Was there. It was epic. Gordon was probably oblivious to the fact he was driving a stake through MJ's soul. He's honestly such a nice guy. He's the type to wet you up for 40 all while telling you nice shot/good play/nice defense the whole time and truly mean it.

I consider myself lucky to have watched Greg Oden, Mike Conley, and Eric Gordon play basketball in high school. It was awesome seeing them dominate in high school and college. I'm glad that Gordon and Conley are still having solid NBA careers even though Oden's career ended on a bad knee injury.

It happens, in Latvia where I am from our basketball legend from the 80s wanted his both sons to play in NBA one day, a feat he could not do because he was in Soviet Union at his prime... his sons played in the national team and were decent enough but never could reach NBA level, at the same time a local basketball coach and local level former player in a small town coached his two sons, Dairis and Davis Bertans and both of them did get to NBA, one is there still, another had a brief stint in New Orleans Pelicans, just 12 games but he got there. Genes are not everything and also maybe the best player is not the best coach... and also the pressure is a factor
