For those who are wondering the chord progression is: C# Maj7 - C7 - E# m7 - D# m7 - G#7 then C# Maj7 - C7 - E# m7 again. She's using her thumb to hit the base note for the Maj7 and 7th chords. The melody is just C# major scale focused around the root at 14th fret on the B string.

What about the tab for the vocals??
It's slightly easier to think of the chords as Dbmaj7, C7, Fmin7, Ebmin7, Ab7 since it's in the key of F minor. It's the same chords/notes still though.
It's always the vibes like these that get me, no matter how alike they are to each other or how many times they've been done.
What are these "vibes" you speak of? Why not actually use a better word than a overused term that can basically mean anything?

For my Tele, I would just turn the tone way down, kinda gives it that muted feeling like the twang is cut out

Any of the jazzier fender guitars like the jazzmaster, jaguar or meteora can do the job just fine
insane amount of compression on that lead tone too
compressor with the attack set all the way up + a single coil neck pickup with the tone knob at 7
