak with Nithin regarding his legendary father, General SK Sinha, about his legacy and contributions to the forces and Bharat Mata. As a proud nation it is important to honour our heroes. Thank you

By just changing to Labour will mean little change in the UK . The UK needs total political and constitutional change to make progress , as it has stagnated for decades

Sunak was doing very well, but unfortunately it was not so suitable time. It is the "time" and The situation of UK which led to defeat.
However Sir Stammer will bea very good PM, with a little bit of correction he has a chance to be successful.
Wish Sir Stammer all success.May UK prosper. God bless.

Well , after 4 socks of Covid Brexit Russia ukraine war and finally Liz truss blunders it was impossible for any PM to control economy of UK in such bad shape.
Sunak took the right steps and finally able to control the inflation. But it's already too late. PPL r feeling the pinch it's natural that they will vote away from sunak. Also conservative party voters never like non white sunak who was anyway installed from above and not elected

bro it’s not the fight with Hindus or Christians but with your RSS HINDUTVA government, understand? When people like Amritpal Singh who was addressing all Punjab problems including drugs and conversions the government made him look like a criminal and charged him with terrorism… why because he was fixing Punjab’s problems and people started to give up drugs and started taking Amrit and becoming more religious?
Use common sense why do you think as soon as Sikhs get out of India they become Khalistan supporters? In India try saying you support Khalistan and see what happens forget India say it in Punjab, just as Amritpal Singh you’ll be arrested and put in prison without any due process or trial or any charges, this is not true democracy n
Or freedom to speak on Khalistan if you do then you get labeled as a terrorist and family members get arrested or harassed. The youth are discouraged by the elders so not to get involved in Khalistan politics.
(UAPA) Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, where the india government can arrest you put you away forever without due process or trial without any evidence or proof all they need to say is on the basis your involvement in terrorism against the country where all your properties will be seized.
This and other laws are what they’re using to exterminate the Sikhs living in India who are protesting against the Indian government for their mistreatment and Sikhs living outside of India that are not in their reach where they can’t use these laws then they hire hit men to assassinate them like in the case of this Sikh man named Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Sikh activist
in Canada. There’s been many other Sikhs targeted by the Indian government that I’m not going to go into details, just recently the Indian government it was revealed that India government is working with the Taliban to target Sikhs and Kashmiri activists but all along they say ISI Pakistani government is doing this. My advice is work with the Sikhs who are advocating a solution to this issue, draw up lines let them have their Khalistan before all of India becomes Khalistan, the lines have been drawn and western countries know India government isn’t going to stop killing the Sikhs for supporting Khalistan and Sikhs aren’t going to stop until they get it either.. so only solution sit down with the Sikhs at the table and negotiate the lines for their nation give them their country before it’s to late for all of India
